Stephenie's 'Survivor' Exit Interview

by Audrey Fine, posted Feb 19th 2010 4:00PM
Stephenie LaGrossa on SurvivorEvil prevailed once again on last night's episode of 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' as the meanies spanked the good guys in the second consecutive immunity challenge. Back at the Heroes' camp, tempers flared, bitchy barbs were bandied and, ultimately, fan fave Stephenie LaGrossa – who was going for the million for the third time – had her torch snuffed.

And, to say that "hero" James was peeved by his tribe's lack of cohesion would be like comparing his mind-boggling physique to that of Urkel.

by Audrey Fine, posted Feb 12th 2010 4:00PM
Sugar on SurvivorThe 20th season of 'Survivor' is underway -- this time with a twist. We've heard the spiel; 20 of our favorite players -- 10 beloved heroes vs. 10 notorious villains -- each vying to win a million bucks (some of them for the second or third time).

Last night saw evil trounce good as the 'Heroes' had their butts kicked in the first immunity challenge. At tribal council, they voted to send sweet Sugar, whose stealth play in Gabon propelled her to third place, packing.

What does the L.A. based pin-up model have to say about her about her fellow castmates (and a bunch of random other stuff)? Take a gander at her answrers to our oh-so-had-hitting questions and find out ...

Boston Rob on 'Survivor': Not Such a Villain, But Still an Awesome Player

by Kelly Woo, posted Feb 12th 2010 9:45AM
Boston Rob SurvivorLast night's 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villain' premiere featured many of our favorite former players (Tom! Rupert! Cirie!), but we have to admit that the one we most wanted to see again was infamous "Boston" Rob Mariano.

Boston Rob, as you may recall, has competed already in two previous seasons of 'Survivor' -- season 4's 'Marquesas' and season 8's 'All-Stars.' There, he met and fell in love with fellow contestant Amber Brkich, who ended up winning the big prize while he took second place. As a couple, they competed in two seasons of 'The Amazing Race.'

Cirie FieldsThird time's the charm? Cirie Fields certainly hopes so as she competes again for $1 million on 'Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains,' premiering tonight at 8PM ET on CBS.

The operating room coordinator journeyed to Samoa for the reality series' 20th season to try to outwit, outplay and outlast a group of 19 former contestants, divided into two tribes of "good" and "evil."

Fields spoke to AOL TV about being a "hero," whether she changed her strategy and which contestant is the greatest villain in 'Survivor' history.

Cast of 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' Does Letterman's Top Ten List (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 11th 2010 5:00AM
David Letterman, Top Ten List, SurvivorOn 'Late Show With David Letterman' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) the cast of 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' (Thurs., 8PM ET on CBS) did the 'Top Ten List.'

The number one thing we didn't know about 'Survivor'? "Several contestants later posed for 'Playboy' – and I'm one of them," said a tie-dye-shirted Rupert.

Good to know. That's one 'Playboy' we won't be picking up. We'd sooner eat a scorpion and be voted off the island!

'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains': Who Will Win? We Look at the Odds

Survivor Heroes vs Villains
Season 20 of 'Survivor' is sure to be a memorable one, as 20 previous contestants return for a second -- and in some cases third -- chance at winning $1 million.

The players are divided into two camps, 'Heroes vs. Villains,' and since 'Survivor' is a game that has been won by evil means as well as through strength of character, it should be fascinating to observe how the various strategies and alliances play out.

Before host Jeff Probst first asks "Survivors ready?", here are our thoughts on each of the returning players, and the odds of seeing their name written down at the final tribal council.

Jeff Probst to Play, Wit, Last for Two More Seasons of 'Survivor'

by Scott Harris, posted Feb 9th 2010 11:30AM
Put down the picket signs and call off those hunger strikes, because our long national nightmare is finally over: Jeff Probst will be returning to 'Survivor.'

The long awaited news comes from Probst himself, who announced via his twitter feed that he has inked a deal with CBS to return as host of the popular reality series for two more seasons.

"Survivor fans: I'm jazzed and wanted to share with you guys first," Probst tweeted, no doubt from a secret jungle hideaway. "I'll be back snuffing torches for two more seasons (21&22) of Survivor."

Coach Talks About 'Surviving Survivor' (VIDEO)

by Kelly Woo, posted Feb 2nd 2010 4:00PM
Coach on SurvivorOf all the memorable characters 'Survivor' has produced in 19 seasons over 10 years, Benjamin "Coach" Wade may rank as the most quotable.

Who can forget the tale of his Amazon exploits, which "only three people" knew before he told his fellow castaways (and the entire viewing audience)? You know, the one where he gets dropped off near the Peruvian border by a military helicopter? And then he's kidnapped and beaten by a group of natives? He doesn't call himself the "dragon slayer" for nothing.

'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' Promo

by Scott Harris, posted Jan 7th 2010 12:30PM
According to CBS, "it's all been leading up to this." We're not sure if they are referring to the first 19 seasons of 'Survivor,' or, in fact, the totality of human existence, but either way we're pretty stoked, because 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' is almost here and they've finally released some juicy footage as a tease.

Yes, 20 of the most beloved and reviled contestants in 'Survivor' history are back for what may or may not be the show's final season (as host Jeff Probst has yet to renew his contract). Just one week ago we were able to bring you the full list of contestants (good: more crazy Coach. bad: more crazy Rupert) and now, with that cat out of the bag, the network has decided to go ahead and let the world see for themselves what to expect when the hit reality series returns on February 11.

'Survivor': One Location, Two Seasons?

by Rebecca Paiement, posted Jan 5th 2010 7:40PM
CBS is keeping 'Survivor' fans hanging on its decision whether or not to renew.

If the show does make it to season 21, there could be some format changes ahead. Reality Blurred reports it's likely that one location, for instance Samoa, could be used for two seasons. Producers could then incorporate returning cast members.

'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains': Who Will Be Cast?

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 21st 2009 9:00AM
Russell HantzDuring last night's telecast of the 'Survivor: Samoa' reunion (full recap here), CBS premiered a teaser for the upcoming 20th cycle of the show, confirming that it would be a second "All-Star" edition after all. Officially titled 'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains,' the clip showcased virtually every prominent player who's ever been on the show -- certainly more than could fit within the 20 contestant limit.

Fans of the show have been working for months, tracking contestants' Twitter and MySpace accounts, interviewing crew members and possibly even digging through the trash to find out who will actually be cast for next season. In the process, some have wondered whether 'Samoa' runner-up Russell Hantz would be able to appear, the same way Rupert Boneham went straight from 'Pearl Islands' to 'All-Stars.'
