Angelea Feels Attacked, Goes on the Offensive on 'America's Next Top Model' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 2:00AM
In a challenge absolutely designed to create conflict among the remaining contestants on 'America's Next Top Model' (Wed., 9PM ET on The CW), the girls were asked to critique one another, and even decide which of them really shouldn't be on the show anymore. When Dominique singled out Angelea for that latter honor, she immediately went on the defensive. Laura tried to explain to her that they all love her and think she's wonderful, just lacking in self-belief, but Angelea wasn't hearing any of it.
Marissa Outs Teddy to Win the Election Over His Uncle on '90210' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 4:45AM
Coming out as a gay person can be a very emotional and difficult time. So you certainly don't want someone else to out you on national television. That's the situation Teddy found himself in when footage of his wedding wound up on the local news on '90210' (Tue., 8PM ET on The CW).What's worse is it was done solely so Marissa could beat his conservative uncle in a special election. And Marissa was so confident in the move, she wasn't even ashamed to admit it to Silver.
"I did what I had to do to win. And now I'm gonna do a lot of good for a lot of people, including your friend," she said. As for Teddy being upset and angry. "He will get over it," Marissa said.
'Gossip Girl' Season 5, Episode 7 Recap: Top 5 OMG Moments (VIDEO)
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 14th 2011 10:45PM
['Gossip Girl' - 'The Big Sleep No More']Ah, a masquerade, a staple of CW storytelling and a delicious excuse for all manner of identity-switching shenanigans; it was only a matter of time before 'Gossip Girl' exhumed their stock of fancy facewear and started a new scandal or two.
The episode had more than a passing resemblance to last season's masked ball outing, 'The Witches of Bushwick,' another installment in which Serena and her fabulous blonde locks were the subjects of identity theft. (At least this week's episode didn't see her roofied and unconscious in a grimy motel in Queens.)
Diana proved herself to be a master manipulator capable of rivaling even Blair Waldorf, while our stubborn Queen B. found herself too fixated on Chuck's nonexistent scheme to recognize her own feelings.

'Nikita' Season 2, Episode 8 Recap
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 11th 2011 11:35PM
['Nikita' - 'London Calling']I knew that the streak of awesome 'Nikita' episodes had to end sooner or later, and last week's 'Clawback' was definitely a hard act to follow, but I was still a little disappointed by how emotionally disconnected I felt from 'London Calling.'
That's not to say that the episode was terrible, by any stretch of the imagination, but the danger of focusing a story around a character who isn't a series lead (and further, a character whom much of the fanbase actively dislikes) is that the audience will struggle to relate to the narrative. I'm sure that the producers hoped that we'd be invested in Cassandra's fate purely because she's the mother of Michael's child, but frankly, I couldn't care less whether she lived or died, which made the stakes of the episode practically non-existent.
It's not even the fault of the writer. Kalinda Vazquez wrote a competent enough episode (even if the missing $200 million felt a little like a convenient MacGuffin that was never really explored in depth), but since Cassandra was introduced purely to be an obstacle to Nikita and Michael's relationship, nothing we learned about her in this episode actually made her more sympathetic.
EXCLUSIVE: 'Secret Circle' Preview Clip: Something Wicked This Way Comes in 2012
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 10th 2011 8:00PM
When 'The Secret Circle' began, we all assumed that Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) was as sweet and wholesome as warm apple pie, but lately, we're starting to have our doubts. In recent weeks, we've seen her display a disturbing penchant for pyromania -- even burning a would-be witch-killer alive -- and supposedly, it's all because of her absentee father, John Blackwell. Daddy dearest apparently had a bit of a dark side, and now it seems like everyone in Chance Harbor is wondering if Cassie's going to head down a similar path.
Tonight's midseason finale will shed a little more light on Cassie's twisted family tree, but AOL TV has an exclusive preview of the episodes coming up after 'The Secret Circle' returns from winter hiatus on January 5th. Watch out for black magic ...

'Vampire Diaries' Star Michael Trevino on Getting Close with Klaus & the Rift with Caroline
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 10th 2011 12:00PM
Mystic Falls has been painfully bereft of everyone's favorite werewolf-turned-hybrid for the past two weeks, but thankfully, all of that is set to change with tonight's action-packed midseason finale.Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) has been one of the most dynamic characters on 'The Vampire Diaries' thus far, evolving from misunderstood jock to angst-ridden lycanthrope to his new position as Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) right-hand hybrid over the course of three seasons. Where he'll end up next is anyone's guess, but according to Trevino, it's sure to be a compelling ride.
We caught up with the actor to get the scoop on Tyler and Caroline, his new bromance with Klaus and what fans can expect when 'TVD' returns from its two-month hiatus in January.

