FOX gives Lie to Me additional three script order

by Jonathan Toomey, posted Oct 21st 2009 9:34AM
The cast of Fox's 'Lie to Me.'Here's some good news for you "LieHards" out there:

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has ordered an additional three scripts for Lie to Me, the Shawn Ryan-helmed drama.

Assuming Fox approves the scripts once they've had a chance to see where the story goes, that'll bump Lie to Me's season two total to 16 episodes. It's not a full back nine - but it's closer. That being said, don't forget that Lie to Me was a mid-season replacement earlier this year and the fact that it got picked up at all was a pleasant surprise.

Tori Spelling holding a yard sale

by Julia Ward, posted Dec 8th 2006 5:21PM
Tori Spelling at Godfather DVD PremiereSince moving to Los Angeles a couple of months ago, I find myself asking people over and over again, "Celebrities have people to do this for them, right?" I first thought that upon my visit to the Los Angeles DMV. I stood around in the painful, crushing humanity of it all wondering whether or not Brad Pitt could hire someone to renew his motorcycle license for him. Isn't the whole point of fame and wealth in America not to have dally with the hoi polloi? Assistants are supposed to do everything menial for you so you can stay home and count your money or fly overseas and save an African nation with your tax return.

More scripts ordered for What About Brian

by Anna Johns, posted Nov 2nd 2006 8:11PM
what about brianABC wants to know what's ahead for What About Brian. The network has ordered four additional scripts, on top of the initial 13-episode order it made for this fall season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. What About Brian is about a lone bachelor among a group of 'attached' friends. It barely got a second season after just five episodes last spring, but viewership is growing. The hour-long drama has consistently placed third in its Monday 10 pm time slot, with an average of six million viewers. Last week, however, it edged out Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip to rank second in the ratings.

ABC has also ordered four more scripts from Men in Trees, Help Me Help You and The Nine, on top of the 13-episode commitment. The only new show on ABC this fall that hasn't received another script order is J.J. Abrams' Six Degrees (What About Brian is also an Abrams production). The network has not yet given a greenlight for the extra scripts to actually go into production, but the order is a good sign.

Adam Baldwin auctioning off signed 'Firefly' scripts

by Anna Johns, posted Aug 5th 2006 4:37PM
firefly scriptThere probably isn't a Browncoat in the 'verse who doesn't already know this, but Adam Baldwin, who played Jayne on Firefly, is auctioning off autographed copies of all 14 Firefly shooting scripts. The auction is on eBay and it closes in six hours (sorry!). Right now, bids for the two-hour pilot (Serenity) are up to $2,075. It is signed by Baldwin, Morena Baccarin, Nathan Fillion, Ron Glass, Summer Glau, Sean Maher, Tim Minear, Jewel Staite, Gina Torres, Alan Tudyk and Joss Whedon (oh, if only I had a trust fund!!). The money will benefit the Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation and the auction is being run by the California Browncoats.

If that's a little too rich for your blood, there's a lot of other Firefly stuff up for sale on eBay.
