Pierce Brosnan and Craig Ferguson Talk James Bond's Body Hair (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 5:00AM
With Pierce Brosnan on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), the conversation inevitably turned to James Bond, which he portrayed from 1995 to 2002.Despite saying that he virtually jumped from television series 'Remington Steele' to Bond -- when apparently Geoff fell in love with him -- it was an eight-year gap during which he starred in several films.
But it always comes back to Bond. Craig Ferguson noted that current Bond Daniel Craig has no body hair, and wondered how that works for the secret agent. "I don't know where you keep your secret documents and stuff if you don't have at least some hair," he said. "Sean Connery was covered in hair."
Trace Adkins Calls Craig Ferguson's Kids 'Ugly Young 'uns' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 8th 2011 5:00AM
Maybe it's because Trace Adkins is surrounded by women in his household, but he was a little brutal toward Craig Ferguson's boys on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). Upon seeing a picture of them he said, "That's some ugly young'uns."He turned it around to Ferguson, though, saying that they looked just like their father. "I'll be sure to pass on your opinion to my wife," Ferguson said.
Adkins then admitted that it took until his second grandchild to get a boy in the house. He has five daughters ranging in age from 26 to 7. "He's completely worthless," Adkins said of his grandson. "He doesn't help me at all ... He needs to step it up."
Valerie Bertinelli Refuses to Spank Craig Ferguson (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 7th 2011 4:30AM
Valerie Bertinelli may be a good girl, but that's hard to maintain when you go on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). Craig Ferguson is very, very bad and he likes to bring out the bad in all of his guests. So when Bertinelli suggested he should come on her show, 'Hot in Cleveland,' he immediately turned around and presented himself to her for a spanking. Why? Who knows. Or maybe because he knows it will get responses like this: "I'll have you know that's not the first a** I've had in my face."
While Bertinelli tried valiantly to change the subject, it simply wasn't going to happen. "Here we are again," Ferguson said. "You discussing your sexual history on the show in a candid and completely forthright manner with the viewers."
Republicans Hate 'Jersey Shore,' Love 'The Bachelor'
by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 6th 2011 2:30PM
Snooki's poof apparently doesn't work its magic on Republicans.A new study by Experian-Simmons found conservative-leaning viewers tend to favor reality programming like 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'The Bachelor,' 'The Biggest Loser,' 'MythBusters,' but one exception to that trend was 'Jersey Shore.' Also among GOP favorites is the History Channel's block of programming: 'Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy,' 'American Pickers,' and 'Swamp People.'
Two other popular liberal shows, 'Glee' and 'Modern Family,' topped the conservative list last year, but are no longer two of the favorite shows among Republican viewers, according to EW. They did, however, still rank high with those on the more liberal end of the political spectrum.
Justin Long's Vegas Cabbie Took Fares to Have Sex With Her Grandma (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 6th 2011 5:30AM
The cab drivers in New York may be the most famous in the world, but Justin Long had a story on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:35AM ET on CBS) that put at least one Las Vegas cab driver on the map. That said, we're not particularly recommending her destination. In the story Long was drinking though, so should we take his tale with a grain of salt? According to him, the female driver shared with him that she often takes her fares to go and have sex with her grandmother.
Her grandmother is 92-years old. Long didn't specify if he was given the offer to go and meet the woman, but neither did he offer much more in the way of details. This is the kind of tale for which there are many questions.
Kristin Chenoweth on Her Weird Blind Date Experience on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 2nd 2011 4:30AM
It sounded like the problem with Kristin Chenoweth's blind date had a lot more to do with the guy's behavior than the fact that he wasn't as cute as Geoff on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). He had a "great" idea for a fun prank to play on the mutual friends they were going with, but it's the kind of prank you really only should suggest to someone you've been with for a while. Certainly not a first date kind of stunt. His idea was to pass cute notes back and forth, culminating in him asking Chenoweth to take off her panties and give them to him. Then, when she does they adorably have "I Love" and then his name on them. Funny stuff, right? Well, Chenoweth wasn't down with that.
Margaret Cho Says She's Like Susan Boyle With Dirty Songs on Ferguson (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 30th 2011 4:30AM
In talking about her latest project, Margaret Cho admitted that it's a mix of stand-up comedy and original songs on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:30AM ET on CBS). Craig Ferguson was surprised to hear that she did songs, as she's not well known for that."I have a really good singing voice," Cho said. "I mean, people don't expect it to come out of my face. I'm a lot like Susan Boyle that way."
