'Hell on Wheels' / 'Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness' / 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter'
November is a time for giving thanks, so we'd like to say thanks and goodbye to 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'South Park' and 'Bored to Death' for another great season each. 'The Walking Dead' is packing it up as well, but that's just a mid-season break.

But while some shows go away for awhile, plenty are coming back, including 'Covert Affairs,' 'Burn Notice,' 'Primeval,' 'Leverage,' 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' and 'Hot in Cleveland.' Plus, while it's lighter than other months, November has some prominent premieres, among them AMC's 'Hell on Wheels, Nickelodeon's 'Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness' and Fox's latest comedy entry, 'I Hate My Teenage Daughter.'

With so much great television premiering and finding success in September, the networks had to bump some of their premieres to this month, which means more great new programming all month long. And as it's October, that means the return of 'The Walking Dead' on AMC, while FX tries to capture the same spirit with the debut of 'American Horror Story.'

'Doctor Who' / Andy Samberg,

We may be a month or so away from the big fall premieres in September, but that doesn't mean there isn't plenty to keep us busy on our TV screens until then. Sure we say goodbye to 'The Bachelorette,' but who doesn't love its sleazier cousin, 'Bachelor Pad'? And, of course, 'Jersey Shore' returns to show us how the kids fared in Italy. Surely they were embraced with open arms, right?

A lot of summer scripted series bid us farewell as well, including 'Falling Skies, 'Franklin & Bash,' 'Single Ladies,' 'White Collar,' 'Covert Affairs,' 'In Plain Sight,' 'Memphis Beat,' 'The Nine Lives of Chloe King,' 'HawthoRNe,' 'Flashpoint,' 'Leverage,' and 'Royal Pains.' It's not all goodbyes, though.

In terms of premieres, June is becoming just like September and January on the television landscape.

'So You Think You Can Dance' / 'The Looney Tunes Show' / 'America's Got Talent'

It's May again, and while that mostly means finales for most of our network fall and spring favorites, there's plenty to get excited about in the month as well. Saying goodbye to the regular season means saying hello to summer favorites like 'So You Think You Can Dance' on FOX and 'America's Got Talent' on NBC. ABC offers up a new healthy addition to a popular franchise with 'Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition,' along with a new season of 'The Bachelorette.'

If reality isn't your thing, USA kicks off new seasons of 'In Plain Sight' and 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' (because a season without 'L&O' is unthinkable!). CBS also premieres the new season of summer favorite 'Flashpoint.'

February sweeps may be over, but that doesn't mean it's all reruns on television. March is a month of transitions as several shows say goodbye, and just as many say hello.

Some goodbyes are permanent like the final episodes of 'Greek,' 'Supernanny' and 'Big Love.' Others face more uncertain futures like 'V,' 'Detroit 1-8-7,' 'The Defenders' and 'Skins.'

'In Treatment' / 'The Walking Dead' / 'Friday Night Lights'
It's October, and that means Halloween and scary television. This year, there's a new 'Shrek' Halloween special for the kids, while the adults have even more to look forward to. Leading up to the Halloween night premiere of the hotly anticipated AMC series 'The Walking Dead' is a zombie import from the UK. The five-part series 'Dead Set,' about a zombie apocalypse during the filming of 'Big Brother,' will air the five nights leading up to October 31.

October's more than just spooky programming. As we say goodbye to AMC's quality dramas 'Mad Men' and 'Rubicon,' we can be consoled in knowing that HBO's excellent 'In Treatment' is back for another season. Those with DirecTV can start enjoying the final season of 'Friday Night Lights,' while on the broadcast networks 'American Dad,' 'CSI: Miami' and 'America's Funniest Home Videos' finally kick off their seasons.
