Niecy Nash has found herself a sitcom.

According to Deadline, Nash will star opposite Cedric the Entertainer in the 'Hot in Cleveland' spin-off pilot.

From 'Hot in Cleveland' writer Suzanne Martin, the spin-off follows Cedric the Entertainer's character, Rev. Boyce, and his move to St. Louis. Nash will play Rev. Boyce's wife. Production on the new TV Land pilot is expected to begin this December.

Viewers will remember Nash from her days on 'Reno 911!' and her recent hosting gig on Style's 'Clean House.'

John Corbett is reprising his role as Lauren Graham's ex on 'Parenthood' this season. The former 'Sex and the City' stud will drop into town for several episodes as Seth, the alcoholic father of Sarah's character.

"Just when everything seems to be going well between Sarah and Mark [Jason Ritter], Seth shows up and he's kind of in a darker place than he's been," creator Jason Katims told TVLine. "And so you see Sarah really having to struggle with wanting to help him and be there for him, but also at the same time [be fully present] in this relationship with Mark that's really good and healthy."

Also going on in the Braverman world: Brittany Belt will play Haddie's BFF who disapproves of her relationship with Alex, TVLine reports.

Hilary Duff is going to college!

According to Ausiello Files, the former 'Lizzie McGuire' star will guest on NBC's 'Community.' Duff is set to play the leader of a clique that takes on Jeff and co.

Besides her Disney series, Duff appeared in a handful of 'Gossip Girl' episodes last season, did a guest spot on 'Law & Order: SVU' and popped up in 'George Lopez' and 'Joan of Arcadia.'

Look for Duff to appear on 'Community' in November.

For many years, comic book/sci-fi/horror convention Fan Expo has been playing the part of small potato to the massive beast that is Comic-Con. While the fest is still smaller than its American cousin, Fan Expo has grown leaps and bounds over the last few years. No longer do Canadian nerds have to make do with no-name D-listers.

This year's Fan Expo promises to be the biggest one yet. Not only does the convention boast the largest masquerade costume contest in Canada, where men and women bring their best fashionable interpretations of characters from each of the represented genres to the stage for prizes and bragging rights, but this year, they're bringing some serious celebrity heavyweights, including the father of the Marvel Universe, Stan Lee, and 'A History of Violence' director David Cronenberg. Oh, and did we mention Summer Glau, James Marsters, Ernest Borgnine and a cast reunion from the '60s-era 'Batman' TV series?

With so many stars in the same room, the floor may start to look like a living wax museum. But hob-nobbing with celebrities isn't the only thing Fan Expo has to offer. Read on for our picks for the best things to see and do.

Summer Glau is eyeing a speedy return to television.

According to an exclusive report from the Hollywood Reporter, the former star of 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' is headed to NBC to join the superhero drama 'The Cape.' She'll play a tough blogger out for justice in the series, which stars David Lyons as a former cop who, after getting framed, becomes a superhero to clear his name.

(S02E12) The problem with prequels (and with regards to Dollhouse, I consider everything that happened before "Epitaph One" and "Epitaph Two" a prequel) is that you know how things are going to turn out. This somewhat ruins any sense of surprise one might get from any revelations of the program.

Granted, it was a decent stopping point for the show. All the dangling plot-lines were resolved and if we weren't aware of the two "Epitaph" episodes, we'd all drink our collective Slurpees and let out a sigh of relief knowing that Dollhouse ended on an emotionally satisfying note.

TWO WEEKS until the next episode? Come on, Fox. What's up with that?

(S02E05) This was truly an excellent episode of Dollhouse. The show has improved leaps and bounds, and I can't wait to see the developments Joss has waiting for us next season ... oh. Oh yeah. Forgot about that.

Despite the imminent cancellation, this was an excellent episode with so many twists and turns you'd think it was the SR1 in California. Okay, Daniel Perrin is a Doll (sort of) and his wife is his handler (making her more of a fake than him). The mysterious Bennett in the D.C. Dollhouse has a past with Caroline, Echo's original personality. And it all ends in a cliffhanger making this the perfect night for a two-parter.

When Echo (as Bree) and Perrin had their scenes together, I couldn't help but flash back to several scenes from the Buffy and Angel series which had Wesley together with Faith. Faith tortured Wesley in one of those, I recall. Fortunately, no grudges were held between series.

Did anybody else notice that Kilo was played by Maurissa Tancharoen, who is engaged to Jed Whedon (Joss' brother) and was one of the co-writers of Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog? If you didn't, then you should have. She's also a writer for this series and co-wrote the last episode.

