Cher Discusses Her Former Daughter's Sex Change With Letterman (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Nov 12th 2010 5:05AM
Cher Discusses Her Former Daughter's Sex Change With LettermanCher is a legendary singer, actress and long-time advocate for gay rights. She had one child with former husband Sonny Bono -- daughter Chastity Sun Bono, who was named after Cher's first dramatic film role in the 1969 flop 'Chastity,' where she played a bisexual.

Daughter Chastity came out as a lesbian many years ago, and following a sex-change operation, she changed her name to Chaz Salvatore Bono. Cher fully supports Chaz, who was legally declared a man this past May. But on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), she and David Letterman puzzled through how to refer to her child.

The Brady Bunch was not better than The Odd Couple

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 22nd 2009 10:08AM
The Odd CoupleThis isn't some random thought I suddenly had this morning, it's actually in response to AOL Television's list of the 40 best TV shows of the 1970s. The Odd Couple, one of the great, laugh-out-loud comedies of all-time, comes in at number 21, while The Brady Bunch comes in at number 15. Sometimes shows can't be judged the same (for example, comedy vs. drama or drama vs. animated), but come on, The Brady Bunch so far ahead of The Odd Couple?

I don't think I'm giving anything away by revealing that shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, M*A*S*H, and All in the Family are at the top, but there are a few entries that you and your friends can argue about.

Don't forget! Letterman's 25th anniversary is tonight

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 1st 2007 3:30PM

David LettermanI'm reminding readers for two reasons. One, it's an important milestone for David Letterman. His guests tonight will be Bill Murray (who was on his very first NBC and CBS shows) and basketball player LeBron James. And two, The Late Show With David Letterman has been in repeats this week (and the end of last week), so some people might assume that tonight and tomorrow are repeat episodes too. But they're brand-spanking new.

The NY Daily News lists their Top 10 David Letterman moments, and they include Madonna's expletive-filled appearance, Sonny and Cher getting back together, and Oprah finally coming on the show. And if you're feeling nostalgic for his old NBC show, YouTube has some clips.

The show airs tonight on CBS at 11:35.
