'Sweet Home Alabama' Finale: Who Did Tribble Choose? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 12th 2011 2:30AM
'Sweet Home Alabama' finaleIt was the end of his second season on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Fri., 9PM ET on CMT), but this time it was Tribble Reese tasked with breaking one final person's heart on his way to choosing his winner. He was one of the eliminated bachelors in the reality show's first season.

In that first season, a country boy won out, and it looks like it could become a pattern on the show. Despite saying "I love you" to city girl Jacqueline Honuluk on their final date cruise in New York City, he said that his heart "keeps falling more and more in love" with country girl Tristan Smith.

Hailey Glassman, 'Sweet Home Alabama''Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT) flips it up for its second season, bringing in a bevy of girls to try and woo Tribble Reese. Reese struck out as one of the bachelors last season on 'Alabama,' but is back as CMT follows the 'Bachelor/Bachelorette' formula.

While it was fun for the girls to size up the competition, one from New York was recognized almost immediately. Hailey Glassman was infamously involved with Jon Gosselin when his marriage with Kate collapsed, leading Mandy to dub her "the ultimate homewrecker."

A Winner and a Surprise Twist on Finale of 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 1:52AM
'Sweet Home Alabama'Having already eliminated all the city slickers from the competition, it was down to a couple of more familiar and comfortable southern boys for Devin Grissom on the season finale of 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT).

The pressure wasn't nearly as high as on other dating shows either, as no one was expecting a proposal or a ring.

This was just a huge dating game for her to pick a guy to maybe start dating and see where it goes. She had it narrowed down to Tribble Reese, who's sort of city-southern, and Adam Moyer, a horse trainer from Tennessee who's all country.

Devin Sends Home Two Before Next Week's 'Sweet Home Alabama' Finale (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 26th 2011 3:54AM
Devin Grissom, 'Sweet Home Alabama'In the penultimate installment of 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT), Devin cut the field in half, sending two suitors packing before next week's big finale. With only one "city guy" left, would she leave the option of leaving her Southern roots alive?

As it turned out, she would not. She decided that the South is where she belongs, and sent Jason packing. And really, that was the only reason she gave him. She could have saved the show a whole lot of work in casting city boys if she'd just decided that up front.

The Past Comes Back to Haunt One Guy on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 19th 2011 3:45AM
Devin Grissom, 'Sweet Home Alabama'You never know what is going to be the reason for an elimination on a dating show, but on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT), this week's elimination became a foregone conclusion. Devin Grissom enlisted the aid of her father in helping her make some tough decisions about the remaining guys.

So Dad went detective and took to the computer to see what he could find out about each of them. In his searching, it didn't take long to uncover the secret past of Michael "Flex" Dean. Actually, it may not have been so much a secret, as just that Dean didn't seem to think it was a big deal.

Tribble Accuses Jason of Being Fake on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 12th 2011 1:10AM
Sweet Home AlabamaThe trouble with Tribble is (sorry, 'Star Trek' fans!) he's not too good at keeping his opinions to himself. That became more apparent than ever on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thurs., 9PM ET on CMT) this week, when the country hunk told Jason just what he thought of him.

"I think you're fake -- a lot of things you do are fake," Tribble told the city guy, after the other country boys decided to make a pact to stick together.

Michael Fails to Impress With an Original Song on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 5th 2011 3:16AM
'Sweet Home Alabama'Perhaps to help her understand their more urban roots on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT), three of the "city" bachelors got to treat country girl Devin Grissom to a New York experience on a day trip.

While Pete Westwood took her onto the streets and treated her to a sidewalk hot dog, which is an authentic New York experience, Michael Chadwick opened up a little and showed her his musical side. He told Grisson that she'd inspired him to write for the first time in six years.

"When Michael sings to me, I don't know whether I should laugh or kind of cheer him on," Grissom lamented. He proved himself quite adept at lifting phrases from popular songs and rearranging them awkwardly to suit his needs.

Flex Disrespects the Guys, They Disrespect Him Back on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 29th 2011 5:30PM
The guys argue about respect on 'Sweet Home Alabama'Take 'The Bachelor,' add ten interchangeable homunculi from the city and ten from the country, and make them compete for one single woman from Alabama, and you have CMT's 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thursdays, 10PM on CMT). There is little solidarity among the suitors, but most of the contestants on the show seem to agree that they don't like Michael "Flex" Dean.

Most of the guys believe Flex shows them disrespect. "Nothing means more down here than respect, and when you disrespect somebody, that's what gets us fired up," said Adam Moyer (the one with the hat). Flex, in turn, feels that the rest of the guys disrespect him. "Every day, you challenge me. Every day," said Flex. "That is disrespect, to me."

Snooki's Ex, Jeff, Tries to Bring Some 'Jersey Shore' to 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 22nd 2011 2:51AM
Jeff Miranda, 'Sweet Home Alabama'Snooki's ex-boyfriend Jeff Miranda is still hanging in there on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT). And he's bring all that 'Jersey Shore' swagger and attitude to bear on the country boys of this dating competition, which they seem to find mostly amusing.

After Jeff started snapping at Tribble and some of the other guys over what and how to cook, Tribble grabbed a fire extinguisher because Jeff was putting smoke chips on an inside grill.

"Maybe it's a new flavor I created," Jeff snapped when it was brought up. "You ever think about that?"

Snooki's Ex-Boyfriend Is Competing for Love on 'Sweet Home Alabama' (VIDEO)

'Sweet Home Alabama' series premiereCMT is dipping their toes into 'The Bachelorette' format with their new eight-part reality series 'Sweet Home Alabama' (Thu., 9PM ET on CMT). In it, Southern Belle Devin Grissom seeks love among 20 bachelors, 10 of them country boys and 10 of them city slickers. And one of the latter guys might be familiar to hardcore 'Jersey Shore' fans.

Grissom was definitely intrigued by Jeff Miranda, but even more surprised when he told her everybody knew him back home in New Jersey. When she asked how, he replied, "I dated Snooki from 'Jersey Shore' and I was on the show."

That response certainly took her back a step. "I am very different from Snooki. So I mean if that's his type then maybe I'm not."

Crumbs on hiatus

by Anna Johns, posted Feb 18th 2006 11:17AM
crumbs fred savageCrumbs' two week hiatus just got extended indefinitely by ABC. The new Fred Savage comedy was off the schedule during the Olympics but now it doesn't appear to be returning anytime soon. Instead, ABC will stretch next week's episode of Dancing with the Stars to two hours. The network has scheduled movies, Sweet Home Alabama and Bringing Down the House, on the following Thursdays, March 2 and 9. Then, ABC launches the Simon Cowell competition American Inventor and, starting March 23, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition comes to Thursdays.

It's actually a bit of a surprise that Crumbs is shelved. It's the highest-rated comedy on ABC these days, even ahead of The George Lopez Show. There are eight episodes of Crumbs that are left to air so maybe we'll see it back on the schedule this summer. Or on iTunes.
