'Bionic Woman' Lindsay Wagner to Guest on 'Warehouse 13'
by Gary Susman, posted Apr 23rd 2010 12:30PM
SyFy's hit 'Warehouse 13' centers on a Mulder-and-Scully-like pair of agents who de-mothball ancient and mysterious objects stored in the title building. Maybe one of those objects was an old 'Bionic Woman' videocassette. That could be the explanation for a secretive cameo by '70s sci-fi icon Lindsay Wagner on an upcoming episode of 'Warehouse 13's' second season. The 'Bionic Woman' star, now in semi-retirement from acting, is de-mothballing her own career for an upcoming guest appearance on the show, which she's shooting at the end of this month in Toronto.
Set Visit: Stargate Universe ups ante for veteran franchise
by John Scott Lewinski, posted Oct 21st 2009 11:00AM
The writers and producers of Syfy's Stargate Universe could've played it safe and got along just fine with their latest series. After Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin's 1994 feature film from MGM, the series' first TV adaption (SG1) arrived in 1997. When you throw in the follow-up series, Infinity and Atlantis, the Stargate franchise has run on TV in one form or another for more than 12 years.
When the time came to invent the next step in the franchise, show-runners Brad Wright and Robert C. Cooper could have trotted out more of the same and done perfectly well. Instead, they upped the ante -- bringing a bigger budget and updated production techniques to Stargate Universe.
MGM and Syfy welcomed journalists to Vancouver's Bridge Studios to explore the show's starship Destiny set and discover how this series cruises beyond its successful predecessors.

Groovy! John Sellers brings Bruce Campbell Watch back from the dead
by Danny Gallagher, posted Sep 10th 2009 10:03AM

Some have made the argument that actor Ted McGinley is the patron saint of all things television. I mean, sure Teddy-M.C. has a wide and varied career and holds the power to destroy entire series with his very presence.
Well Mr. McGinley, I've met Bruce Campbell (once, almost, it's a long story). I know Bruce Campbell (not really, but Bob probably knows him better than I do). And you, sir, are no Bruce Campbell.
And just to prove it, let me pose a question: has anyone ever held a "Ted McGinley Watch" in his television honor? I didn't think so. Writer and blogger John Sellers has revived the annual TV tradition on his popular True/Slant blog.
