• I'm always up for a good Dwight Schrute bobblehead, but a Terminator one? I'm not sure I really get the appeal there.
• I get more than enough of Evangeline Lily on Lost, so I'm definitely not sitting around wishing she was in more movies. However, she made the Cinematical Seven: TV Stars Who Should Be In More Movies (female edition) list. See who else made it over at Cinematical.
• Apparently fans have been up in arms about Jonah Hill remaking 21 Jump Street, saying that he was going to make it into a comedy. I loved 21 Jump Street, and I had no idea it wasn't a comedy already.
• I haven't seen Sam Raimi's newest horror flick, Drag Me To Hell yet, but I fully intend to. See what rating Cinematical readers are giving it.
• Cinematical is even suggesting you make it a double-feature weekend, seeing both Drag Me to Hell and Pixar's latest film, Up. Having seen Up, I highly recommend this. It is an amazing movie that will have you in tears throughout the entire thing (but was still really funny!).

• Did you know that ten members of the Wayans family makes appearances in Dance Flick? Read the review here.
• If you remember, when Heath Ledger passed away, he was in the middle of filming the Terry Gilliam film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. It premiered at Cannes this week; you can read the review here.
• Michael Moore's next film sets its release date. It's a look at the current financial crisis, and comes out October 2, a year and a day after the $700 million Wall Street bailout.
• I'm saying right here and right now, that I have zero interest in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, so I would already be in trouble. Cinematical asks, "What films would you break up over?"
• It's been getting mixed reviews, so Cinematical asks how you rate Terminator Salvation.

I just got back from Terminator: Salvation (it was ... eh) and while I was watching it, I couldn't help but think about Fox's just-canceled Sarah Connor Chronicles. It was established when the show began that the two would be working in entirely different continuities. But why?

One of the things that made the first film such an impressive piece of film-making was that they were able to do such a dense science fiction film on a small budget. Now that franchise has turned into special effects and (BOOM!) explosions!! The lower budget forces you to get more creative with storytelling and you wind up with The Sarah Connor Chronicles. But what an opportunity the Terminator franchise had with both outlets occurring simultaneously. An opportunity totally squandered.

I don't usually associate a hearty breakfast with robots, but apparantly Denny's does. Their new ad for the new Grand Slamwich (they have great names for their meals - my favorite is still Moons Over My Hammy) shows robotic arms making a processed breakfast and then real people making a Denny's breakfast. Does the spot remind you of something else we've seen on TV recently? The explanation after the jump, but play this video first.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles season two finale pulled in a paltry 3.6 million viewers Friday night. The show came in behind Ghost Whisperer, Wife Swap and the abomination known as Howie Do It to receive a low 1.3 rating among adults 18-49.

It's a shame. The TSCC season finale was probably the best episode of the series. It was smart, absorbing, and just plain batsh*it crazy. It took the Terminator mythos in a bold new direction to set up what could possibly be an amazing third season. But a third season is unlikely with numbers like this. The show has failed to bring in even four million viewers during the past few months.

It looks like fans will have to get their Terminator fix with Christian Bale's upcoming Terminator Salvation and its sequels.

Fox is expected to announce its lineups for the 2009-2010 season on May 18. If TSCC doesn't make the cut, I've got three words for series creator Josh Friedman: Comic book continuation. Hey, it worked for Buffy!
