CBS separates from Viacom

CBS has been showing ads the last couple of days that
are touting a new era for the company and calling it the "CBS Coprporation." What's that you say? Wasn't
there already a "CBS Corporation?" Yes and no. Before CBS was bought by Westinghouse, and then later absorbed
into Viacom, it was known as CBS Inc. This edition, which includes the television network, the owned & operated
affiliates, and the Infinity radio network (which will go back to the name "CBS Radio"), officially broke off from Viacom today, and will be
traded separately on the New York Stock Exchange. Viacom will still own the cable networks that it brought with them
when they bought CBS a few years ago (MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, etc.) Les Moonves will be the CEO of the new CBS Corp.TV Squad Hot Topics