Shannon Refuses to Model in Underwear on 'America's Next Top Model' -- Again! (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 10th 2011 2:00AM
When Shannon decided to make a stand against modeling in underwear for the second time this season, shoot director Jay Manuel was prepared to support that decision on 'America's Next Top Model' (Wed., 9PM ET on The CW). But considering she was willing to wear skimpy swimwear and dress in revealing clothes, he was still struggling to understand it."I would love to understand the message," he told her, but explaining it proved more than she could handle.
"It just comes down to underwear-- If you go-- It's just kind of different," she sputtered out, leaving him more confused than ever.
Vinny From 'Jersey Shore' Is a Bad Boy in Sin City on '90210' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 5:30AM
Vinny Guadagnino was a continent away from 'Jersey Shore,' when he guest-starred as a representative of all the sin that Sin City has to offer on '90210' (Tue., 8PM ET on The CW). While he manages to lure Liam into a very intense game of poker. In fact, Liam quickly loses nearly all of his money. But then he takes a big gamble by going all in on one hand. Vinny backs down and we never even get to see if Liam was bluffing or not, but the bottom line was that he won back the money he'd lost and was smart enough to walk away before he was down again.

['Gossip Girl' - 'I Am Number Nine']After a two week break, 'Gossip Girl' was most assuredly back with a bang last night, bringing all of our favorite Upper East Siders (and their enunciation-challenged significant others) to one scandalous shindig, where sparks began flying before the coats were even checked.
Louis and Eliza's nefarious scheme was revealed, Nate got more than his fair share of action, Serena hit a new career low and Dan became a literary has-been in the space of a week. And that's not even touching on Blair's grueling bridesmaid competition -- Pippa Middleton made it all look so easy!

After years of producing similar angst-ridden teen dramas, The CW is heading in a slightly different direction with its new time traveling musical project. The network has bought the rights to 'Danny Hollywood,' an hour-long project based on the successful Israeli half-hour series of the same name, according to a report in Deadline.
The adaptation already has some big names behind it. 'Easy A' writer Bert V Royal is currently writing the American version, and is also executive producing the project with 'NCIS' star Mark Harmon, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and Martha Haight.
'Nikita' Season 2, Episode 7 Recap
by Laura Prudom, posted Nov 4th 2011 11:45PM
['Nikita' - 'Clawback']It feels a little like critical laziness when I find myself heaping praise on 'Nikita' week after week, but I'm not being hyperbolic when I say that 'Clawback' may have just replaced last season's Kasim episodes as my favorite of the series to date.
The plot was densely packed and yet maintained an energetic pace that kept me guessing, and the episode was replete with important character development to drive the emotional story forward right alongside the narrative.
And as for that twist ... midway through the episode, I wanted to hurl my laptop across the room in outrage, before the eleventh-hour reveal had me thanking the capricious televisual gods for their mercy.
EXCLUSIVE First Look: Billy Ray Cyrus Visits '90210'
by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 4th 2011 11:00AM
'90210' is headed to Sin City, and we've got the exclusive first look at guest star Billy Ray Cyrus.Next week's episode, titled 'Vegas, Maybe?' (Tues., Nov. 8, 8PM ET on The CW), finds Naomi going all the way to Las Vegas to try to impress Austin's (Justin Deeley) dad, country music superstar Judd Ridge, played by Cyrus.
Also guest starring: 'Jersey Shore' roommate Vinny Guadagnino, who's not playing himself but rather another "celebrity" the guys meet at the pool.
And it sounds like Vegas gets everyone in the mood to gamble a bit, with Liam joining a celebrity poker tournament and Dixon and Adrianna's flirtation growing even stronger. (Ugh.) However, the biggest wow moment goes to Teddy (departing series star Trevor Donovan), who may or may not be going to the chapel to tie the knot with boyfriend Shane.

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 3, Episode 8 Recap (VIDEO)
by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 3rd 2011 11:10PM
['The Vampire Diaries' -- 'Ordinary People']I honestly can't remember the last time a single hour of television had so many twists and turns -- and made me feel so many different emotions -- than this week's episode of 'The Vampire Diaries.' And for a few minutes, I even started to sympathize with Klaus. That's right, those pesky 'TVD' writers made me feel bad for Klaus. Klaus?!
Did I mention that we finally learned how vampires came to be? But that wasn't it. We also uncovered some pretty big secrets. Mikael, the vampire vampire hunter, is actually Papa Klaus and one of the Originals. And Mama Klaus? In an exciting twist, it turns out that she was the Original witch, and she's the one responsible for turning her family into vampires -- and believe me, it wasn't pretty. Of course, this means that it's Original Esther Klaus who's on the other side trying to stir up trouble with Vicki.
See, I told you this episode was amazing. In fact, it just may rank as one of my favorite 'TVD' episodes ever.

'The Vampire Diaries' is flashing back again! This episode finds Rebekah revealing a few ancient secrets about the Original family. But will the revelations keep Rebekah from getting into an all-out brawl with Elena (Nina Dobrev)? There's some serious 'Mean Girls' stuff going on here, and we're sort of loving it.
Take a look at our behind-the-scenes photos (which include a horse and some kind of wolf-dog roaming around in the background) after the jump.
