Melissa Gilbert Remembers Her Sister Sara's Coming Out Process on 'The Talk' (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 6th 2011 6:30PM
Sara Gilbert welcomed her sister, former 'Little House on the Prairie' star Melissa Gilbert, to 'The Talk' on Tuesday. It was a sweet reunion and everything was going well until Sharon Osbourne took control of the conversation and steered it toward Sara's sexuality.

"When did you first realize that your beautiful sister loved vajayjay?" she asked. Sara slumped back in her chair and covered her face in embarrassment as Melissa told a few stories about Sara's coming out process. When they were teenagers, Melissa suspected Sara was gay, and took her sister out to dinner to remind her that she could tell her anything. But Sara wasn't ready yet, and told her big sister she wasn't gay.

Sharon Osbourne Refuses Jiffy's Apology on 'After Lately' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 5th 2011 4:00AM
'After Lately,' Sharon Osbourne'After Lately' (Sun., 11PM ET on E!) is one of the craziest ideas for a television show, but thanks to the wacky crew, Chelsea Handler and her celebrity friends and guests, this behind-the-scenes spoof of 'Chelsea Lately' always manages to tickle our funny bone.

This week, after a terrible email made its way to Sharon Osbourne, Jiffy found himself to blame for it and having to go and apologize to her. After a sincere apology, Osbourne said, "I will accept nothing from you."

At this, Jiffy snapped, laying into Osbourne as a way of venting his frustration for how he's mistreated on a daily basis. He closed with, "if it's not good enough for you, then f*** you, Sharon Osbourne." After this tirade, she accepted the apology.

Ozzy Osbourne stopped by his wife Sharon's daytime show 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to chat about their son Jack's recent engagement. Jack is engaged to Lisa Stelly, an aspiring actress who is pregnant with the couple's first child.

"You're gonna be a grand-dad," Julie Chen beamed. Ozzy clarified that he already was, although he couldn't quite remember how many children he had in his first marriage. He said six before Sharon reminded him it was only five. Regardless, "there's a bunch of them," he said.

Duff Goldman Bakes Halloween Cake to Look Like Ozzy Osbourne's Zombie Head (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 14th 2011 5:00PM
With Halloween around the corner, former 'Ace of Cakes' and current 'Sugar High' star Duff Goldman stopped by 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to bake some spooky goodies. Working with Sharon Osbourne and guest-host Wayne Brady, Goldman demonstrated how to ice cupcakes to look like ghosts and brains.

For his cake-de-gras, Goldman unveiled a creation he'd baked to look like Ozzy Osbourne's severed zombie head. While Sharon was wowed, we were somewhat disappointed Ozzy's cake likeness wasn't munching on a bat.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. Wins!

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 15th 2011 7:00AM
Landau Eugene Murphy Jr.Cliché as it sounds, there were only winners on last night's 'America's Got Talent' Season 6 finale.

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., as judge Howie Mandel accurately predicted on Tuesday's performance show, won the competition and the show's $1 million prize. "I am the great predictor," Mandel quips.

Dance group Silhouettes came in second. Dance group Team iLuminate was third. Rock band POPLYFE came in fourth, but you'd never know it by the jubilation they were feeling after the show. The band members were still ecstatic over getting to perform with the legendary Stevie Wonder, an experience they'll take with them forever.

"I'll take it with me as well," Wonder told AOL TV on the post show press line. "They are a group that is committed to staying together and not letting anyone break them apart. I feel that's how we should be as a nation. I'm excited that they allowed me to be a part of their group."

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Is Piers Morgan Really a Big Softie?

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 14th 2011 7:00AM
Piers MorganThere were technical difficulties during the performance finale of 'America's Got Talent.' Some backstage doors wouldn't open, which prevented stage hands from removing PopLyfe's set and setting the stage for the Silhouettes.

Producers filled the air time with a pre-taped video segment featuring past auditions while things were corrected. By the time they were, the video segment showing insight into the Silhouettes had to be cut for time.

Those video segments usually feature touching stories about the acts, endearing them to viewers (and voters) in the process.

Will the Silhouettes lose votes and suffer because their segment wasn't shown?

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: What the Four Finalists Need to Do in Order to Win

by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 8th 2011 7:00AM
Il Divo on 'AGT'The four acts competing for the $1 million prize in next week's 'America's Got Talent' finals are: Singer Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr., music band POPLYFE, and dance groups Silhouette and Team iLuminate.

A few weeks ago people were betting that singer Anna Graceman and dance team Miami All-Stars would have been shoo-ins for the finals, but poor choices they made on Tuesday's performance show led to either a strike or negative comments from the judges, which likely affected votes.

"The Miami All-Stars were still All-Stars, but they lost the 'Miami,'" offers judge Howie Mandel, referring to the group performing more like they were football cheerleaders in their last routine.

Mandel's fellow judge and nemesis Piers Morgan feels that America got it right in selecting the four finalists that they did. "These are the best four we've had," Morgan says. "I'm really pleased."

