Tina Fey Returns as 'Sarah Palin' on 'Late Show' (VIDEO)

Tina Fey Returns as 'Sarah Palin' on 'Late Show'Tina Fey hasn't been paying attention to politics lately. In fact, David Letterman had to tell her about the 2010 election, and what the Republicans have been up to: "Last night, they sent America 'a message,'" he said with a rueful grin.

Ms. Fey is so out of the political "loop" that she can't recall how to do her famous "Sarah Palin" impression. But she gave it a shot on 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). At Dave's request, she did her version of Sarah Palin -- after pointing out that Palin is going to be hard to live with, following the recent Republican success.

Here is Tina doing "Sarah" -- and commenting on the 2010 GOP comeback, partially led by Palin's "mama grizzly" Tea Party candidates: "All her 'mama grizzlies' are winnin' and they're ... goin' ta Washington, and they're gonna flip your pic-a-nik table, Dave! ... You're gonna hafta tie your food to a tree!"

The Best Moments From Jon Stewart's 'Rally to Restore Sanity' (VIDEO)

The Best Moments From Jon Stewart's 'Rally to Restore Sanity'This weekend, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert held their 'Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear' (Sat., 12PM ET on Comedy Central). The rally was a counterpart to Glenn Beck's 'Restoring Honor' march, held a few months back.

The goal was to share political views in an inoffensive manner. Moderation was the ideal; Stewart showed video clips of media figures (such as Mr. Beck) who supposedly used polarizing speech.

Since the event was hosted by comedians, the whole thing was a joke -- or was it? A bunch of celebs attended, including Ozzy Osbourne, Kid Rock, and Sheryl Crow. But Stewart stopped the music and jokes to deliver this message: "I thought we might have a moment ... for some sincerity. ... I can't control what people think this was. I can only tell you my intentions."

Bill Maher -- I "Created and Destroyed" Tea Partier Christine O'Donnell (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 27th 2010 2:45AM
Bill Maher -- I 'Created and Destroyed' Tea Partier Christine O'DonnellComic and pundit Bill Maher showed up on the new 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 11PM ET on TBS). Bill and host George Lopez had a freewheeling discussion about the state of American politics. Bill also claimed that he had "created" a polarizing figure -- current Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell.

Lopez wasn't a fan of Ms. O'Donnell, calling her a "anti-masturbation witch." At this point, Maher raised his hand in the air -- and took the credit (or the blame) for Christine. "Well, I'm responsible for [her,]" he said. O'Donnell first gained national prominence on 'Politically Incorrect,' Maher's old show.

Bill Maher Gets an Expert Opinion on Christine O'Donnell -- She's "Spectacularly Stupid" (VIDEO)

Bill Maher Gets an Expert Opinion on Christine O'Donnell -- She's 'Spectacularly Stupid'Bill Maher's feud with Delaware Tea Party candidate Christine O'Donnell has generated national headlines. On the new episode of 'Real Time With Bill Maher' (Fri., 10PM ET on HBO), the host added more fuel to the fire.

Christine believes in creationism -- she thinks the earth was made about six thousand years ago. As a result, O'Donnell also believes that evolution is a "myth." On Maher's previous show, 'Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher,' she posed a fairly head-scratching question to the host. If evolution is real, she asked, then "why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?" Hmm. That's a good one.

Bill O'Reilly Debates Tea Party Racism With NAACP Official Hilary Shelton (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 10th 2010 1:11PM
Racism in the Tea Party has been hot button issue ever since the nebulous political movement burst onto the scene.

The NAACP Senior VP Hilary Shelton came on to 'The O'Reilly Factor' (Weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News) to discuss Teapartytracker.org, a website the civil rights group helped set up to monitor racism in the Tea Party.

O'Reilly and Shelton seemed to agree that in April the Tea Party had issued some sort of decree against racism. So O'Reilly asked Shelton to give him "an example, from April to September ... of what you say is racism."

"The closet thing we've seen so far is we saw a t-shirt at one of the rallies that said some things that are really problematic," Shelton answered.

"You're going to tell me that in a six month period you found one t-shirt?" O'Reilly shot back. "That said something offensive, and that is enough to have your organization put its prestige and weight behind (the website)?"

Shelton did not have a coherent answer for that.

The next time the NAACP sends someone on TV to accuse a group of racism, they should probably make sure he's armed with more examples of said racism.

Jon Stewart Gets a New Hat, and Instantly Turns Into a Republican (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 18th 2010 1:36AM
Jon Stewart Gets a New Hat, and Instantly Turns Into a RepublicanDo clothes make the man? We all know that 'Daily Show' host Jon Stewart is a fairly liberal dude. But what if his Democratic-ness is just based solely on his choice of wardrobe?

On the latest episode of the show (weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), Jon is visited by guest Dick Armey. By the way -- and just as a side-note -- "Dick Armey" is the most unfortunate name that any person has received in the course of human history.

At any rate, Dick is a pretty hardcore Republican, and a current leader of the "Tea Party" movement. But while he's on the show, he gives Jon a present. It's a cowboy hat that was specifically designed for Ronald Reagan. Jon puts it on -- and the hat has an instant effect on his demeanor. Suddenly, Jon starts ranting about Communism, then starts shooting imaginary guns in the air.

... See? It's just that easy. The divide between being a liberal or conservative is based on nothing more than what type of headgear that you wear.

Bill Maher Tonight Show with Jay LenoBill Maher stopped by 'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' (weeknights at 11:35PM ET on NBC) and discussed the current political hot topic: health care reform.

Maher gave credit to the Tea Party political movement for helping get the bill passed. Wait, what?

"I have to say, I thank the Tea Baggers ... they're the ones who got it passed." The reason? Maher said they dressed up in costumes, put tea bags on their hats and carried doctored photos of President Obama. "America saw that and said 'What loons, we're going with the calm black man.'"

Video after the jump.
