Is Mindy Kaling Done Writing for 'The Office'?
by Joel Keller, posted May 12th 2011 2:00PM
On Mindy Kaling's Twitter feed, the actress has been hinting that this is her last season, even if it's jokingly in comparison to the much more ballyhooed departure of Steve Carell. The other day, I spoke to Paul Lieberstein, who most people know as hapless H.R. rep Toby on 'The Office,' but he is also an executive producer and the current showrunner on the series.
During our interview, which mostly revolves around the season that will end with next week's star-studded finale, I asked if Kaling -- who not only plays Kelly Kapoor but also is one of the show's best writer/producers -- is coming back next year.
"She's coming back as an actress, for sure," Lieberstein told me. When I pressed and asked if that means she won't be writing for the show anymore, he said, "It doesn't look that way, but I don't think that's been ... We don't know yet."
Top TV Stories of 2009: The continued rise of online video

When Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Emmys, Dr. Horrible conveniently invaded for a moment, spreading webseries fear throughout the TV industry audience. It was a funny bit, serving mainly as a vehicle for some jokes about buffering and tiny screen sizes. Hopefully that made the TV people feel better, if only for a little while, because online video is showing no signs of stopping.

by Donald Deane, posted Oct 30th 2009 11:25AM
Prepare yourselves for the best use of a wind machine, wedding dress, bejeweled eyepatch and gold spandex in recent history. The first episode of 'The Office's' web-based spin-off 'Subtle Sexuality' is now available. Essentially a thinly-veiled jab at egotistical Ryan, the episode is a music video by Kelly and Erin set to a track called 'Male Prima Donna.' Keep an eye out for an appearance by Ryan as Mr. Understood and the hilarious Andy as 'Nard Dog.
Watch it after the jump.
Straight Outta Da Office: Subtle Sexuality
by Nick Zaino, posted Oct 29th 2009 9:01AM
If The Real Housewives of Atlanta can record an upbeat party tune, why not (the beautiful and mysterious) Kelly Kapoor and (the pretty) Erin Hannon from The Office? They may fictional characters on a sitcom, but they are just as real as the Housewives. And their debut song, "Male Prima Donna," is a lot more fun than tardiness in regards to the party. Kapoor and Hannon are the new singing sensation Subtle Sexuality, and "Male Prima Donna" dropped just after midnight this morning. They already have a Web site, a merchandise page with t-shirts, mugs, and tour posters. es, they list several dates in and around the Scranton, PA area and one in Ithaca. If you happen to be in the Dickson City, PA area tonight, you can catch the tour kickoff at Idle Hour Bowling Karaoke.
