New Scenes From 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 25th 2010 12:41AM
What a high-class problem Bella Swan has. Choose her best friend, hunky Jacob Black, or her true love, broody Edward Cullen. Those who've read the 'Twilight' books by Stephenie Meyer already know the answer to that question. The rest of us will have to wait until 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' arrives in theaters June 30.We'll get plenty of sneak peeks until then, and one of them aired on 'Entertainment Tonight' (weekdays, syndicated). Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays the deadly vampire Victoria, explain a little about their characters.

A TV series about Twilight's New Moon movie means we have too many channels
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 20th 2009 8:27PM
TV Guide has a couple of weekly recap shows about American Idol when it's on, but even so this seems a bit excessive. I know Twilight is a big hit with the kids, but is it big enough that we need a weekly hour-long show to build up to the premiere of New Moon, the second film in the franchise. "This week we'll interview the cast and crew and show you some sets. Next week we can talk more to the cast and show you another piece of set. Ooh! Ooh! Wanna see an exclusive six second sneak preview of Jacob growing fur and a snout. Enthralling!" Sadly, this will probably work. If nothing else, it will get young girls watching ReelzChannel.
I have no problem with the behind-the-scenes specials we get to spotlight upcoming movies, but an entire series based on one movie seems a bit ridiculous. That said, maybe NBC should look at picking this up in case Leno doesn't work out. Make it a nightly thing. After all, there's more movies coming!
Vampire Diaries snags Steve McQueen's grandson
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 1st 2009 1:10PM
I'm neck-deep in the midst of a vampire obsession. I'm one of the Twi-hards eagerly awaiting the Nov. 20 release of Stephenie Meyer's next vamp-flick, New Moon. I was immediately sucked into HBO's True Blood, and can't wait for its return in May. I recently sped through the short-lived Moonlight and fell in love with Mick St. John. And its taken me all of about a week to get to season three of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (though I don't know if I can take much more of the on again-off again romance of Buffy and Angel - don't tell me how it plays out).
I'm sure I'll be equally enthralled with The CW pilot, Vampire Diaries. It doesn't hurt that Steven R. McQueen, grandson of the legendary Steve McQueen has landed a lead role. I bet even those not as enamored with vamps will tune in just to see him: Does he look like his grandfather? Act like him? Have the same "something"?
HBO releases True Blood poster (time to stock up on strawberry jam)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Jul 22nd 2008 8:03AM
Ewww! This poster is so creepy, it makes me want to hurl! And watch this show! Of course, the fact that Alan Ball is behind it -- the man who helmed one of my favorite shows ever, Six Feet Under -- has nothing to do with it. Nope, it doesn't. Okay, I'm lying. It has everything to do with it. HBO's True Blood, starring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, is set to premiere on Sept. 7 at 9 p.m. Here's the newly released poster for it. Makes you want to dig into a jar of strawberry jam, doesn't it?
Based on Charlaine Harris' Southern Vampire novel series, the show follows the world of vampires set in small-town Louisiana. They're able to co-exist with humans by drinking a Japanese-manufactured synthetic blood. (Well, what fun is that?!)