What should each act do to win next week? Give more of what they've already shown, or step outside the box and do things that they've never done before?

Nick Cannon Recalls the Wild Prank Sharon Osbourne Pulled on Piers Morgan (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Sep 7th 2011 6:45PM
Nick Cannon on 'The Talk'Those who missed Sharon Osbourne's risque antics while 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), was on hiatus were treated to quite the return when Nick Cannon stopped by the show Wednesday. Cannon and Osbourne are host and judge, respectively, on 'America's Got Talent,' and Cannon reported that Osbourne is just as wild behind-the-scenes of that show as she is on 'The Talk.'

Cannon recalled Osbourne's trademark excited voice and her propensity for practical jokes. "She is hilarious," he said. "I love when she just blurts out stuff with that high-pitched register. That's amazing. But, when we're just hanging out, like when we're traveling and stuff together, she is the jokester."

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 6th 2011 4:25PM
'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) returned from its summer hiatus Tuesday, and Jennifer Love Hewitt was one of its first guests. Hewitt previewed her latest project, 'The Client List,' which Lifetime is expanding from a TV movie into a series. Hewitt also starred in the movie version as Sam Horton, a Texas woman who falls on hard times and has to take a job at a massage parlor that doubles as a brothel.

The series will be different from the movie version in two central ways, Hewitt shared. Firstly, her character will now have red hair, news which pleased co-host Sharon Osbourne. Sam will also be taking on more of a business role in the prostitution operation to support her family.

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: Should Piers Morgan's Buzzer Be Silenced?

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 31st 2011 7:00AM
GymkanaTake it from someone who's sat in the audience at 'America's Got Talent' -- the judges' buzzers sound even louder in person. So when trigger-happy judge Piers Morgan hits that red "X" button performers can understandably become rattled.

Therefore, Morgan striking acrobatic act Gymkana may have caused the performers' concentration to fail, which could have have contributed to one of the team's members catching fire when he jumped through a ring of flames.

Host Nick Cannon informed viewers at home (after a commercial break) that the Gymkana acrobat was okay thanks to his flame-retardant outfit.

Morgan quipped that by striking the act he was trying to end it early, thus potentially saving lives. But fellow judges Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne, as well as Cannon, say they wouldn't mind Morgan's buzzer being disconnected.

'America's Got Talent' Shocker! West Springfield Dance Team Advances to Finals Over Daniel Joseph Baker

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 25th 2011 10:50AM
Daniel Joseph BakerWe'll never know if Sharon Osbourne would have voted for West Springfield Dance Team, a team she championed, or singer Daniel Joseph Baker, a young man she supported, on 'America's Got Talent's' results show.

When it came down to the judges voting on which act would advance, Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan voted for the dance team, making Osbourne's decision moot.

With superior dance troupe Miami All-Stars advancing it seemed like West Springfield might not make it.

Why did the judges vote the way they did?

"West Springfield Dance Team has hit a nerve with the trend of what young people are watching," Mandel says. "They also have had no time to put together [a new routine.] All the other [dance] team had three weeks. That's huge. I think it's easier to choose and perform a song than it is to choreograph and create a look."

'America's Got Talent' Backstage Report: J Chris Newberg on His Piers Morgan Roast

by Michael Maloney, posted Aug 18th 2011 12:00PM
J Chris Newberg
Singer/musician J Chris Newberg, who brilliantly roasted 'America's Got Talent' judge Piers Morgan on Tuesday's Wild Card show, was reminded of an old show biz adage when he failed to advance to the semi-finals in last night's results program.

"Dying is easy, comedy is hard."

Newberg's act seemed like a shoe-in to continue on in the competition since Morgan's been giving Simon Cowell a run for his money as the reality competition series judge you love to hate the most.

Morgan gave a strike to four different acts on Tuesday's show (including one, not surprisingly, to Newberg) while fellow judges Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel refrained from giving any.

While Morgan himself couldn't help but laugh at a few of the digs, is it possible that Newberg went too far in his opening remark?

'The Talk' Loses Hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete

by Maggie Furlong, posted Aug 15th 2011 8:40PM
Leah Remini & Holly Robinson PeetePeople are certainly talking about 'The Talk,' but it's not necessarily a good thing.

A few weeks back, rumors swirled that Sharon Osbourne would be leaving 'The Talk.' While Osbourne herself told us she was just taking a little break to spend time with her husband Ozzy, it looks like the same can't be said for two of her co-hosts.

Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete are reportedly not returning to CBS' daytime chat show for its second season.

According to Deadline and sources close to production, the talk show will be undergoing several changes next year. Contract options were renewed for series creator and co-host Sara Gilbert and her fellow 'Talk'-ers Julie Chen (who's married to CBS boss man Les Moonves) and Sharon Osbourne.

The options for Remini and Peete were not picked up, though there's no word yet on whether they'll remain with the show in a more limited capacity.
