by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 7th 2011 2:45AM
Jack Black, Owen Wilson & Steve Martin, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Owen Wilson, Steve Martin and Jack Black were all guests on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) at the same time to promote their upcoming comedy, 'The Big Year.' But when you have three big stars sharing face-time on the same late nigh talk show, how do you determine who sits next to Jay Leno?

According to the guys, they hashed this out with their lawyers for two weeks prior to this appearance. While Owen Wilson was telling a story about working with Martin, an alarm went off and the three men got up and shifted seats. Leno had no idea what was happening, but it was their way to ensure equal time in the chair. Isn't fairness great?!

Gary Busey Crashes 'Tonight Show' to Ask Why He's Not a Guest More Often (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 6th 2011 4:45AM
Gary Busey, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'"When are you gonna have Gary Busey back on the show?" the strange bearded man from the audience asked Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). "He's an amazing guest."

But Gary Busey's brilliant disguise was no match for Leno's brutal interrogation methods. "What is your name, sir?" he asked.

"Gary Busey," Busey replied immediately, and then began cursing himself. He then charged the stage and got dragged out of the studio by security. He's right! Busey's definitely entertaining, but he's almost more fun out of the box like this than as a proper guest.

Kris Humphries Wasn't Sure He Wanted to Date Kim Kardashian (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 5th 2011 5:15AM
Kris Humphries & Kim Kardashian, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Mr. Kim Kardashian, a.k.a. Kris Humphries, almost got himself into a little bit with his new bride on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). Jay Leno had asked how the two of them initially got together, and Humphries was relating the story.

He admitted that when he first found out Kim Kardashian was interested in getting to know him better, he was hesitant. His initial reaction to the friend who told him was, "I don't know."

At this Kardashian told Humphries to be careful what he said next with a glint in her eye. Apparently, Humphries just puts it out there and is totally honest. It'll take time for him to learn how to become a professional reality television star, Kim.

Evangeline Lilly Admits to Farting in a Passenger's Face as a Flight Attendant (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 4th 2011 4:15AM
Evangeline Lilly, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'If you are one of those people who likes to maintain a healthy fantasy about certain celebrity women, elevating them to near perfection in your imaginings, you might not want to watch this clip of Evangeline Lilly on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

But if you like a woman who keeps it real, Lilly does just that when talking about her time as a flight attendant. Particularly, in appreciating the power that flight attendants have over your experience, and how they can use it for good ... or bad.

In her case, she had a guy she described as "really awful to me." To his misfortune, she also happened to be unusually gassy that day as well, so she decided to solve two problems with one move.

Albert Brooks Thought He Killed a Guy on the Set of 'Drive' (VIDEO)

Albert Brooks, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Acting is way tougher than we imagined. On 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Albert Brooks talked about an experience he had with a choking scene that makes us question the authenticity of every violent scene we see on the screen.

Everyone from the director to the actor he was working with him was pushing him to choke the guy harder. "Choke me, man," the guy insisted. So Brooks did.

He did until the guy literally passed out, and according to Brooks, genuinely stopped breathing. Talk about authenticity in Hollywood!

Kaley Cuoco Talks About Dating a Hoarder, on 'The Tonight Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 30th 2011 3:45AM
Kaley Cuoco, 'Late Show with David Letterman'Kaley Cuoco had the kernel of a great story on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), but it kind of fell apart on her. It started off great. Any time you say, "I walk in and he was a hoarder," you've got our attention.

It's interesting that the guy she was dating invited her in so casually, though, as most hoarders seem embarrassed about their home situation and tend to avoid letting people in.

Then she said she was going to tell us why it was bad to make out with a hoarder on their couch. We imagined piles falling on her, or rodents coming out of the couch, but no.

Deena From 'Jersey Shore' Does Jersey Turnpike With Ed Helms (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 3:15AM
Ed Helms & Deena Cortese, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Jay Leno knew exactly what a Jersey Turnpike was when he asked Deena Cortese about it on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). He just wanted to hear the 'Jersey Shore' cast member explain the dance move.

When she stumbled around to find the words, he suggested she just go ahead and show him. Luckily for him -- or not, depending on your perspective -- Ed Helms was the first guest, and he was still on the couch, so Deena invited him to dance with her.

The move required very little from him. He simply stood there, while she backed up into him and shook her butt. "That's a Jersey Turnpike?" Helms marveled when it was over. "I had another name for that."

Seth MacFarlane Calls Leno's Boss As Stewie Griffin With a List of Demands (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 28th 2011 4:30AM
Seth MacFarlane, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'After helping 'The Voice' become a huge hit for NBC, Paul Telegdy was promoted to president of alternative and late-night programming early this month. This put him over 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), which gave guest Seth MacFarlane an idea.

He called up Telegdy as Stewie Griffin with a list of demands on behalf of the network's "number one talent," Jay Leno.

