Happy Canada Day! TV's Sexiest Canadians
by Jean Bentley, posted Jul 1st 2011 9:00AM
When you think of Canada, what's the first thing that pops into your mind? Hockey, poutine, lumberjacks, Celine Dion or these attractive people:

Contrary to popular belief, Canadians can be sexy. REALLY sexy. Case in point: the vampiness of Nina Dobrev in her dual roles on 'The Vampire Diaries'; the long-but-not-too-long hair and aloof-but-still-caring nature of Taylor Kitsch's Tim Riggins on 'Friday Night Lights;' the everything of Nathan Fillion on 'Castle.'
In hono(u)r of Canada Day (and in honor of posting pictures of hot actors on our site), check out AOL TV's list of the sexiest Canadians on TV. It's a holiday weekend, you're not doing any real work anyway ...

Dax Shepard, Fiancée Kristen Bell Have Same Celeb on Freebie-Sex List (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Sep 30th 2010 4:50AM
'Parenthood' actor Dax Shepard and fiancée Kristen Bell don't have those "freebie" lists wherein there are a few celebrity hotties each is allowed to sleep with once (if he or she happens to be given the opportunity)."If I let her sleep with some dude one night, I don't think the dude's gonna be happy with just one night," explained Shepard on 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!). "I'll be dealing with some dude for the rest of our lives, probably, because she's that spectacular." Chelsea Handler made him clarify whether she's all-around spectacular -- or just as concerns the bedroom.
However, there is one celebrity they'd both sleep with: Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins from 'Friday Night Lights'). "I don't even think that makes me gay either," said Shepard. The host agreed, "A lot of guys and girls want to have sex with him."

Landry Is Leaving 'Friday Night Lights'
by Allison Waldman, posted Mar 8th 2010 11:00AM
Unlike 'Happy Days' or 'Fame' or 'Welcome Back, Kotter,' kids today do not remain in high school for life on television any more. No, today, the actors and their characters are chewed up and spit out in real time, just like life. That means we have to accept that 'Friday Night Lights'' Landry is leaving the show, and with that, Jesse Plemons is off the NBC show. Well, not totally. He'll be out of East Dillon High School, but still living in Dillon, Texas. Executive producer Jason Katims says that Jesse will be on 'Friday Night Lights' for the fifth and final season, but not a regular. It'll be part-time, which isn't the worst situation. However, with his status as recurring and Taylor Kitsch as Tim definitely gone -- along with Zach Gilford as Matt and Scott Porter as Jason and Gaius Charles as Smash before them -- they're definitely breaking up that old Panther team from the first couple of seasons.
Sigh ... is it too soon to hope for a Dillion Panther Championship team reunion in the next decade?
Staff Crush: Tim Riggins from 'Friday Night Lights'
by Patricia Chui, posted Feb 10th 2010 4:35PM
In honor of Valentine's Day, AOL TV's staff will be revealing their crushes all week.I am the envy of all my friends. I have DirecTV.
Well, let me clarify. I am the envy of all my 'Friday Night Lights'-loving friends, because having DirecTV means that for the past few months I've gotten to watch new episodes of 'FNL' months before they air on NBC. And this also means: Every Wednesday night, I get to revel in the glory that is Tim Riggins. And they don't.
Who is Tim Riggins, you ask? Wait, WHAT? You don't know Tim Riggins? Former Dillon Panthers fullback? That hard-drinking, hard-loving, truck-driving specimen of fine young manhood? Not since Jordan Catalano has a fictional teenage boy caused my heart rate to flutter so, like some epileptic hummingbird on a bender.
But perhaps my gushing all over your computer screen isn't sufficient. How do I love Tim Riggins? Let me count the ways.
Taylor Kitsch Leaving 'Friday Night Lights'
by Laura Prudom, posted Jan 12th 2010 12:20PM
Women will be weeping on the streets of Dillon tonight. 'Friday Night Lights' is set to lose another member of its original cast as hunky Taylor Kitsch will not be returning as a series regular next season, TV Guide confirms. Kitsch, who plays resident bad-boy-with-a-heart-of-gold Tim Riggins, will be departing the series to focus on his upcoming big screen parts, most notably the titular role in upcoming sci-fi remake 'John Carter of Mars,' according to executive producer Jason Katims.
TV's Top Shirtless Guy Moments of 2009
by Jane Boursaw, posted Dec 24th 2009 8:00AM
This year offered plenty of hot and steamy TV moments, but some of the best featured hunky, half-naked guys. It was like an instant party for all of us female viewers out here, whether you're into sexy vampires, rough-gem bikers, or scrappy high school football players. But rather than savor these moments all by ourselves, we've put together a round-up to share them with the world. Although they're numbered from one to 10, we think all of these guys are equally sexy. See if you agree with our choices.
Taylor Kitsch may be done with Friday Night Lights
by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 22nd 2009 10:32AM
One of the most integral and interesting characters on Friday Night Lights may be out of the lineup for much of the rest of the season. And he may not be back for next season, either. Taylor Kitsch could be out of Friday Night Lights after the next few episodes. Michael Ausiello is reporting that executive producer Jason Katims confirmed that Taylor's conflicting schedule with a big screen project has mucked up the works.Taylor's playing the title character in John Carter of Mars, a big screen adaptation of the famous Edgar Rice Burroughs' books, which isn't slated to be released until 2012, but will require extensive filming. It doesn't look like he'll be able to fit more of Friday Night Lights into the mix. And a lot of the predicament could be on the Disney side; will they free up his shooting schedule for John Carter to let him play Tim Riggins.
Friday Night Lights, season four -- An early look
by Jonathan Toomey, posted Oct 28th 2009 12:02PM

