'T.I. and Tiny': Taylor Swift Asks T.I. to Perform With Her (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 13th 2011 2:00AM
When he received an invitation to perform with Taylor Swift at one of her concerts, T.I. was conflicted. On 'T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1), he talked about how such an appearance might impact his "street cred."He was just days out of prison when Swift invited him to join her Atlanta concert. While he wrestled with a dilemma, saying, "The dilemma becomes street cred [or] Hollywood." He even went so far as to think about some people calling such an appearance "career suicide."
But T.I. decided to do it, though he was still cautious to make sure he kept it clean for this performance. "I could see the headline now," he said. "T.I. corrupts the minds of 20,000 youngsters at the Taylor Swift concert."
Wendy Williams Asks T.I. & Tiny About Drug Bust, But They Don't Say Much (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 1st 2011 5:30PM
T.I. and his wife Tiny came on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) to talk about their new VH1 reality series, 'T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,' which chronicles the rapper's life after being released from prison. But since T.I. didn't want to talk about his drug bust or time behind bars, Wendy had a hard time getting him to say much of anything. The series begins with T.I. still in prison, but when Wendy brought that up, the rapper dug in his heels. "We're not going there, Wendy. We gonna bust a left," he said. But Wendy didn't bust a left, throwing the interview into reverse to ask about the drug bust that put him back in prison. "That was a very precarious situation, with your wife in the car and you were driving, it was flashy. I mean, you know, I'm not saying that drugs are right, but, I'm just saying ... Why didn't you just get high in the hotel room?"
T.I. Teases Chelsea, Says He Thought Her Last Name Was Cent (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 26th 2011 1:30AM
"Your last name isn't 'Lately,' by the way Chelsea," T.I. said during his appearance on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!). He was there to promote his new book, 'Power and Beauty.' But he couldn't resist poking fun a little bit of fun at Chelsea Handler while he was there."I thought your last name was 'Cent,'" he said. "I thought it was 'Chelsea Cent.'"
Handler was ready for this, though. She's certainly made enough jokes about her and 50 Cent. "50's last name was 'Lately' for a while. But then we changed it back," she retorted.

'The Sing-Off': An Amazing Group Peformance of Kings of Leon's 'Use Somebody' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Dec 9th 2010 4:18AM
The fog machine! The slow fist-pumps in the air! The singers awkwardly resting their hands on each others' shoulders! All this could only mean one thing ... 'The Sing-Off' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) kicked off with a group performance tonight. All 71 singers took part in a choral rendition of 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon, singing these words: "You know that I could use somebody/ Someone like you."It was an amazing opening performance. But despite the teamwork and camaraderie, it's still a contest. The stakes are high -- the groups are competing for $100,000 and a recording contract. By the end of the night, only 50 singers would be left, as two groups were sent home. Who would be cut?
D-List premiere: what list is Griffin on now?
by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 8th 2009 5:18PM
For four seasons on Bravo, Kathy Griffin has been trying to crawl her way off of what she called "The D-List," taking humiliating gigs and opening up a lot of her personal life to the cameras to try to get some attention. Truthfully, though, Griffin has been off of the D-List for quite some time, which makes tonight's season five premiere of My Life on the D-List (8 PM, Bravo) a bit puzzling. What list is she on now? Griffin has now won two Emmys for the D-List, had a string of popular stand-up specials on Bravo, and her comedy album For Your Consideration, was nominated for a Grammy this year (she lost to George Carlin's It's Bad For Ya). And this season features appearances by Paris Hilton, Rosie O'Donnell, T.I., Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, and Christina Aguilera - quite a cast for someone supposedly fighting obscurity. Plus, her book Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, hits stores in September on Ballantine Books.
