Army Wives: Safe Havens
by Allison Waldman, posted Sep 15th 2008 7:25AM
(S02E13) There was a lot of action is this penultimate episode of Army Wives. After the ripples created by all these stones in the water, I expect that next week's season finale will be a humdinger, although I don't think the finale can equal the punch of last year's suicide bomber at the Hump Bar. It's clear that the writers like to keep us on our toes, surprising us, and I don't mind the unexpected. But the twist in tonight's show really came out of left field. I'll be frank; it was bad. I won't talk about it further until after the jump, but suffice to say I felt very manipulated, and not in a good way.
The Trevor/Roxy drug story has been building and it's definitely coming to a realistic boil. I feel for Roxy. She's doing her best to keep it together and Trevor has been like another person since returning from Iraq, guilt ridden and injured.
Chris Kattan separates after two months of marriage
by Brad Trechak, posted Aug 23rd 2008 9:34PM
In a perfect example of "you never know", Chris Kattan has separated from his wife, model Sunshine Tutt, after two months of marriage. I would have called it "nuptial bliss," but I don't think that qualifies here. This was a quickie, even by Hollywood standards (although they were dating since 2005. I guess the actual wedding was a catalyst for a reexamination of the relationship). They must have foreseen problems since a prenuptial agreement was signed. Thank goodness there are no children to worry about. Children always make a separation more messy.
This whole announcement came three days after Kattan's rep announced the split, but stated that no divorce was in the works. How quickly things change.
After a two-month wedding, you have to wonder if any romantic feelings were involved at all, or if someone just wanted a career boost. There can be such superficiality and phoniness in Hollywood. It couldn't have been a real marriage like Christopher Knight.
The Office: Gay Witch Hunt (season premiere)

(S03E01) OK, I know I sound like a broken record, but The Office is hands down the best sitcom on television. If this season's first episode is not considered an instant classic, then there's something really wrong going on here.
Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown split
by Anna Johns, posted Sep 14th 2006 12:42PM
Shocker! Whitney Houston, who provided the world with wonderful catchphrases such as "Hell to the no!" and "Crack is wack", has filed for legal separation from Bobby Brown. The couple, whose tumultuous marriage was showcased on Bravo's Being Bobby Brown, has been married for 14 years. If you've ever seen their show, you probably question the validity of the separation because Whitney tends to whine and pout and go off the deep end when she's mad at Bobby or doesn't get her way. So, a legal separation might just be a tactic... or the first step towards divorce. The court papers show Whitney and the couple's 13-year old daughter, Bobbi Kristina, moved out of their Georgia home and to Laguna Hills, CA.I can't imagine what happened to spur Whitney to move across the country and file for separation. Their marriage survived drug addiction, Bobby's arrests, and a domestic abuse trial. Maybe he forgot to put the toilet seat down.
Hilary Swank, Chad Lowe separate
by Anna Johns, posted Jan 10th 2006 1:32PM
Another Hollywood split-up. This time it's Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe. The two have been married for eight years, but
it's not final. While they're splitting up, they aren't getting divorced. The official statement says, "Hilary and
Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they'll be able to get through this tough time." The two
reportedly split sometime last year. While we all know Hilary from her Oscar wins for Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby, Chad has been an actor in tv land for a long time. Who can forget him as Jesse on Life Goes On? And, more recently, his turn as John Denver in the made-for-tv movie in 2000. Let's hope these kids work things out.
