Serena Williams Talks About Meeting Prince William: 'He's Cute' (VIDEO)
Princess Serena? Serena Williams had the opportunity to meet England's Prince William when he made a surprise visit to the Australian Open in Melbourne, and the tennis royalty talked about her encounter with real royalty on 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated).
Williams was a bit embarrassed about meeting the prince: "When you meet the prince, you have to wear a dress or be fashionable," she told Hunt. "I just got off the court and was sweaty." So she threw on a Nike top as her "formal sports attire." Still, the prince was gracious. "He was so cute," Williams said. "So cool and down-to-earth. I wish I could be a princess."

Serena Williams Hits Tennis Balls, Breaks Plates on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
There has to be something so satisfying about lobbing tennis balls at plates and shattering them into tiny pieces. But Ellen has a point. It's hard to visualize how much power is behind the swings of pro tennis players, especially someone as big, bad and beautiful as Serena Williams. That's why on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' Ellen put a tennis racquet in Serena's hand and had her hit tennis balls at the aforementioned plates, decked out with what appeared to be photos of Ellen and Serena.
Here's the funny part: On Serena's first swing, she missed the board entirely. And dang! Ellen has a really nice tennis arm!

Serena Williams Gives Jon Stewart Dirty Dancing Lessons on 'The Daily Show' (VIDEO)
It seems tennis pro Serena Williams' footwork on the court is rivaled only by her moves on the dance floor, but it's not something parents would want their children to watch. On 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,' Williams gave Stewart a lesson in the kind of shoulder-wriggling dance moves she's looking for in a man, also mentioning a joke dance-off on ESPN that she lost to sister Venus because her provocative moves were far from "kid-friendly."

Don't forget! Wimbledon starts today!
There are exactly two things I like about summer: tennis and baseball. The rest of it can go to hell (and considering the temps it usually feels that way). Not just playing tennis, but watching it too. ESPN2 begins their daily coverage of Wimbledon this morning at 8am. The network will have 9 hours of coverage today and most days for the next two weeks (except the weekends, when NBC will have coverage during the day). You can follow the action at espn.com or the official Wimbledon site. They're using that Hawkeye system for the first time this year.
And no, that doesn't mean Alan Alda will be making line calls.
Serena Williams to guest star on Loonatics Unleashed
Do you love professional tennis and completely unnecessary re-imaginings of classic cartoon characters and wish you could see a television series that combines them both? Well, you can't. At least not really. The closest you're going to get is the February 17 episode of Loonatics Unleashed that will feature tennis star Serena Williams as the voice of Queen Athena, leader of the Apacazons, a race of powerful women who confront the Loonatics while they're on vacation on a tropical island.
Williams also voiced herself along with her sister Venus on the Simpsons episode "Tennis the Menace." She has also appeared on ER, Law and Order: SVU, The Bernie Mac Show, My Wife and Kids and The Division. The Loonatics Unleashed episode will air February 17 at 8:00 a.m. on the CW.