She saved John Connor, but can she boost the ratings for another struggling Fox sci-fi show?

Former Terminator fembot Summer Glau joins Joss Wheodn's Dollhouse on Oct. 30 for a recurring stint as Bennett, a programmer who shares a past with Eliza Dushku's Echo. During last week's episode of Dollhouse, the network hyped Glau's upcoming appearance with a special promo promising, "In three weeks, Sumer Glau joins the cast of Dollhouse!" I could be wrong, but it seemed like Fox was banking on Glau's star power to get more people to watch the show. Sadly, I don't think that's gonna happen.

I love Summer Glau. I was a big fan of TSCC and Firefly, and I'm eagerly anticipating her appearance on Dollhouse. I'm sure Whedon has crafted an interesting character for Glau, and I'm sure she'll be part of a compelling arc that will fold nicely into the Dollhouse mythology. But I doubt she'll be able to attract a ton of new viewers.

(S02E03) It looks like the production schedule had this one slated to be the second episode of the season, rather than the third. It was a little odd how much time was spent in showing Ballard getting used to the complete process in turning a Doll into an Active. I kept thinking, "He was fine with last week's mommy engagement?" Knowing that this was intended to be the first episode after he took on the role as her Handler makes more sense.

It also means FOX is screwing around with Whedon's intended schedule on his show ... again! I can't understand how network executives think narrative flow between episodes means nothing. Do they think that fans are so stupid we can't follow a thread between episodes, nor will we notice when things are out of whack?

This would probably have worked better as a second episode anyway, because it got a little more into the technology behind the Dollhouse, as well as how it can go wrong.

In last week's season premiere of Dollhouse, we learned that the usually empty-headed Echo is becoming self-aware and is now able to access memories from her many personality imprints.

This puts her in a very dangerous place, star Eliza Dushku told reporters during a conference call this week. While a self-aware Echo might be more fun and challenging for an actor to play than a "dumbed down Doll," Dushku reminded us that any sign of Echo's evolution in the Dollhouse might get her sent to "the attic," aka Doll hell.

The vulnerable Echo will be looking for allies this season, Dushku said. She and former FBI agent Paul Ballard (Tamoh Penikett) "may possibly be trying to bring down the Dollhouse from the inside," she teased. During the conference call, Dushku also talked about the unaired first season episode, "Epitaph One," working with Summer Glau, and she teased more origins and back stories for the show's other characters.

When I first started exploring this project, there were a few shows that I knew were going to be important to hit. This is the first of those. Firefly was Joss Whedon's sci-fi western series. The show mustered disappointing ratings in its short eleven-episode run on FOX.

Since then it's gone on to near mythic cult status. There was such an outcry of support from its loyalists, the Browncoats, over its cancellation that the producers made a feature film sequel. That movie, Serenity, answered a lot of questions about the future fate of the cast. Unfortunately, like the television series, it couldn't find quite enough people to show up and tune in to warrant a sequel. Nevertheless, the few morsels of Firefly we did get are enough to prove that this is one of the most innovative and enjoyable series ever to hit the airwaves.

Earlier today, we told you about Summer Glau landing a recurring role on Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. Glau, of course, has worked with Mr. Whedon before on the much loved but short-lived Firefly and its film spinoff, Serenity.

This isn't the first time Whedon has cast actors he's worked with before in a new project; he does it all the time. But like Squad commenter "davem" pointed out, actors who return to the Whedonverese for a second go-round usually end up playing villains.

So does this mean Glau is destined to be the new big bad on Dollhouse?

Fox has confirmed that Summer Glau is heading back to work for Firefly/Serenity creator Joss Whedon with a recurring role on Dollhouse.

Whedon told EW in May that he was writing a part for Glau, but he didn't spill any details about her role on the show's upcoming second season. He said he didn't want her to play a "Doll," because that would be too obvious. Now, after a few early reports hit the web, Fox has offered up some details about Glau's connection to the Dollhouse.

Will she be playing a Dollhouse client? An active? A cyborg? ... OK, she's definitely not playing a cyborg this time. (At least we don't think she is.) Head after the jump for the answer.

I'm not sure how many people watched both Dollhouse and The Sarah Connor Chronicles, though both were on Friday nights at the end, so they probably had a lot of fans in common. If you were a fan of the latter show, this news might ease the pain of knowing that show will not be returning in the fall.