She went on to explain, though, that her songs were far too dirty to broadcast on television, which only made Ferguson want to hear them even more. Maybe Ferguson needs to do an 'Craig Ferguson After Dark' series on Showtime that can show uncensored footage from the show, and could feature original music by Margaret Cho.
Craig Ferguson and Aisha Tyler Talk Porn and Barbara Walters (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 29th 2011 5:30AM
As soon as Aisha Tyler declared that porn was upsetting and she'd rather move on to another topic, you knew they were going to be talking porn on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS).Craig Ferguson said that his biggest issue with porn is in the framing. "I don't think you're meant to see it that close," he said.
But when Tyler suggested they use the soft-texture overlay you tend to see on Barbara Walters interview specials, Ferguson took off in another direction. "Barbara Walters porn!" he shouted. "I'd pay to see that!"
Wilford Brimley is a Tough Interview For Craig Ferguson (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 24th 2011 3:00AM
Craig Ferguson loves playful banter with his guests. And he and Geoff have had a lot of fun doing their Wilford Brimley impressions on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), so it should have been a lot of fun to have the mustachioed one on himself.Unfortunately, the 77-year old actor was very short in most of his responses, leaving little room for banter. When asked what kind of horse he had, Brimley's curt response was, "A brown one."
He did reveal that he doesn't like people, which is why he's living in Wyoming. You know, '60 Minutes' has an opening for an old curmudgeon, and Brimley's mustache is at least as long as Andy Rooney's eyebrows were.
Jason Segel Talks About His Own Muppet, Makes Innuendos on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 23rd 2011 5:00AM
Not only was Jason Segel honored and so thrilled to be a part of the revival of the Muppets as film stars, but he got another honor perhaps even more special that he talked about on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET On CBS).But as quickly as we were excited for him at having a Muppet of himself made and gifted to him, it quickly took a dark turn.
"there is something very strange and very awesome about me operating a puppet of myself alone in my apartment," Segel said.
Robin Williams + Chlamydia = Funny to Craig Ferguson (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 22nd 2011 4:00AM
It's always entertaining when Robin Williams is doing his thing on a late night talk show, but there was perhaps no one more entertained than host Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). Ferguson was telling a story about a sign he saw in a Scottish bar warning people about chlamydia. At this, Williams erupted from his seat and shouted in a thick Scottish accent, "Chlamydia, your dad's here! He parked the van out back."
That was all it took for Ferguson to completely lose his composure. He so couldn't believe what he'd just heard that he had to confirm Williams said what he thought. "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard," he laughed. Stupid funny, perhaps, based on that reaction.
Robin Williams and Craig Ferguson Talk Offending With Comedy (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 18th 2011 4:15AM
Robin Williams and Craig Ferguson both know a thing or two about offending people. In this modern era of instant Internet feedback, it seems it's getting harder and harder to not offend people. Which is why, according to Ferguson 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), you stick with Nazi jokes.Williams modified that claim, though, with one caveat. It doesn't work if you're in Germany, as he found out first-hand. On a talk show, he was asked why he thought there aren't as many comedians in Germany.
"Did you ever think you tried to kill all the funny people?" he replied. The answer was not received with laughter.
Ferguson Tricks Alex Kingston Into Being Dirty on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 6:00AM
Alex Kingston may not have realized it, but she laid down a challenge for Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). When he started asking her about rabbits and flowers in the lewd context, she insisted she couldn't answer him."My daughter's teachers are all watching this show tonight, so I can't tell you," she said. But that just told Ferguson he had to trick her into getting dirty, if she wasn't going to play along willingly. So he brought out the harmonica.
"Have a blow at that," he offered, to which she responded, "I blowed that last time." Mission accomplished.
Ewan McGregor Plays With the Camera, Swears Like Crazy on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 4:15AM
Ewan McGregor was pretty excited to be in Craig Ferguson's "basement" studio on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). He wanted to check out the different areas, including the camera that Ferguson always smacks and pushes around. But it was when Ferguson showed him a fun little self-censoring trick that McGregor really let loose and had some fun for the studio audience. It was fun for them, because they got to hear what he said.
Poppy Montgomery Laughs Through Explaining CBS' Nudity Policy (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 15th 2011 5:00AM
Poppy Montgomery went the long way around to the simpler explanation on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She was trying to explain to Craig Ferguson the nudity policy on CBS.But instead of focusing on what could be shown on the network, she started detailing everything that's forbidden. She also couldn't keep it together, bursting out laughing constantly during the discussion. She was kind of asking for Ferguson to lay into her a bit with the jokes when she rhymed crack and sack at one point as forbidden.
