Comic-Con Q&A: The 'Big Bang Theory' Cast Teases Season 5 Love Triangles (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Jul 23rd 2011 10:40AM
Jim Parsons, 'The Big Bang Theory'The cast of CBS' hit comedy 'The Big Bang Theory' sure knows how to make an entrance at Comic-Con. The men and women behind TV's number one sitcom were greeted like rockstars in a filled-to-capacity Ballroom 20, and AOL TV caught up with them right after for all the scoop on Season 5 (premieres Thurs., Sept. 22, 8PM ET on CBS).

Okay, technically they haven't started shooting yet, so the spoilers were sparse, but we did unearth some hints about the ongoing Priya/Leonard/Penny love triangle from Johnny Galecki, and asked the stars to weigh in on how Penny and Raj's hook-up might affect the dynamic of the group.

Simon Helberg also shared his predictions for Howard and Bernadette's future following their engagement, while Jim Parsons gave us a very Sheldon-esque opinion on whose side his character might take once Leonard finds out about Raj's betrayal. Dun, dun, dun!

Craig Ferguson Tries to Pass Sheldon's Friend Test on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 23rd 2010 6:54AM
'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Craig Ferguson often has skits with his guests before he brings them out to chat on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on CBS), but rarely are they as ambitious as the one that preceded his episode featuring the cast of 'The Big Bang Theory.' Ferguson was on the set of the hit comedy in a scene that felt like it came from an actual episode.

In it, he was looking to join the quartet of misfits as a fifth friend, but before he could do that he'd have to pass Sheldon's (Emmy-winner Jim Parsons) rigorous test. Before they could even get that far, though, Sheldon took issue with the name of Ferguson's show. "What time is it on?" he asked.

When told it was at 12:30AM, Sheldon posed the question, "Given that AM stands for Ante Meridiem, wouldn't it more logically be called 'The Early Early Show with Craig Ferguson'?"

'Big Bang Theory' Set Visit: Are Leonard and Penny Headed for a Big Break-Up?

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 24th 2010 3:00PM

From Ross and Rachel to Booth and Brennan, "will they/won't they" couples have become a staple part of our TV diet, with shows often dangling the carrot of love above viewers' heads right up until the very last episode. But CBS' geektastic comedy 'The Big Bang Theory' is way too smart (literally) for that, deciding to forgo the frustration and get right down to the romance after finally hooking up nerdy Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and vivacious Penny (Kaley Cuoco) at the start of season three.

But the course of true love never did run smooth. AOL TV recently stopped by the 'Big Bang Theory' set to get the inside scoop from all five 'Big Bang' cast members, and we think fans will be surprised by what they had to say. Check out our spoilertastic interview after the jump.

'Dr. Horrible' Sequel: 'Big Bang Theory' Star Simon Helberg Talks Rumors

by Laura Prudom, posted Mar 22nd 2010 4:30PM
During a recent visit to the set of CBS' hit comedy 'The Big Bang Theory,' Simon Helberg, the man who wears Howard Wolowitz's tight pants, gave us an update on the status of the rumored sequel to Joss Whedon's cult web series, 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.'

'Horrible' fans may have recognized Helberg as the villainous (and slightly damp) Moist, henchman to Neil Patrick Harris' Dr. Horrible in the original series, and as far as Helberg knows, he's in line to reappear for the sequel.

Review: 'The Big Bang Theory' - 'The Large Hadron Collision'

by Joel Keller, posted Feb 9th 2010 12:23PM
'The Big Bang Theory' - 'The Hadron Collision'(S03E15) I'm pinch-hitting for Kona this week due to technical difficulties at the Gallagher homestead. Not sure if I can be the quote machine she is, but you can always add your favorite quotes from the episode into the comments.

You know, I've never been one to take Sheldon's side a lot of the time. As much as I love the character and how Jim Parsons plays him, the fact that a guy who's such a pill can have four people in his life who like him and tolerate his weird, Aspberger-like selfishness should be enough for me to connect to as a viewer. Most of the time, when Sheldon is wreaking havoc over his friends' lives, I'm usually feeling bad for whoever it is -- usually Leonard -- that's getting the brunt of Sheldon's utter Sheldonness.

But this week, I was on Team Sheldon. Why? Because Leonard knows Sheldon would appreciate a trip to the CERN super collider a whole lot more than Penny would, even if the lure of Penny in a snow bunny outfit is a strong one to resist.
