'The Amazing Race' Winners Reflect On Their Journey (VIDEO)

by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 12th 2011 8:15PM
After winning the $1 million prize on 'The Amazing Race,' Ernie Halvorsen and Cindy Chiang dropped in on 'Live!' (weekdays, syndicated on on ABC) to tell Kelly and guest-host Taye Diggs about what it was like to compete in, and ultimately win the competition that took them on a global adventure.

Kelly asked the engaged couple whose idea it was to go on the show. "It was her idea," Ernie said, and Cindy elaborated. "When we first started dating he was like, 'Oh, let's go out to dinner,' and I was like 'No, we have to watch the show.'" Ernie talked about the regimen that Cindy, a self-professed type-A personality, created for the couple to prepare for the competition.

Taye Diggs Sings the Poopy Diaper Song on 'The View' (VIDEO)

by AOL TV Staff, posted Mar 15th 2011 8:00PM
Taye Diggs visited the ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) on Tuesday to talk about the latest plot twists on his show, 'Private Practice.' But Joy Behar was also curious about the musicality of the Diggs family.

"I was reading that you do a rap of Dr. Seuss to your (18-month-old song) son," she said.

Diggs laughed, saying that he has a very musical family and that "we sing songs about anything."

And to prove it, he sang "a poopy diaper," which he sings to his son when he has the morning shift and the boy wakes up with a poopy diaper: "Boop. Boop. Boop. A poopy diaper. Boop. Boop. Boop. You got poopy diaps."

Are you listening, Def Jam?

'Private Practice': The End of the Day, or the End of a Life? (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 29th 2010 9:31AM
'Private Practice': The End of the Day, or the End of a Life? There's nothing better than leaving the office at the end of the workday. Sure, there are still minor nuisances: powering down your computer, gathering up your stuff ... Still, you're essentially free -- freed from drudgery. Unless something goes wrong.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

Charlotte King (KaDee Strickland) thinks she's free. But nothing could be further from the case. She tries to leave at the end of the day on 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC). Not only does not she make it out the door -- she might not make it out alive.

Ms. King is the Chief of Staff at St. Ambrose Hospital. She's just finished a night of work on Halloween Eve -- she had to stay late on the holiday, but soon that minor annoyance will be the least of her worries. Charlotte and her fiancée Cooper (Paul Adelstein) had a fight earlier in the day. But Coop made it up to her with a gift; a miniature layer cake in a tasteful box. She glances at her fiancée's photo, grabs the box ... And then she's walking out of her office.

And that's when it happens.

'Private Practice': Love in an Elevator (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 22nd 2010 7:23AM
'Private Practice': Love in an ElevatorMedical shows can be so tense. There's never any time for the characters to relax, and everyone's always rushing to surgery or dealing with the latest life-and-death situation. But we get a break from that on the latest 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC).

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

The episode starts with the three main female characters just standing around in an elevator. Hardly the high-stakes drama we're used to. Addison, Amelia and Violet (played by Kate Walsh, Caterina Scorsone and Amy Brenneman) are killing time, and the trio use the elevator ride to discuss their love lives.

Amelia complains that she hasn't had sex in "weeks." Man, that's rough. "I need to get laid! I need to get laid really bad!" she says.

by Neil Busch, posted Oct 21st 2010 12:00PM
'Private Practice' co-stars Kate Walsh and Taye Diggs sat down to answer fan questions for our Outside the Box interview show. So, what question does Walsh most dislike getting? Answer: "Which co-star is the better kisser."

Plus, the castmates talked about where their characters are headed, the more adult situations they are facing and the status of all the relationships on the show. That begged the question from Diggs to Walsh: Can Addison live without drama?

Idina Menzel Talks 'Glee' and Watching Husband Taye Diggs on 'Private Practice'

by Gabrielle Dunn, posted Oct 17th 2010 11:00AM
Idina Menzel, the Tony Award-winning actress who most recently played Rachel's mom on 'Glee,' will embark on an eleven-city tour kicking off Oct. 28 at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

In an interview with TV Squad, Menzel said she'll be singing two songs from her time on 'Glee,' including the Lady Gaga song 'Poker Face,' which she famously sang opposite Lea Michele.

