by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 3:56AM
Bob Harper, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Bob Harper revealed a secret on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), when he told a story he'd never told to anyone before. It involved him participating in a nude photo shoot for 'Playboy' magazine.

Years ago, in anticipation of her photo spread in 'Playboy,' Jenny McCarthy called up her favorite trainer and asked him to pose in the photos with her. According to Harper, she told him she needed a man in the photos and she wanted it to be him.

After some convincing, she got him to show up, but he refused to strip beyond his boxer shorts. Hilariously, when Leno showed the photos, all you could see of Harper was his arm in one shot, or his back and part of one leg in another. He's the ultimate extra!

Christina Applegate Keeps Interrupting DJ Pauly D's Interview (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 13th 2011 3:36AM
Christina Applegate & DJ Pauly D, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Usually, when the first guest slides down to the couch on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) to make room for the next guest, they keep to themselves. They may occasionally chime in with some banter, but Pauly D wasn't prepared for Christina Applegate.

While Jay Leno was talking to the 'Jersey Shore' star about working an event for Kim Kardashian, he kept insinuating that Kim and Pauly had a relationship that went beyond professional.

"Now is that still going on with the new husband?" Leno asked, implying a sexual relationship.

"She's my friend. She's a really cool girl; the whole family," Pauly said, and then Applegate's voice could be heard abruptly saying, "Yeah, right."

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 5:16AM
Will Arnett, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Will Arnett is nominated for an Emmy, but he's in a tough category this year. When Jay Leno ran down the list of his competitors, Arnett seemed to get less and less confident in his chances on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

Even the audience seemed to turn away from him by the time Leno got to Nathan Lane. The category is Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, and he's facing Lane, Zach Galifianakis, Matt Damon and Justin Timberlake.

He was confident when Leno struggled with Galifianakis' name and was still ready when Damon's name came up.

Chris Colfer Tells Leno That He's Staying With 'Glee' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 3:59AM
Chris Colfer, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Chris Colfer admitted to becoming quite deft at avoiding the question about what's going on with his character on 'Glee.' He even tried to do it again when Jay Leno asked him the question on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), but it didn't work out so well.

"You guys were leaving, and then no you're getting a TV spinoff, and then you're staying. So what's happening?" Leno asked.

"The truth is people forget that 'Glee' is still a TV show," Colfer said, immediately launching into a deflection from the point. He stayed on this topic for awhile. "We just have to survive Season 3 first before we can worry about it," he said, and then immediately dropped the teaser, "Little did I know that I would be in the hospital, literally the first week back filming."

Wanda Sykes Didn't Like 'The Help,' Thought It Was Too Happy (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 7th 2011 5:17AM
Wanda Sykes, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno''The Help' has been getting solid reviews from critics across the nation, and Jay Leno said "it was fantastic." But Wanda Sykes had a very different opinion of the film on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC).

"It stunk," she said bluntly.

When pressed for more details, Sykes explained, "They're just way too happy for 1960s Mississippi."

The movie also made her uncomfortable now as a parent, because her babies are white. The film looks at the racism experienced by black maids who work for white families.

"I'm cooking the chicken and I just look at 'em like, 'Look at them white babies'," she said. "They think I'm supposed to be over here frying this chicken."

Heidi Klum Talks Tan Lines, Getting in Trouble for Tanning Topless (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 2nd 2011 5:05AM
Heidi Klum, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Heidi Klum is German, and thus has the more lax European attitude to nudity and topless-ness in particular. When Jay Leno started showing pictures of her vacationing in a bikini on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), Klum was surprised he had pictures of her wearing a bikini top.

"I don't like to wear tops because I hate tan lines," she said. This attitude got her in trouble in the United States, though, at a public pool in Phoenix.

Security came up to her sunbathing topless and told her she had to put her top back on due to complaints. Apparently she did so only briefly because "I thought that that was really ridiculous," she said.

Jeff Bridges & Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'When she tried to make her scent smell like pickles, Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi said that it wound up smelling awful on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). So she went with a more unique smell that would instead capture the essence of who she says she is.

"I wanted it flirty and bubbly like my personality, and obviously something DTF," she said. That should be an easy scent to pinpoint.

Now her statement makes perfect sense to fans of Polizzi and 'Jersey Shore,' but Jeff Bridges had no idea what she was talking about. After getting assurances from Jay Leno that she could say it on the air, Polizzi explained it means "down to f***."

David Koechner Challenges Jay Leno to a 'Rasslin' Match (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 30th 2011 4:37AM
David Koechner, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'David Koechner should have just talked about his movie the way Jay Leno wanted to on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). When Leno's hand got a little too close to Koechner, he asked if the host was trying to hit him.

"When was the last time you got in a fight on this show?" Koechner asked him. "Do you wanna rassle me?"

Since Koechner clearly wasn't going to talk about the movie, Leno agreed and they cleared out the area in front of the desk. Then, Leno immediately went in low and managed to pick up Koechner, carrying him on his back as he threw to commercial and Koechner tapped out.

Let's just say that things got ... messy.

Jeremy Piven Gets 'Tonight Show' Page He Pranked an 'Entourage' Cameo (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 4th 2011 9:30AM
Jeremy Piven, 'The Tonight Show'The last time Jeremy Piven appeared on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), he played a prank on one of the pages -- who did remind us a bit of Kenneth from '30 Rock' -- that had the poor guy standing in the hall terrified.

Piven pretended to have a full-blown Hollywood superstar tantrum about there being sushi in his dressing room. But afterward he felt bad about it, so he decided to help the guy out with his dreams of being in show business.

He pulled some strings down at 'Entourage' and managed to get the guy a part on the show, and it is definitely something to see. Jay Leno managed to squeeze in the page's entire scene during 'The Tonight Show,' with an arrow to help us identify him. Taking Hollywood by storm, this guy!

Leno Talks Katie Holmes' Zip Line Fear, Tom Cruise Would Have Loved It (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 3rd 2011 5:33AM
Katie Holmes, 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'Sometimes there are some great perks when filming a movie. During shooting for 'Jack & Jill,' Katie Holmes got to spend some time on an amazing luxury cruise ship. She told Jay Leno on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC) all about the carousel, theater, skating rink and zip lines.

"It was kind of the best ten days," she said. "I was like, 'Really? Do we have to leave?'"

But when asked, she did not take advantage of the zip line. She made up some stuff about not wanting to fall on the pretty umbrella at Johnny Rockets -- also on the ship -- but Leno called her out on the truth. "You wimped out," he said.
