by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 2nd 2010 6:05AM
Taylor Swift Performs 'Mine' at 'CMA Music Festival'A surprise was in store for Taylor Swift fans at the 'CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock' (Wed., 8PM ET on ABC). They crowded into a venue designed "around the tea party room, which was a big theme in the Fearless Tour," explained the performer. So maybe the decorations weren't new, but the music was, as Swift unveiled her new single, 'Mine.'

She played the guitar and sang, "You were in college working part-time waitin' tables / Left a small town, never looked back / I was a flight risk with a fear of falling / Wondering why we bother with love if it never lasts..."

Jamie Foxx on Taking his Daughter to the Grammys (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 5th 2010 4:30AM
David Letterman, Jamie Foxx, GrammysYou'd think that it must be pretty cool to be Jamie Foxx's daughter. Even if you think your dad is the lamest thing on the planet, hey, at least you get to go to the Grammys and hang with all the cool people like Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

Then again, we're not sure how cool it would be to do that and have your dad break into a chorus of 'Bad Romance' on the red carpet. Foxx stopped by 'Late Show with David Letterman' (weeknights, 11:30PM ET on CBS) to talk about the experience of taking his daughter Corinne -- who's in the 'Oh my God' stage -- to the Grammys.

Taylor Swift's Grammy Home Video on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)

by Harley W. Lond, posted Feb 4th 2010 7:19PM
She's young and she's exuberant and she won four Grammys last weekend. But success hasn't gone to Taylor Swift's head. She's still like a kid in a candy store.

Ellen DeGeneres sent Swift a video camera to document her weekend in Los Angeles and the resulting video was aired exclusively on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Swift tapes her visit to Clive Davis' party ("It's a super cool party"), where she gets to meet Barbra Streisand ("Oh My God!"). Then it's on to the Grammys, where she shows off her win for Album of the Year ("This is the coolest night ever").

Taylor Swift: 'I'd Love to Win a Grammy' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Jan 29th 2010 4:30PM
Taylor Swift, nominated for eight GrammysIt's fitting that Taylor Swift talked to 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS) on the set where 'The Wizard of Oz' was filmed. As she puts it, "I'm not in Nashville anymore." The pop star has won just about every music award except a Grammy, but that will likely change this Sunday, as she's nominated for eight Grammys!

"I would love to know what that felt like some day, and I'm not gonna be picky about it," she said. "I would take any of the eight. I would take one this year or ten years from now. It feels really wonderful to have eight shots at it." Swift will also be performing at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, Jan. 31, 8PM ET on CBS.

Most Awkward Award Show Moments (VIDEO)

by Mike Scalise, posted Jan 8th 2010 4:00PM
First she did a twirly hug, then made an odd, slurry joke about a kitten, spoke at a rate of about one word per minute and seemed to have her own personal hype man ('Precious' director Lee Daniels). And what did we do while we watched Mariah Carey's acceptance speech for Breakthrough Actress at last weekend's Palm Springs Film Festival?

We winced. We cringed. Then we watched it again.

Carey's, uh, loosened speech was the first genuinely awkward moment this award show season, but there were many actors, filmmakers, and musicians before her who've heard their name called, stepped to the podium, and made things a little weird for everyone.

Johnny Depp, Sandra Bullock Top 2010 People's Choice Awards Winners

by AOL TV Staff, posted Jan 7th 2010 2:16AM
Sandra Bullock, People's Choice Awards 2010It was a low-key night for the 2010 People's Choice Awards, the 36th annual gala celebrating fan favorites in movies, TV and music. Nothing particularly amazing or outlandish happened, and most of the stars donned conventional gowns, including host Queen Latifah, who looks fabulous these days. She started the show off with a musical medley, including Susan Boyle's hit 'I Dreamed a Dream,' then launched into the presentations.

We didn't see all of the awards being presented, including Favorite Talk Show Host, won by Ellen DeGeneres. But, of course, she had a few words to say about it. "Oprah, I love you, and I'm sorry your show got canceled." Then she added something about winning eleven times, "one for each of Sandra Bullock's toes." Maybe that was a private joke between the two?

TV Moment of 2009: Kanye Interrupts Taylor Swift at MTV Video Music Awards

by Chris O'Connell, posted Dec 28th 2009 8:00AM
Taylor Swift"Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."

