Remember The Amazing Race's stupid family-oriented gimmick last season? No? Well, good for you! But for those who haven't been able to erase that debacle from their minds, there's some good news: the old tried-and-true format is back in season nine! CBS has released the names and biographical information of the new contestants, listed after the jump.

Last week's winners (once again, no stars yet. I will get to them when we can assign stars again!):

1 star to Alan: "You're much more attractive than the usual bus station skanks Uncle Charlie usually brings home."
2 stars to Aaron M: "I want two of those...and some cookies too."
3 stars to Brent McKee: "Jake was sure to get everything on his Christmas list afer arranging HIS treat for Santa. If only he could keep her away from Charlie."
