ABC Family Getting Into the Spy Business?

ABC FamilyABC Family is developing a new show called 'Shadows' that would center on a secret Harvard program to develop young spies, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show would feature the faculty and students -- a kind of Hogwarts for espionage.

'Shadows' was created by director Jesse Peyronel, whom the Reporter says will also serve as an executive producer. Peyronel sold the show 'Illuminati' to ABC last year, and wrote, directed and produced the short film 'Swimming Out to Holly,' which premiered at the Sundance Festival in 2001. He also optioned the Chuck Palahniuk novel 'Invisible Monsters' in 2002. The movie was not made.

The X-Files: Shadows

(S01E06)  According to The X-Files wiki, this episode was penned with the direction of FOX, which wanted an episode about poltergeists. Luckily, two of the writers for the show (Glen Morgan and James Wong) were fans of the paranormal and we got a very X-Files-style ghost story.
