by Chris Harnick, posted Jul 12th 2010 9:50AM
The GladesWhat do you do if you suspect your superior of murder? If you're Jim on 'The Glades' (Sun., 10PM on AETV), you secretly investigate him.

Now, Jim's partner didn't like all the pressure ans subtle hints that were being dropped so he pulled a gun.

"You pulled my wife's dental records without telling me," Jim's partner said. "What kind of cop looks into his partner without telling him?"

"Your wife was missing, well that and your shoes," Jim said. It all came down to the shoes, they were all over the crime scene.

'The Glades' Set Visit: Not Just Another Cop Drama

by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 9th 2010 2:00PM

In the fictional town of Palm Glade -- a town on the edge of the Florida Everglades within driving distance of the glitzy Gold Coast -- the heat is on. But it's not just car chases and glass towers overlooking azure waters; 'The Glades' is Florida in a more realistic and gritty style, with dead bodies surfacing to get Detective Jim Longworth off the golf course and deep into solving the whodunit.

This guy, played by Australian actor Matt Passmore ('Underbelly'), can best be described as a modern day, shaggy-haired, pain-in-the-ass, annoyingly overconfident Sherlock Holmes ... And did I mention he's hot?

On Sun., July 11, at 10PM ET, 'The Glades' premieres on A&E. For a behind the scenes look at the making of the show, as well as more on Matt and company, read on.

Is Tuesday 10PM the New Thursday 9PM?

by Jane Boursaw, posted Apr 27th 2010 10:01AM
Rescue Me, Denis LearySummer TV programming used to be a wasteland of reruns, reruns and more reruns. Seasons ran from September to May, and that's the way it was and we liked it! OK, we didn't really like it, but it got all the kids outside for the summer. But no more of that nonsense. We'll keep 'em glued to the tube year-round now.

Cable networks have been launching new and returning shows in the summer, and it makes sense, because they don't have the tough competition from the broadcast networks. Along with that, though, are seriously competitive timeslots, especially Tuesday at 10PM. If we didn't know better, we'd think it was Thursday at 9PM. You know, 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'The Office,' 'CSI,' 'Fringe,' and 'Supernatural,' among others. That's some serious competition.
