Taylor Lautner on 'Saturday Night Live': Clip Highlights (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Dec 13th 2009 11:02AM
Everyone's favorite werewolf Taylor Lautner stopped by 'Saturday Night Live' this week to participate in a middle school choir event, do a Rose Bowl promo picture, and mock Team Jacob vs. Team Edward. He also had a few things to say to Kanye West in defense of his girlfriend Taylor Swift. On Weekend Update, one of Tiger Woods mistresses told her story, and some famous adulterers held a press conference. Check out the clips from last night's show.
Taylor Lautner is pretty adorable in his SNL promos
by Kona Gallagher, posted Dec 9th 2009 5:02PM
Here is what I know about Taylor Lautner: 1) He is in New Moon, the second film in the über-popular Twilight series, but instead of a sparkly vampire, he plays a werewolf. 2) Lots of ladies like seeing him with his shirt off, and 3) Said ladies feel dirty afterward because he's only 17 and they are... slightly older than 17.
Lautner is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, and NBC has just released two short promos that he did with Kristen Wiig, and it looks like they're trying to bond. In the first one, Wiig talks about how she used to think that she was a werewolf, and in the second, Lautner tells Wiig that he really likes her-- because she reminds him of his mom. Aw, poor Kristen Wiig. A lot of non-teen Twilight fans know how you feel.
I've never actually heard this guy speak before, but he seems downright adorable, so I have high hopes for his episode. His alleged girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was on last month and gave audiences what was arguably the best episode of the season, so hopefully she gave him some pointers.

'Saturday Night Live' December Lineup: Blake Lively, Taylor Lautner, James Franco
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 30th 2009 10:45AM
The December slate of hosts is coming together for NBC's 'Saturday Night Live.' Joining the already announced Blake Lively ('Gossip Girl') and the ever-dependable James Franco will be cinema's sexiest werewolf, Taylor Lautner.According to Variety, Lautner is on board to host the Dec. 12 episode, with Bon Jovi as musical guest. The 'Twilight' co-star is currently riding the blockbuster success of 'New Moon,' as well as his shorter -- and much more appealing -- locks. Maybe they could bring Taylor Swift back for the 'Firelight' sequel trailer, with Lautner playing his own parody.

What You Missed Last Night: Jimmy Fallon almost gets sued by Twilight producers
by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 20th 2009 2:00PM
The entire time I watched this clip from last night's Late Night, I was thinking, "if Taylor Lautner smashes into a wall face-first or falls off of the mini-bike and cracks his head open, Fallon is going to be in big trouble." The two guys raced around the NBC hallways on mini-bikes. The winner wins because he cheats.

Review: Saturday Night Live - Taylor Swift
by Annie Wu, posted Nov 8th 2009 9:40AM

(S35E05) I had to talk myself through being allowed to criticize Taylor Swift. Ever since Kanye West VMA outburst turned everyone in America into Swift's over-protective mom, she's been shown even more as an innocent country-inspired sweetheart. Every time she messed up in this episode, I felt the need to hold back any not-super-great remarks because, well, she's a teeny-bopper! Teeny-boppers are just kids goofin' around!
And then I have to pause and remind myself that she's almost 20-years-old, around the same age as Shia LaBeouf and Ellen Page when they first hosted and Abby Elliiott when she initially joined the featured players. Screw it, there's no need to hold back. Swift is a musician, so we can't expect her acting skills to be super-good, but the fact I keep thinking she's only 14 shouldn't affect anything else.
Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner Dating? Ellen DeGeneres Tries to Find Out (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Oct 30th 2009 9:43AM
Taylor Swift is remaining tight-lipped about her relationship with 'Twilight' dog boy Taylor Lautner. The 19-year-old Swift laughed and squirmed nervously as Ellen gamely pressed her on the relationship on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' but she still managed to avoid saying much of anything. Even once Ellen showed a photo of Swift and Lautner locking lips, Swift still wouldn't take the bait. Perhaps sensing the interview was in jeopardy, Ellen questioned Swift directly on Lautner's kissing prowess, but Swift's only response was to nervously twiddle with a ring on her finger and coyly ask, "What?"
Spill it, Swift! What want details!

A TV series about Twilight's New Moon movie means we have too many channels
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 20th 2009 8:27PM
TV Guide has a couple of weekly recap shows about American Idol when it's on, but even so this seems a bit excessive. I know Twilight is a big hit with the kids, but is it big enough that we need a weekly hour-long show to build up to the premiere of New Moon, the second film in the franchise. "This week we'll interview the cast and crew and show you some sets. Next week we can talk more to the cast and show you another piece of set. Ooh! Ooh! Wanna see an exclusive six second sneak preview of Jacob growing fur and a snout. Enthralling!" Sadly, this will probably work. If nothing else, it will get young girls watching ReelzChannel.
I have no problem with the behind-the-scenes specials we get to spotlight upcoming movies, but an entire series based on one movie seems a bit ridiculous. That said, maybe NBC should look at picking this up in case Leno doesn't work out. Make it a nightly thing. After all, there's more movies coming!