Entering into its fourth season (and second since the NBC/DirecTV deal), Friday Night Lights is a show in transition on numerous levels. The high school football drama returns tonight to DirecTV's 101 Network at 9 p.m. ET (NBC won't air this season until next summer) and for fans of the show, it's an episode they've long been waiting for.
Ever since the season three finale, as Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his wife Tami (Connie Britton) stepped on to the East Dillon Lions decrepit football field, Eric's new home, the tension has been at an all time high in Dillon, Texas. How can Coach Taylor, a man whom many consider to be a high school football wunderkind, start from scratch with a team that doesn't even exist yet?
Greatest TV Bad Boys

Oh, bad boys, what would we do without you? While in real life you're more trouble than you're worth, on screen your sulky swaggering, tough talk and icy eyes almost always belie a tender heart beneath the bravado. And that's where you're best enjoyed -- from a safe distance. Here's a look at the TV desperados who made our hearts melt, in our countdown of TV's Top 20 Bad Boys. -- By Liane Bonin
Will Tim Riggins be back for season four of Friday Night Lights?
by Mike Moody, posted May 12th 2009 5:01PM
Taylor Kitsch made the leap from TV to the big screen with a memorable appearance as Gambit in the hit film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. But the Friday Night Lights star isn't ready to forget his TV roots.Kitsch is reportedly open to returning to Friday Night Lights next season as Dillon bad boy Tim Riggins. Of course, viewers of NBC's low-rated but highly praised drama know that Riggins should be spending most of his time in San Antonio State next year. So how exactly would he fit into season four of FNL, based in the fictional town of Dillon, TX?
Friday Night Lights: May The Best Man Win
by Brett Love, posted Feb 9th 2008 1:20PM

(S02E15) Yeah. So, we can't really talk about this episode without getting into the possibility that this was the series finale of Friday Night Lights. No matter what comes of the big meetings this weekend regarding the writer's strike, there are no guarantees that the show will even get to finish season two, let alone come back for a third go. Recent comments from the network certainly don't paint an optimistic picture. And all of that is important, because where this episode ends up in the time line of the show will ultimately determine how successful it was. As episode 15 of a 22 episode second season, it was solid. As the series finale, not so much.

Friday Night Lights: Leave No One Behind
by Brett Love, posted Feb 2nd 2008 8:32AM

(S02E14) This episode left me comparing the show itself to its own fictional Panthers football team. Both had their seasons get off to a rough start, but now everyone seems to be coming together in the hopes of a strong finish. There are still no guarantees for another run at state, or a third season, but tonight was a step in the right direction for both teams. With some great development for Saracen, a turn in the Landry/Tyra story that didn't make you want to kick a writer in the crotch, and the continuation of Smash's story, a lot of points were put on the board.

Friday Night Lights: Who Do You Think You Are?
by Brett Love, posted Jan 19th 2008 1:34PM

(S02E12) It's an interesting title for what was ultimately a strange episode. The show on the whole continues to improve after what was a weak start to the season, but it's not without some bumps in the road. We could ask that question of so many of the characters after what we saw in this episode. Lyla, Riggins, Smash, Buddy, Santiago, Mrs. Williams. Just as easily though, it could be turned on the powers that be over at FNL.
