Big plans, big stars set for NBC's Thanksgiving Day Parade
by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 5th 2009 1:07PM
Well, we know that the singers from Glee were not welcomed into the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade thanks to NBC's territorial attitude. Still, that doesn't mean we won't be watching on Turkey Day. NBC, in fact, will feature one of their own prominently that morning -- 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski will be singing an original song on a float. It will not be a typical Jenna floppola, either. It's a song being written by the Emmy nominated team of Wesley Whatley and William Schermerhorn. And in case you don't know, Jane's a Tony-winning star who is not only hilarious as Jenna, but a really fine singer/dancer/actress.
That's not all. Alan Cumming is also set to perform in the parade, and it sounds like a doozy, too. He'll sing the Sinatra classic, "That's Life" on the M&M float. What the song, Cumming and Sinatra have to do with M&M candies is anyone's guess.
Bruce Campbell injured on Burn Notice set
by Allison Waldman, posted Jun 27th 2008 5:43PM
In case you didn't know it, Bruce Campbell is my new BFF. Ever since my visit to the set, I have a new appreciation for the man. So, it pains me to report that Bruce recently was filming in Miami when he came up lame. While chatting with Maureen Ryan of the Chicago Tribune, creator Matt Nix was talking about the new season of Burn Notice -- more on that below -- when he casually mentioned Bruce Campbell was hurt on the set. "He actually just pulled his hamstring doing a stunt, I just got a call, he's on the way to the hospital."

Kitty Kelley to write Oprah bio
by Julia Ward, posted Dec 14th 2006 9:31AM
Kitty's got claws, and she likes to scratch. The first lady of unauthorized biography is back. Kitty Kelley has a new book in the works, and her target this time out is none other than Oprah Winfrey. For those of you unfamiliar with Kelley, her methods are best described as tabloid. She's published unflattering biographies on the Bush family, the British royals, Nancy Reagan and Frank Sinatra. She unearthed the coke-snorting habits of George W., Jackie O's battle with depression and Nancy Reagan's supposed affair with Sinatra.
