Taye Diggs on Fatherhood, Changing Diapers (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Feb 9th 2010 1:30PM
'Private Practice' star Taye Diggs and wife Idina Menzel welcomed a baby boy in September of last year. And, Diggs is so proud of his infant son, Walker, that he even enjoys changing diapers, he said on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC)."Let me tell you, his diapers are no joke. No joke," Diggs said. "But even that ... I'm such a proud father that I'm like, 'Good for you! Good for you, little man!'"

Sam and Addison Kiss on 'Private Practice' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 5th 2010 3:30AM
Ooh, we noticed those sparks flying between Sam and Addison on 'Private Practice' (Thurs., 10PM on ABC) -- even before they did. But not everybody thinks their coupling is a good idea. "What about Naomi?" they say.Well, you know what? Sam and Naomi are ancient history, and why shouldn't Sam hook up with Addison? Should the fact that Addison and Naomi are best friends enter into it? Sam is a free agent, right?
We think these two are perfect for each other, and the kiss in last night's episode just confirms it. So there.

Do you want Addison and Sam to hook up on Private Practice?
by Jane Boursaw, posted Dec 12th 2009 4:35PM
Private Practice continues to get better and better, although I like the more lighthearted stories better than the heavier stories like Violet's baby trauma this season. I'm actually more geeked about a few tiny scenes that occurred in the past few episodes. The series started out in 2007 with Addison moving into her new beachfront pad and dancing naked around the house. It turns out that co-worker Sam lived in the house right next door and saw her naked through the window. Of course, Addison was mortified, but it set off a little undercurrent of sexual tension that's been sort of lingering there since that first episode. Both have had other love interests, though, including Sam with ex-wife and Addison's best friend Naomi.
'Better Off Ted' Season 2 Episode 1: 'Love Blurts' (VIDEO)

Companies everywhere might want to take a few notes notes from the season premiere of 'Better Off Ted.' To save some money on healthcare, Veridian decides it will play the role of genetic matchmaker for its employees. Ted and Linda vow not to play the office dating game, until they meet their perfect matches. Everyone has a match except for Phil, who is told the company wants him to have a vasectomy. Taye Diggs guest stars.

The Wicked truth is Idina Menzel wants to be on Glee
by Allison Waldman, posted Dec 5th 2009 3:02PM
Could it be that the cool show for guest appearances is going to be Glee? It well may be the case after Kristin Chenoweth's musical showstopper last October. Kristin's Tony-award winning costar from Wicked, Idina Menzel, wants to do Glee. How do we know? Her husband, Private Practice's Taye Diggs, confirmed it. There's more to it than just that. Apparently the Glee fans -- Gleeks -- have noticed the remarkable resemblance between Idina and Lea Michele.
Why, she could be/play Lea's mother! They look alike and they are both big time Broadway belters. We've heard Lea's incredibly rendition of "Defying Gravity," the song that made Idina a star, on Glee, too.
The Show Girl Talks Taye Diggs (Literally), 'Lost' Theories, Syfy's 'Alice' & More - VIDEO

You've got questions? I've got answers. I'm The Show Girl! This week, I dive back into 'Lost,' hitting around some possible endings and interesting ideas with star Michael Emerson, and sharing a few final season theories of my own.
I also chat with the stars of Syfy's 'Alice' about other possible childrens' story adaptations (a sexy 'Blues Clues,' anyone?), and get personal with 'Private Practice' star Taye Diggs -- who, strangely enough, sounds an awful lot like me -- about his first child and his stint on BFF Jay Harrington's show 'Better Off Ted' (premieres Tues., Dec. 8, 9:30PM ET on ABC).

Taye Diggs Talks 'Private Practice' Pregnancies, Hot Hookups & His Best Friend 'Ted'
by Maggie Furlong, posted Dec 3rd 2009 10:00AM
Taye Diggs gives new meaning to the word multi-tasker. The song and dance man and 'Private Practice' star is juggling a gaggle of ladies and jumping back into surgeries on TV, while at home, he and wife Idina Menzel have their hands full with three-month-old son Walker Nathaniel Diggs. To top it all off, he can also be seen hanging with his real-life BFF Jay Harrington on the second season premiere of 'Better Off Ted.'
AOL TV caught up with the talented Mr. Diggs to get the scoop on the big 'Private Practice' two-hour event (Thurs., Dec. 3, 9PM ET on ABC), what kind of trouble his TV daughter has been getting into and the women who love Dr. Sam Bennett.
He also weighed in on the whole Sam-Addison kiss (he wants more!) and if there's a future for Sam and Naomi (he hopes there isn't). Read it all right here ...
Private Practice: Yours, Mine & Ours (season finale)

