Casey James Performs 'Heaven' on 'American Idol' (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted Feb 24th 2010 10:21PM
'American Idol' contestant Casey James, who's perhaps best known for removing his shirt at Kara DioGuardi's request during his first audition, performed an simple, genuine version of 'Heaven' by Bryan Adams on acoustic guitar that drew universal praise from the judges and an inappropriate amount of cougar lust from DioGuardi.

"Seriously now, jokes aside. You are eye candy, but you're also ear candy," DioGuardi said. "Your looks may be what we first looked at, but you can play and you can sing, and you've got heart and soul."

Crystal Bowersox Performs 'Hand in My Pocket' on 'American Idol' (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted Feb 23rd 2010 11:57PM
We couldn't agree with the judges of 'American Idol' more; there's something about contestant Crystal Bowersox that just screams originality. Bowersox gave an earthy performance of Alanis Morissette's 'Hand in My Pocket' while playing guitar and harmonica simultaneously.

"I love your originality as an artist ... I just love the honesty. I'm not even sure this was the right song for you, but this is one of the times for me it doesn't matter what the song is. I like you. I just like what you do," Randy Jackson said.

'Dancing With the Stars' Season 9 Best and Worst Performances

by AOL TV Staff, posted Nov 23rd 2009 4:40PM
Best and Worst of Dancing With the StarsBy Tom Conroy

Though maybe not the show's best go-round, season 9 of 'Dancing With the Stars' has provided its share of moments, some of which we'd just as soon forget: Debi Mazar's grouchiness; Macy Gray's bleeped comment about, er, losing her dance virginity; Aaron Carter's weepy surrogate father-son relationship with Len Goodman; Donny Osmond and Bruno Tonioli's smoochy journey to the dark side; and the weekly brain freeze when we tried to figure out again who exactly Mark Dacascos is.

But 'DWTS' is really all about the dancing. Right? We've compiled our list of the five best and worst performances of this season. Feel free to take issue in the comments or add your own favorites.

Buffy season nine, by Joss Whedon

by Brad Trechak, posted Sep 25th 2009 3:09PM
Buffy"But wait," you say. "There was a season eight?" Yes, there was. It was in comic book form. And season eight will be in the same format. This is according to Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon.

If you haven't been reading the comics, shame on you. Without the restrictions of a television budget, some crazy cool things have been happening. Like Dawn growing to enormous size and Buffy teaming up with Dracula to take out a band of rogue Asian vampires. Also, Buffy travels to the future to meet Slayer-from-the-future Malaka Fray (who was in a previous comic series of her own).

Whedon is obviously a fan of comics. The good news is, in comic books, the series never has to end. We could all be enjoying Buffy season 337 in a few centuries. Well, our descendants would be anyway. It's something to look forward to.
