Melissa Gilbert Remembers Her Sister Sara's Coming Out Process on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 6th 2011 6:30PM
Sara Gilbert welcomed her sister, former 'Little House on the Prairie' star Melissa Gilbert, to 'The Talk' on Tuesday. It was a sweet reunion and everything was going well until Sharon Osbourne took control of the conversation and steered it toward Sara's sexuality.

"When did you first realize that your beautiful sister loved vajayjay?" she asked. Sara slumped back in her chair and covered her face in embarrassment as Melissa told a few stories about Sara's coming out process. When they were teenagers, Melissa suspected Sara was gay, and took her sister out to dinner to remind her that she could tell her anything. But Sara wasn't ready yet, and told her big sister she wasn't gay.

Sara Gilbert and Kris Jenner Tear Up in 'Talk' About Marriage (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 30th 2011 1:50PM
'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) got emotional during a conversation about the virtues of marriage. Guest host Kris Jenner set the tone for the discussion when she brought up her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian, and said she felt blessed to have been able to find her second husband, Bruce Jenner.

"I was married to Robert for 13 years and I've been married to Bruce for 20, so I feel like the most blessed woman in the world," Jenner said. "I just feel so lucky," she continued, tearing up.

Then Sara Gilbert, who has been getting over a break-up with her long-time partner, shared her feelings. "I feel like I don't know if marriage is all its cracked up to, and I've never been married, but I was in a long relationship ... and it's emotional for me because we're not together, but I wouldn't trade that time. But then you see people in their 70s and you go, 'how do they make it last?' and I would like to be able to do that again," she said, fighting through tears.

Thomas Gibson Has Been Tweeting Pictures of His 'Criminal Minds' Co-Stars' Feet (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 27th 2011 6:45PM
'Criminal Minds' star Thomas Gibson has working on some interesting projects lately. He guest-starred on the 'Two and a Half Men' premiere in a sort-of-but-not-really 'Dharma & Greg' reunion, and in his spare time, he's been tweeting pictures of his co-stars' feet.

Gibson tried to tell the ladies of 'The Talk' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS) that doesn't have a foot fetish, but they weren't really buying it. "Everybody thinks I do, but I swear I don't, although I might be developing one now," he pleaded.

One of the foot pictures he tweeted belonged to a 'Criminal Minds' cadaver, which grossed out Sara Gilbert. Gibson assured her that it wasn't actually the foot of dead man, a development that makes him only slightly less weird.

'The Talk' Loses Hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete

by Maggie Furlong, posted Aug 15th 2011 8:40PM
Leah Remini & Holly Robinson PeetePeople are certainly talking about 'The Talk,' but it's not necessarily a good thing.

A few weeks back, rumors swirled that Sharon Osbourne would be leaving 'The Talk.' While Osbourne herself told us she was just taking a little break to spend time with her husband Ozzy, it looks like the same can't be said for two of her co-hosts.

Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete are reportedly not returning to CBS' daytime chat show for its second season.

According to Deadline and sources close to production, the talk show will be undergoing several changes next year. Contract options were renewed for series creator and co-host Sara Gilbert and her fellow 'Talk'-ers Julie Chen (who's married to CBS boss man Les Moonves) and Sharon Osbourne.

The options for Remini and Peete were not picked up, though there's no word yet on whether they'll remain with the show in a more limited capacity.

Nelsan Ellis Modeled His 'True Blood' Lafayette Character After His Mother (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 8th 2011 5:30PM
Nelsan Ellis of 'True Blood' on 'The Talk'Nelsan Ellis said Monday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) that people sometimes think he is his 'True Blood' character, Lafayette Reynolds. There are some big differences, including the fact that Lafayette is gay and Ellis is straight. But Ellis shared that there is a little of the Ellis family tree represented in Lafayette.

Sara Gilbert asked if people sometimes mistook Ellis for his character. "They do," he said, smiling. "Gay is just one part of Lafayette. People think that I'm everything that encompasses Lafayette, which is a lot. I'm too boring as Nelsan." His mother, who recently passed away, was apparently not boring at all. She never saw the show, but Ellis said she and Lafayette had a lot in common.

Royal Pins? Sharon Osbourne Fumbles Interview With Julie Benz (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 3rd 2011 5:35PM
Julie Benz of 'Royal Pains' on 'The Talk'Sharon Osbourne has had her share of flubs on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), and she continued her streak with guest Julie Benz. The 'Dexter' and 'No Ordinary Family' alum was on the show to talk about her latest TV role on 'Royal Pains.' Osbourne apparently misread her cue cards.