Menzel's character, Shelby, was the coach of the rival glee club, "Vocal Adrenalin" and was revealed to be Rachel's (Michele) mother who gave her up for adoption. At the end of the episode, Shelby told Rachel she couldn't be a part of her life, but did adopt cheerleader Quinn's newborn child.

Taye Diggs Talks About His "Jewish" Dog and Young Son (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 29th 2010 8:15AM
'Chelsea Lately': Taye Diggs Has a Jewish DogTaye Diggs and his wife (Broadway/'Glee' star Idina Menzel) have named their dog after the Jewish African-American Sammy Davis Jr., because, as the actor explained on 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!), "My wife is Jewish; I'm black."

Chelsea Handler asked whether they celebrated any Jewish holidays. "We Hanukkah -- that's about it." The host "grew up Jewish," but she and her Jewish friends preferred celebrating Christmas. "Hanukkah is not a fun holiday. It's like, you get one present eight times in a week ... Forget it already!" Handler said.

Diggs said their baby son "by tradition [is] Jewish, right, if the mother's Jewish." So the 'Private Practice' star asked Handler's advice on raising him in a Jewish household. For a start, she suggested maybe naming him Sammy Davis Jr. as well. Too late: He's Walker Nathaniel. (He's over a year old, after all.)

The 'Private Practice' Cast Teases Love, Marriage & Sex In New Season (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 22nd 2010 12:00PM
Let's be honest: Last season of 'Private Practice' was a real downer. But this season is starting off with a bang, a surprise and some life-changing orgasms, according to the cast.

I stopped by the set while they were shooting their farewells to Dell over his grave (we'll miss you, Chris Lowell!), and they were all incredibly eager to talk about the theme of Season 4: adult relationships.

Check out what Kate Walsh, Taye Diggs, Amy Brenneman, Tim Daly, Audra McDonald, Paul Adelstein, KaDee Strickland, Caterina Scorsone and Brian Benben teased about the sexy new season (premieres Thurs., Sept. 23, 10PM ET on ABC), wedding bells and more.

The Stars of 'Private Practice' Talk Twitter (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 2nd 2010 4:45PM
'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' boss lady Shonda Rhimes is one of my favorite people to follow on Twitter (hi @shondarhimes!). She answers fan questions in what can only be called entertaining bursts of rapid-fire tweeting, then often puts an abrupt end to things when she's sick of answering the same "when will AddiSam happen for real?" question over and over agian.

While we all know the 'Grey's' cast is pretty anti-Twitter, the gang over at 'Private Practice' is much more tech-savvy and loving the instant connection with the fans. I hit the 'Private Practice' set -- a full set visit video is coming closer to premiere -- and the amount of Twitter talk warranted its own post.

Kate Walsh (@k8_walsh) says she treats it like her diary, while Tim Daly (@TimmyDaly) says he can't stand people who do that. Amy Brenneman (@TheAmyBrenneman) gives us the real reason Taye Diggs won't tweet, while Taye just tries to come to terms with the word tweet. And Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) reminds us that sometimes there's more to the oft-maligned social media tool than meets the eye.

Also of note: Caterina Scorsone (@caterinatweets), a.k.a. Amelia Shepherd, is also on. And since my visit, KaDee Strickland (@KaDeeStrick) has joined the ranks as well. I'm not taking credit or anything, but ... well, you're welcome. Enjoy!

Private Practice, Surrogate MomIt's a 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC) miracle! And also a complicated miracle, as is usually the case when the Oceanside Wellness docs are involved.

The docs are ordered to keep a surrogate mother alive until her fetuses are viable outside her body. But when her husband disconnects her breathing apparatus, she breathes on her own! Something tells us this case just got a whole lot more complicated.

'Private Practice': Should Addison Be With Sam or Pete? (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 19th 2010 3:05AM
Private Practice, Sam and AddisonThings are heating up between Pete and Addison on 'Private Practice' (Thu., 10PM ET on ABC) which is just awkward all the way around for Sam. In fact, he doesn't even want to see her at this point, but he's trying to put things aside for his daughter's wedding.

It's a tough choice, because Addison has great chemistry with both of these guys. And really, it's a high class problem, isn't it? Neither one is hard to look at.

Who do you like Addison with – Sam or Pete?