Words that will live forever in infamy. Sort of. In one of the most baffling awards show moments ever, Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards just after Taylor Swift was awarded Best Female Video. Swift, and the rest of America, looked on awkwardly.

Was this really happening? Once everyone remembered who was doing the interrupting, it didn't seem so shocking. Kanye had pulled this sort of act before, once even a couple of years ago at the MTV Europe Music Awards when he crashed the stage after losing an award to French duo Justice.

The Twelve Days of Festivus: Nine on-air breakdowns

by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 15th 2009 11:00AM
Glenn BeckOn the ninth day of Festivus, TV gave to me... nine on-air breakdowns.

Director Alfred Hitchcock once said, "Television has done much for psychiatry by spreading information about it, as well as contributing to the need for it."

Yes, having a camera stuck in your face for an hour or more a day must take a toll on your sanity. Your privacy is virtually limited. Your every move is scrutinized and criticized by faceless meanies. Your therapist is one session away from owning his own fishing trawler.

It's only a matter of time before the grasp of sanity is clipped away like a loose thread on a homemade snowman sweater and you turn into a blubbering, snotty, incoherent mess for all the world to enjoy. These are the personalities who lost it and may or may not have gained whatever "it" is back.

Taylor Lautner Beheads Kanye West on 'Saturday Night Live' (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Dec 14th 2009 10:55AM
While hosting 'Saturday Night Live,' 'New Moon' star Taylor Lautner acted out a fantasy in which he defended the honor of rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift , whose acceptance speech at last summer's MTV Video Music Awards was famously interrupted by Kanye West.

"I was actually at the VMAs the night she won the award for Best Video and Kayne West interrupted her speech. What I really wanted to do that night was this," Lautner said during his opening monologue.

Taylor Lautner is pretty adorable in his SNL promos

by Kona Gallagher, posted Dec 9th 2009 5:02PM
Here is what I know about Taylor Lautner: 1) He is in New Moon, the second film in the über-popular Twilight series, but instead of a sparkly vampire, he plays a werewolf. 2) Lots of ladies like seeing him with his shirt off, and 3) Said ladies feel dirty afterward because he's only 17 and they are... slightly older than 17.

Lautner is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, and NBC has just released two short promos that he did with Kristen Wiig, and it looks like they're trying to bond. In the first one, Wiig talks about how she used to think that she was a werewolf, and in the second, Lautner tells Wiig that he really likes her-- because she reminds him of his mom. Aw, poor Kristen Wiig. A lot of non-teen Twilight fans know how you feel.

I've never actually heard this guy speak before, but he seems downright adorable, so I have high hopes for his episode. His alleged girlfriend, Taylor Swift, was on last month and gave audiences what was arguably the best episode of the season, so hopefully she gave him some pointers.

Taylor Swift Gives Emotional CMA Awards Acceptance Speech (VIDEO)

by Donald Deane, posted Nov 12th 2009 11:25AM
Kanye West's bum-rush of the stage during last September's VMA Awards while Taylor Swift accepted for Best Female Video served as fodder for parodies and jokes on several different occasions during last night's 43rd Annual CMA Awards show. In addition, Swift scored big by snagging a total of four awards including Entertainer of the Year.

During the award show, country stars took jabs at West who interrupted Swift's VMA speech and loudly proclaimed Beyonce should have won instead, including Grand Ole Opry Star Little Jimmy Dickens who jokingly interrupted Carrie Underwood while she praised Brad Paisley's song "Welcome to the Future" and announced to the assembled crowd that Swift's music is superior.

Taylor Swift Is Star of CMA Awards, Wins Entertainer of the Year

by Donald Deane, posted Nov 12th 2009 10:29AM
Last night's 43rd Annual CMA Awards was dominated by Taylor Swift, who managed to sweep all four categories she was nominated in, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year Award. Of course, there were the requisite Kanye West jokes for his crashing of Swift's VMA acceptance speech in September, but the night was more about Swift's history-making win as the youngest person, and one of only a few women, to be named Entertainer of the Year.

The 19-year-old Swift beat out Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Keith Urban for the award, and also won Best Female Vocalist, Video of the Year for 'Love Story' and Album of the Year for 'Fearless.'
