Ed Helms and Fred Armisen Would Like You to Watch 'Saturday Night Live' This Weekend
by Jean Bentley, posted May 11th 2011 5:20PM
'The Office' star Ed Helms is making his 'Saturday Nigh Live' debut this weekend, and he and 'SNL'-er Fred Armisen really would like you to watch the show.In fact, along with musical guest Paul Simon, the trio makes up a new gang called The Fun Boys. Or is it Team Fiesta?
We're not quite sure -- watch this week's promo and see for yourself. Also of note: the epic high five that Fredward and Edward attempt (and fail).
Is it just us, or does Helms seem like he'll be an 'SNL' natural?
Watch Tina Fey's Unaired Great Women Writers 'Saturday Night Live' Sketch
by Chris Harnick, posted May 10th 2011 3:00PM
'Saturday Night Live' paid tribute to Tina Fey and her new book, 'Bossypants,' with a salute to women writers. However, the sketch -- or possible alternate monologue -- never made it to air.
Turns out the salute wasn't much of a a tribute, but just a chance to make it look like Tina Fey thinks a lot of history's great female writers were pretty fugly.
Watch the video after the jump, and don't be surprised if you come to the realization that Bill Hader is a great narrator.
Andy Samberg Tries to Breast-Feed a Baby Doll on 'Today' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted May 10th 2011 1:25PM
Andy Samberg of 'Saturday Night Live' lovingly nurtured a (fake) baby on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC). In fact, Samberg was so intent upon breastfeeding the baby that he pretended to do so throughout his entire segment and even during a commercial break."I found this little lady backstage and she seemed starving. So, I'm doing my duty," Samberg said, cradling the baby doll. "She's hungry."
What to Watch: TV Picks for May 9 - 15

Survivor - Sunday May 15, 8PM ET/PT, Global/CBSRob Mariano has played his best game -- even if he does say so himself -- but is it enough to finally get him an elusive win? The Survivor three-hour finale airs tonight. The first two hours are, as always, on the island. Then Jeff and his blue shirt will travel through time to a live studio audience where the winner will be announced. I'm eager to see if Rob can keep control of the game right up to the bitter end. If so, the final three should be Phillip, Rob and Natalie. In any other season, I'd be rooting for Grant, the nice guy who's been strong in challenges, strategic in his voting and alliances and wears dirty dreadlocks well. But I love me some Boston Rob, so I'm rooting for him all the way.
Tina Fey Returns as Sarah Palin, Darrell Hammond is Donald Trump on 'SNL' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 9th 2011 12:58AM
Tina Fey returned to the stage that made her famous when she hosted 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC). She hinted about her most famous impression in the opening monologue, and then later she popped on those glasses and Sarah Palin was back! But Fey didn't return for this 'SNL' take on the recent Republican debate alone. She was joined on stage by impressionist Darrell Hammond doing his classic Donald Trump, as well as the usual cast playing some of the other Republican candidates. But it was Fey and Hammond who stole the show.
"I just hope tonight that the lamestream media won't twist my words by repeating them verbatim," Fey said in character. She took a moment to acknowledge the elimination of one of "the world's great villains," Katie Couric.
Tina Fey Hosts 'Saturday Night Live' (VIDEO)

Kicking off what she dubbed 'the Mother's Day episode,' Tina Fey hosted 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend with a dose of her usual self-deprecation.Making the most of her six-months' pregnant figure, the '30 Rock' star -- and former 'SNL' head writer -- brought out fellow expectant mom Maya Rudolph for a belly-bump greeting, and a song devoted to their soon-to-be-born children.
The soothing lullaby opened with lyrics such as "I cannot wait to know you," then quickly segued into a raunchy ode to procreation: "You are the proof that we've been doin' it....makin' super sexy heat...your mom and daddy been doin' it!" Mid-duet, the two even had a faux sonogram while each fetus -- Keenan Thompson and Kristen Wiig -- sang along in utero.
After the jump, check out a few of our favorite clips from Fey's hosting gig: her maternal, musical monologue, a sketch about a horrifying birthing class, and a parody of this week's Republican debate, which featured her famous Sarah Palin impression.

Andy Samberg of 'Saturday Night Live' recalled attending the White House Correspondents Dinner on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated). And, while star-watching at the event, Samberg joked that he spied a highly unlikely power couple."It's, like, 80,000 people," Samberg said of the dinner. "And it's, like, all famous people. Everyone in Hollywood goes."

Seth Meyers Tries to Convince Robert Pattinson to Host 'SNL' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 18th 2011 2:30PM
Robert Pattinson has confronted werewolves, rival vampires, even throngs of teenage 'Twilight' fans -- and come out unscathed. But what really scares him, the actor told 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated) is the prospect of hosting 'Saturday Night Live.' Both Kelly Ripa and guest host Seth Meyers tried to convince Pattinson to give live comedy a shot, but he wouldn't bite."It's terrifying," pleaded Pattinson. "It is scary," replied Meyers. "But then it's really worth it when you do it." Pattinson further protested that he wasn't funny, though Meyers was prepared for that, telling Pattinson that he'd been funny in a bit with Jimmy Fallon. Pattinson countered that he wasn't trying to be funny. "That's how it's going to work," replied Meyers.
Ripa also tried to assuage Pattinson's fears, saying she had hosted and that Pattinson would be fantastic, though Pattinson seemed unconvinced. So don't get your hopes up for an Edward and Gilly pairing anytime soon.
'Saturday Night Live' Cast Members Fondle Helen Mirren's Breasts (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 11th 2011 5:05AM
'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC) opened our eyes to the magical, serene world of Helen Mirren's breasts. The Oscar-winning Dame was an incredibly good sport.Nasim Pedrad asked, "Can I touch 'em?" Mirren replied, "Yes, of course." Over soaring music, Pedrad had visions of the sun rising, bunnies in tranquil fields, the moon landing, O.J. and the glove, 'Rudy', and Kerri Strug's one-legged vault.
Then she was surrounded by fluffy clouds and a robed, blond Adam Samberg. He informed her: "You're in a place that's much better than heaven. You're in Helen Mirren's titties."
Back in the 'SNL' studio, Kristen Wiig stormed into the room. "I'm having such a bad day," she said before burying her head in Mirren's cleavage. Ah, much better.

(Though she is just one year older than last week's host and musical guest, Elton John.)The Oscar-winning actress proved she was game for anything, with skits about Mary Shelley, strip clubs and taxes. Plus, she let Nasim Pedrad touch her breasts.
How did the Dame stack up against her fellow hosts this season? Check out a few of last night's skits and weigh in after the jump.

Elton John and Tom Hanks as Knights of the Realm on 'Saturday Night Live' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 4th 2011 1:06AM
In a rather silly sketch, even by 'Saturday Night Live' (Sat., 11:30PM ET on NBC) standards, the British Knights of the Realm are assembled to fight a dragon that's attacking London. Long ago, knights did just this sort of thing, but now their numbers include actors and other celebrities.Which is how Sir Elton John found himself presiding over the likes of Sir Michael Caine (Tom Hanks), Sir Bono, Sir Mix-a-Lot -- get it!? -- and Ringo Starr. Actually, Ringo Starr hasn't been knighted which is a recurring theme of the sketch.
Within the context of the story John was able to poke fun at Sting's alleged prowess and longevity in the bedroom and even Bono's disastrous stage production.
