Three Takeaways From the Entertaining, Depressing 'Celebrity Rehab' Premiere
by Alex Moaba, posted Jun 27th 2011 5:45PM
'Celebrity Rehab' is back, with a mostly new set of drug-addicted formerly famous people seeking treatment from Dr. Drew and his team of specialists at the Pasadena Recovery Center. On Friday we talked to a shrink who told us he had serious concerns that the show was exploitative and gave a false impression of what actually happens in real drug rehab.
Today we are much less concerned with that theoretical nonsense and want to discuss all the crazy, terrible and embarrassing things we saw on last night's show. Let's get to it, then.

Tom Sizemore Gets Into a Rage on 'Sober House' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 2nd 2010 4:00AM
Temper, temper! A Tom Sizemore rage is nothing new. But with Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr? What did he do? On last night's 'Sober House' (Thu., 10PM ET on VH1), the volatile actor went ballistic at the dinner table, seemingly over a comment about 'House' mate Heidi Fleiss."I'm gonna beat your [bleep] ass, man. Heidi Fleiss, you think you know her?" says Tom to Mike. As he gets louder, the "bleeps" come fast and furious. "Think you're the only dope fiend on earth? I'm tired of you. I'm fighting for my [bleep] life."
"I love you, Tom," Mike says at one point. It doesn't help. Meanwhile, everyone sitting at the dinner table quietly observes the proceedings. Dennis Rodman doesn't even put down his cigar. Classic.

Heidi Fleiss and Tom Sizemore Clash on 'Sober House' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 26th 2010 2:52AM
It's no secret that Tom Sizemore and Heidi Fleiss have had their issues on 'Sober House' (Thu., 10PM ET on VH1). But things came to a boiling point on last night's show, when Sizemore gave Dr. Drew Pinsky an ultimatum."I'm not staying," said Sizemore. "Either she goes or I go ... so I'm gonna go." Some people are just oil and water, and these two are as oily and watery as they come.

Mike Starr Attacks a Cameraman on 'Sober House' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 19th 2010 5:12AM
If you take a job as a cameraman on 'Sober House' (Thu., 10PM ET on VH1), you're treading on dangerous territory. That detox is nasty business, and you're a perfect target for rage and rudeness. Mike Starr took his frustration out on one last night, but that's not the first time it's happened. Kari Ann Peniche did the same thing. Both were kicked out of the house.
We're only two episodes in, people. Let's hope the camera operators have good insurance.

Tom Sizemore Brings a Crack Pipe to 'Sober House' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 12th 2010 6:35AM
Oh, man. It's not good when you show up at 'Sober House' (Thu., 10PM ET on VH1) with a crack pipe in your bag. Tom Sizemore is a good actor, but you have to wonder if he was telling the truth when he feigned ignorance about the pipe. Really? You didn't know it was there?
Fortunately, he tested clean. We'll see how the rest of his stint goes while sharing a house with other famous recovering addicts.
