Kissing a Girl on 'Rizzoli & Isles' - Is Angie Harmon's Character a Secret Lesbian? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 17th 2010 5:29AM
There have already been some rumors that 'Rizzoli & Isles' is secretly a slightly, well, "lesbian" kind of show. ... And frankly, we're all in favor of that. But the cop drama seems to want to tease us with the question of whether its main characters are gay or not. Maybe the latest episode will give us some answers?[Spoiler alert.]
On tonight's show (Mon., 10PM ET on TNT), Jane Rizzoli has to go undercover to solve a murder. Well, that's pretty standard stuff for this series. But Jane (played by Angie Harmon) has to infiltrate a lesbian bar in order to catch the killer. And -- as if that wasn't enough already -- then she starts seducing the sexy female barmaid.
At this point, the soundtrack to the show becomes sort of "porn-y," for lack of a better word. "You know," Jane says to the bartender, "you said if I was ever feeling ... adventurous." Next, the barmaid leans in for a kiss. Is this the big 'Rizzoli & Isles' reveal that we've been waiting for?
'Rizzoli & Isles' - Trying to Fit in With the Rich Folks ... and Failing (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 10th 2010 1:40AM
It can be tough, trying to enter a different world. On the latest episode of 'Rizzoli & Isles' (Mon., 10PM ET on TNT), the pair of detectives investigate a murder that takes place in a very upper-crusty, wealthy sort of place.[Spoiler alert.]
The murder in question involves an extremely posh son of an upper-class Boston family. Now, Jane and Maura (played by Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander) must mix with the rich folks in order to solve the case.
Sadly, Jane doesn't really know what she's doing. Hanging out with wealthy people is surprisingly complicated!
... For instance, when you have dinner with rich people, there are so many forks and utensils to use. Jane just tries to navigate a simple meal, but still, she messes up. She can't even manage to eat some fish without getting in trouble.

For TNT, that means a new season of 'The Closer.' The network has just announced that season 6 will premiere on Mon., Jul. 12 at 9PM. Based on a series of Tess Gerritsen's novels, the show casts Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as a Boston detective and medical examiner, respectively, who team up to solve cases. TNT has always excelled with shows featuring strong female leads. As long as the acting and writing is up to par on 'Rizzoli & Isles' it should have a long life on the network.
