'Biggest Loser' Star Sam Poueu Sends Message to Fans After His Four-Story Fall

Sam PoueuSam Poueu is used to overcoming adversity. The 25-year-old lost 134lbs during season 9 of 'The Biggest Loser,' going on to work as a personal trainer at the show's resort to help others achieve their weight-loss goals.

But on Sept. 3, the reality contestant fell from the roof of a four story apartment building in San Francisco, leaving him in critical condition. He was treated for head trauma, torn ligaments, a punctured lung, a broken leg and a pelvic injury.

After undergoing multiple surgeries, Poueu was transferred to a rehabilitation center in October. On Nov. 19, Poueu tweeted his first message to fans in the wake of the accident, thanking them for their words of support.

Romance on 'The Biggest Loser'Can two people find love on a reality weight-loss show? That's what happens on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC). Contestant Sam loses the least amount of weight, and is kicked off the show, but finds perhaps the greatest prize of all.

After Sam is ejected from the game, the show's cameras go to catch up with him -- and reveal that he is now dating fellow contestant Stephanie. The pair are now living together in Los Angeles. Sam has reached his goal weight, and is no longer trying to shed pounds. The couple seem very happy together. In fact, Sam seems really happy.

Sam has this to say about his new romance: "I come home to my at-home prize every day." Stephanie says this about her boyfriend: "I have a case of the Sams." Aw.

'The Biggest Loser' - 'Week Ten' Recap

Melissa & Lance, 'The Biggest Loser: Couples 3'(S09E10) This week, the contestants got a chance to see what life will be like after their time on the show when they were all sent home for a week. No trainers, no access to the gym, no ranch kitchen. It certainly wasn't going to be a walk in the park. But at least it means we got to see some of our favorite past contestants, as they were there to welcome their loved ones home.

And we got to see Melissa again. Lance's wife has to be one of the most controversial figures of this entire season. Not to let her original stint stand, she was back in über-competitive mode again this week when Alison revealed that there was a marathon of a challenge for the contestants while they were at home.

There've been competitive game players before on 'The Biggest Loser,' and there are some there right now. Michael has proven himself more than willing to strategize to better his position. So why does it come across so poorly when Melissa is doing it?

Stephanie and Patti Anderson, The Biggest Loser 9Most of the episode was spent showcasing how sick this season's cast of contestants was. They took two opportunities to talk to the White team, which includes Michael, the heaviest-ever contestant.

We didn't get to spotlight all of the remaining 11 teams, but we did get to look at a variety of ways in which obesity affects our lives.

At the challenge, teams had to carry 10 beach balls across a balance beam over a pool.