"Can you tell us about the character you play in 'Royal Pins?'" asked Osbourne. She was quickly corrected by her fellow panel members, and simply asked again, "What is the character?" Benz laughed it off. "For those of you who watch the show, I play the mom to Libby, and I'm a lesbian alpaca farmer," she said.

Sara Gilbert Exposes Holly Robinson Peete on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 18th 2011 8:30PM
Holly Robinson Peete on 'The Talk'Be careful what you dish out; it may come back to haunt you. Holly Robinson Peete found that out the hard way Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) when she told an embarrassing story about her mother and a pair of "True Religion" jeans. But Sara Gilbert quickly got retribution for Peete's mom with a photograph of Peete in the backstage make-up chair.

"I saw my mother one time bend over in a pair of True Religion jeans," said Peete. "I saw a thong and the crack of her butt and I lost my religion." Peete's mother was in the audience.

Shortly after that, Gilbert announced that she had a photo to show the audience, which turned out to be Peete with a bit of thong and butt showing over the top of her jeans. Peete ran to her mom for a hug, and then to Gilbert to give her a spanking. Extra points for the leopard-skin print make-up chair.

Smooth Blake Shelton Liked 'Roseanne,' But Loves Holly Robinson Peete (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 1st 2011 5:55PM
Blake Shelton gives up his seat for Holly Robinson Peete on 'The Talk'Blake Shelton, country music star and one of the coaches on the new singing show 'The Voice,' which debuts April 26, said on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) that he was a fan of the show 'Roseanne' and that he may have something of a crush on Holly Robinson Peete. He tried to be a gentleman about it, but he still managed to ruffle the feathers of Sara Gilbert and Leah Remini.

"I was like, wait, where's the love?" said Gilbert. "He's just a fan of 'Roseanne,' but he's got a crush on Holly?" But Shelton was smooth, saying his thoughts about Gilbert were "way beyond" a crush. Peete herself had not been participating in the interview, but when she came out, Shelton sat on the floor and offered his seat to her.

Peete mentioned another show Shelton had not given an opinion on, 'King Of Queens,' starring Remini. He got in trouble with Remini for saying he mostly liked shows that were on when he was a kid, but then Peete took offense. "That makes me old as hell," she said. Shelton had an answer for even that, saying that Peete was just a teen on that show.

Shelton should now be considered one of the smoothest guys on television. If he can escape the ire of three-fifths of the hosts of 'The Talk,' he should have no problem with auditioners on 'The Voice.'

Leah Remini and Sara Gilbert Share Competing Food Cravings on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 30th 2011 7:00PM
Leah Remini on 'The Talk'Leah Remini and Sara Gilbert are a world apart when it comes to their food cravings, something they detailed on Wednesday's 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). Remini gets hit with urges for fast food like McDonald's and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and even once wound up Tweeting Entenmann's in desperation. Gilbert's urges are a tad more esoteric.

So what's her craving? "It's this raw almond milk," she said, to taunts from her co-hosts. It's something a friend carries at their store. "Yummy yummy yummy milk," Remini said sarcastically.

Gilbert also said she liked raw chocolate ice cream. "Wait until you guys taste it," she said. That was apparently the last straw for Remini, who cut Gilbert off with, "Oh my god, blah blah blah. Anyway ..."

Sara Gilbert Advises How to Get Out of Your Next Traffic Ticket on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 25th 2011 5:10PM
Sara Gilbert on 'The Talk'Sara Gilbert gave some practical advice today on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). One of Gilbert's greatest fears, apparently, is getting a traffic ticket. She even said she was "obsessed with getting out of tickets." So much so that she has researched how to get out of them.

"I know that's so crazy, but it feels so bad to get a ticket," she said. Her main strategy is to befriend the cop, talk about how crazy the traffic is or compliment him on his holster. She'll go so far as preemptive strikes. "I'll go to Starbucks and there's, like, police officers there, and I'm extra friendly to them in case they pull me over in the future."

It has worked. Maybe her best method? Holly Robinson Peete asked if Gilbert had ever been recognized as Darlene from 'Roseanne' and if that had gotten her out of the ticket. "Scot-free," said Gilbert -- though that one probably won't work for you.

Johnny Galecki and Sara Gilbert Remember Their 'Roseanne' Days on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki on 'The Talk'Former 'Roseanne' co-stars Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki were reunited today on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), and Gilbert's co-hosts pumped him for gossip. Specifically, Sharon Osbourne wanted to know if Galecki ever had a crush on Gilbert and if he ever dated her.

Galecki admitted to having a crush, but turned to Gilbert to see whether she would technically call what they did "dating." "Sara's a very good kisser," he said. "I was more nervous about our kiss on 'Big Bang Theory' than I was on 'Roseanne' or even, previous to that, in personal life because you're the only person who can gauge if I'm improved as a kisser over the last 20 years."