(S02E22) "You have my baby and I want it back." - Katie
Those of us who keep up with show spoilers were warned that this episode would be a little crazy. But what we've got instead was a whole lot of crazy and some poor writing. To me, the season finale of Private Practice felt like it was rushed way too much. I get that season finale must be action packed and end with cliffhangers, especially when the series has been renewed, but there is a limit, no?
TV Squad Ten: TV DILFs
by Debra McDuffee, posted Feb 23rd 2009 11:17AM
I think I'm getting old. I realized this last season while watching an episode of Kyle XY. Matt Dallas, who plays Kyle himself, and his baby blues weren't doing anything for me. Chris Olivero (Declan) and his hunky jock thing didn't excite me either. I turned to my husband, mildly horrified when it hit me: "Honey, the hottest guy on this show is the dad!"When my husband shook off his case of the giggles, he gently reminded me that the dad was, actually, closer to my age than the teenage boys. True, but I am so not as old as that dad... but I do think he's hot.
In fact, there have been a lot of hot dads, let's call them DILFs, on TV in recent years. Gives us oldies some eye candy too, I suppose. So, in descending order (yep, you've got to wait until the end for the super-hotties):

(S02E16) "I'm not pathetic. I'm a man. A man with asthma." - Sam
The second hour of the Private Practice/Grey's Anatomy crossover was as action-packed as the first hour (read the review here)! Was Archer going to make it? Why was Jen having troubles breathing? Was Sam having asthma attacks because he couldn't let go of Naomi? What were Pete, Violet, Dell, and Cooper up to back at Oceanside?
Answers and my two cents about the episode coming up!
It's good to see the old Addison Montgomery back
by Joel Keller, posted Oct 9th 2008 10:23AM
Mainly because I watch Pushing Daisies at 8, but also because I can't find much else to watch at 9, I've tuned into the first two episodes of Private Practice's second season. During last year's aborted first season, I tuned in and out, curious to see how the Grey's Anatomy spin-off was progressing. What I found was a) a show that was too busy making its thirty- and forty-something doctors act as immaturely as the twenty-something residents at Seattle Grace and b) that Kate Walsh's character of Addison Montgomery went from strong and funny to whimpering and lovelorn. The second development was especially disheartening, since Addison had become my favorite Grey's character by far, mainly because through sheer force of her acting ability, Walsh was able to turn Addison from a one-dimensional enemy of the Meredith-Derek relationship to the surgeon we rooted for the hardest.
But in the first two episodes, most of what I liked about Addison has returned. And what isn't there is on the way to coming back.

My first true TV crush was probably Jordan Catalano on My So-Called Life. Dreamy, troubled, with eyes like pools of water -- and he sure leaned great, didn't he? And then there was Casey McCall on Sports Night, Josh Lyman on the The West Wing ... OK, so maybe I have an overactive fantasy life.Celebrities are no different from you and me. On AOL TV's new video interview series Outside the Box -- in which TV actors interview each other -- 'Private Practice' stars Kate Walsh, Taye Diggs, Tim Daly and Audra McDonald sit down and rap about stuff like Addison and Pete's "carnal destiny" and Taye's "tiny little dog" (not a euphemism ... I don't think).

Ask Private Practice stars a question for Outside the Box
by Kelly Woo, posted Jul 10th 2008 6:01PM
Outside the Box is an upcoming video interview series from AOL TV, where stars of your favorite shows sit down and answer questions from fans. This is your chance to (sort of) talk to celebrities! We've already asked you to submit questions for the cast of Scrubs and the stars of Dirty Sexy Money, and next on deck are Kate Walsh, Tim Daly, Taye Diggs and Audra McDonald from Private Practice.
Practice has one of the sexiest casts on TV. Daly and Diggs and Paul Adelstein and Chris Lowell AND David Sutcliffe? Come on. That's not even fair. The show's first season was interrupted by the strike, but I'm hoping that the time off gave creator Shonda Rhimes space to refine the storylines, just like she did with Grey's Anatomy. When we left off, Addison had gotten her mojo back and asked police officer Kevin on a date. I'm hoping to see more of that (and "I don't get stood up. I'm Addison.") when season 2 starts.
If you've got a burning question for the four Practice stars, submit it in the comments below by Tuesday, July 15. Don't forget to include your first name and city/state. And try to come up with something other than "ur hot, will you marry me," OK?
Private Practice: In Which Dell Finds His Fight
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Dec 5th 2007 10:19PM

(S01E09) "He's fighting for her." - Dell about Sam
What could be the last Private Practice episode in a long while (this was the last episode completed before the writers' strike) finally gave Dell a good amount of screen time. However, it felt like it was too little too late.
