Since the first season wrapped, we've been craving more 'The Walking Dead' as much as zombies hunger for brains! Thankfully, AMC has heard our cries and released this first image from 'The Walking Dead' Season 2, now in production.

There's no official release date, just "the fall," but October is a pretty good guess, especially given how well the first season did.

Season 2 will have 13 new episodes, up from Season 1's six.

Along with the image, AMC released this statement from Frank Darabont, executive producer/writer/director of 'The Walking Dead':

"At this moment, I'm standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It's great to be shooting again. I think we've embarked on a great season."
