"My head smells like 'The Simpsons' season 13." Everybody's favorite "special" Springfieldian Ralph Wiggum didn't say this, but he just might were he to see the special edition of the latest season in the shape of his head. 'The Simpsons: The Thirteenth Season' will be available for mass consumption on August 24th on both DVD and Blu-Ray.Hardcore fans will have the opportunity to score the set a full month earlier at San Diego Comic-Con July 22-25. Fans who purchase these early copies of the season set will also receive a collectible limited edition lithograph as a free gift.
The set will feature all 22 episodes from the thirteenth season, including audio commentary on each of them from executive producers, directors, cast and even special guest stars like Stan Lee, Joe Mantegna, Delroy Lindo and others.
Jonas Brothers purify South Park, and a Season twelve DVD preview - VIDEO
by Nick Zaino, posted Mar 9th 2009 7:05PM
South Park hasn't been too kind to musicians over their twelve seasons on Comedy Central. You may remember the origins of Bono were less than flattering (seem the U2 singer and Mr. Hanky have something in common). Last season, Britney Spears wound up horribly disfigured. And Richard Stamos (brother of John) never hit that high "F." When the thirteenth season kicks off Wednesday (March 11, 10 PM), musicians will apparently have their revenge. Kenny takes his girlfriend to a Jonas Brothers concert in an effort to get lucky, but has his plans foiled when the band gives them "purity" rings. Can't wait to see what Matt and Trey have in store for the ubiquitous heart pre-teen heart throbs - I'm hoping it will warm the hearts of any parent you had to take their kids to that 3-D movie.
Sanchez and Johnson join Mad TV - VIDEOS
by Adam Finley, posted Jul 2nd 2007 3:23PM
Mad TV has added comedians Johnny Sanchez and Anjelah Nicole Johnson to the cast for the thirteenth season, though Johnson has only been cast for four episodes.
Sanchez voiced a character in the movie Happy Feet and has appeared on Comedy Central. I've placed a segment from his Comedy Central Presents below. Johnson is also a stand-up comedian. I've placed one of her bits below, too.
Apparently, Mad TV is still doing well, even though I don't know anyone who watches it. That's not a slam against the show, it's just not my cup of tea, but when my friends and I are discussing TV comedy, Mad TV never gets mentioned. Who are these mysterious people keeping this show on the air?
