snoop dog
TV Squad Daily with Brigitte - VIDEO
Today, on TV Squad Daily:
- Snoop Dog, the reality show, is coming later this year.
- We've created a Springer generation... Jerry Springer celebrates 17 years on the air and gets his contract renewed for even more.
- Isaiah Washington's career seems to be doing just fine since being fired from Grey's Anatomy.
Snoop Dog's reality series hits E! later this year
So, last year I mentioned that Snoop Dogg got into a bit of trouble for allowing both a feature film and a reality series to be made about his youth football league.
It would seem whatever problems hindered the possibility of a Snoop reality series have been taken care of, because later this year Snoopy Snoop will be the center of a new series for E! that will follow the rapper, actor and producer as he tries to balance his family life and his work.
Production stopped on Snoop Dogg reality series
20th Century Fox is developing a feature called Coach Snoop about Snoop Dogg's Snoop Youth Football Team Foundation. The problem is, Snoop had also signed a deal with Natural Resources Media & Technology Group to develop a reality series about his youth football league. Since 20th Century owned the exclusive rights to any production involving the football league, the reality series was forced to shut down production. Now Natural Resources Media & Technology Group has filed a lawsuit against the foundation for breach of contract.
If trying to process all of that information almost made your head explode, join the club. It kind of makes me wonder exactly what Snoop was thinking, since at some point this information was going to surface.
Bo Bice is still a cool cat
I
just finished reading a short interview with Bo Bice on the Pop
Candy section of the USA Today website, and it reminded me why I like that guy so much. He's just so real, isn't
he? Unlike any of the other American Idol contestants, he seems more like an artist than a singer. If he drank
White Russians, he would totally be "The Dude" from The Big Lebowski. He still remains totally cool,
even though he's had a huge year, including a runner-up slot on American Idol, an album, a concert tour, a
wedding, a baby, and major surgery. That's like a lifetime wrapped into one little year! The interview was done just before he was rushed to the hospital recently for complications from intestinal surgery, so it's a little bit out-of-date. In it, Bo tells Whitney Matheson (Pop Candy) that he's feeling fine, but is exhausted and hasn't had time to heal properly from the surgery. He also says that he's had a lot of star struck moments this year when he met people like Snoop Dogg, or band members from Audioslave and Nickelback. Bo still has a good head on his shoulders, saying that his latest album isn't going to make or break his career. He says he wants to create a respectable legacy, both in music and in his family. I just adore that man!