"Jay would like a handicapped parking pass, and I think he genuinely qualifies because of the jaw situation," MacFarlane said. Other demands included car-on-car porn and for Telegdy to convince more newspapers to flub their headlines.

To Telegdy's credit, he hung in through the whole bit and even got in a few jokes himself, like finding it hard to argue with classifying Leno as handicapped due to his chin.

Ryan Gosling Fell in Love With Motorcycles After Witnessing an Accident (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2011 4:45AM
Ryan Gosling, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Ryan Gosling may have the most unusual story behind his love for motorcycles. We're sure Jay Leno was expecting something about a relative having one, or him going to a bike show when he was little, or maybe he even a girlfriend with one. But nobody could have anticipated what he shared on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Gosling hesitated a bit before talking, as if he wasn't sure himself that he wanted to tell the story. It's so bizarre, he's not even sure about it and it's his story.

While he was a child, it was a motorcycle accident that drew his attention.

Jamie Foxx Tries to Teach Leno Some of Michael Jackson's Moves (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 23rd 2011 3:30AM
Jamie Foxx, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Jamie Foxx never got to meet Michael Jackson face-to-face, but he did get to see The Jacksons perform back in 1983. It was there that he learned the full power of Michael's presence, as he mentioned on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

"He's the only man to make other grown men faint," Foxx marveled. He then showed Jay Leno how the fainting went down, but it was a bit later when he decided to try and show Leno how to do some of Jackson's patented moves that we were intrigued.

Jay Leno is many things, but a dancer as cool as Michael Jackson he is most definitely not. Foxx took him through the moonwalk, and even tried to get the host to tackle Jackson's patented crotch grab, which was as uncomfortable to watch as you'd imagine.

Amy Poehler Talks Genesis of Emmys Beauty Pageant on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 22nd 2011 4:45AM
Amy Poehler, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'One of the more memorable moments in this year's Emmy broadcast was when the nominees for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series all came up on stage as their names were announced, to put on a faux beauty pageant. Amy Poehler talked about the genesis of that idea on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

It came to light when she and fellow nominee Martha Plimpton were having dinner and remembering when the Emmys was a looser and more unpredictable event. Particularly, she remembered the year that Chevy Chase, Tim Conway and Harvey Corman did much the same thing, storming the stage as their names were called.

Major Flirting With Gerard Butler and Whitney Cummings on 'Tonight Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 21st 2011 3:45AM
Gerard Butler & Whitney Cummings, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'The sexual tension hanging in the air during Whitney Cummings' interview on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) was so thick that Jay Leno could barely fight his way through it to get a word in edgewise.

It's all Gerard Butler's fault for choosing to stick around for Commings' interview. She immediately perched on his lap and asked if she could do the interview from there. The pair went back and forth cracking jokes about erections, sitting on faces and more before Cummings had to lay down the law.

"Do not fall in love with me," she declared, only to find out that it was too late.

Simon Cowell Compares Paula Abdul to a Lost Dog in the Pound (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 20th 2011 3:45AM
Simon Cowell, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'With Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul reunited on 'The X Factor' this fall, it must have been time to dust off the old rumors connecting the pair romantically, because that's exactly what Jay Leno did on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Cowell answered as he did the last time this came up, reiterating that the pair only kissed that one time for a silly video shoot during one of the early seasons of 'American Idol.' He did, however, make sure to mention that she wanted to do multiple retakes.

He is constantly giving her grief, after all. Cowell then went on to compare Abdul to a family's lost dog in the pound, equating the dog's excitement at seeing its family again to how Abdul reacted upon seeing him for this new venture. It's as if they never left our television screens.

Charlie Sheen Admits He Was Out of Control: 'I Would Have Fired My A**!' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 16th 2011 4:30AM
Charlie Sheen, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Maybe it's because we're on the virtual eve of the new season of 'Two and a Half Men,' and he's no longer a part of it, but a more reflective Charlie Sheen appeared on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Sheen admitted he had been out of control, and it's only when he started losing everything that it started to sink in. "I thought I could come back, you know," he said. "Kind of like you did."

"Well at least one of us got their job back," Jay Leno said, adding Sheen's catchphrase, "Winning!"

When Leno asked if he was still angry at CBS or anyone over there for what went down, Sheen responded immediately, "No, no. I'd have fired my a**, too."

Jane Lynch Tells 'The Tonight Show' About Hosting the Emmys (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 15th 2011 4:30AM
Jane Lynch, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'A producer suggested to Jane Lynch that she not insult anyone when she hosts the Emmys this week, according to a story she told on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). We can't help but wonder if this producer was still hurt by Ricky Gervais' Golden Globes hosting gig.

Add that sensitivity to Lynch's 'Glee' character and her penchant for slinging insults, and you've got the recipe for hurt feelings, apparently.

"It's easy to go snarky, And I get that. So I am going to rip these people apart!" she said, before quickly adding, "No I'm not."
