The Kardashians Make Barbara Walters' 'Most Fascinating People of 2011'

by Crystal Bell, posted Nov 30th 2011 12:40PM
the kardashians It's that time of the year again. Seasonal snow is on its way and the holiday lights are making their big debut, but most importantly, it's time for Barbara Walters to unveil her annual 10 Most Fascinating People list.

And it looks like the first family of reality TV -- the Kardashians -- made the cut. The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' stars Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian and sisters Kourtney and Khloe all made Walters' list.

After raking in a reported $65 million in 2010, launching a new clothing line for Sears, airing a four-hour wedding special, having one of the most talked about divorce scandals of the year and making headlines on a daily basis, it looks like the Kardashians not only fascinate Walters, but they also fascinate the public.

The Kardashians will have a bit of reality TV company. Music mogul and 'The X Factor' judge Simon Cowell made the list, as well as businessman -- and 'The Apprentice' star -- Donald Trump.

It's been a roller-coaster ride of a season, full of twists, turns and tons of freak-outs. But it all came to an end last night, with Donald Trump crowning this year's 'Celebrity Apprentice' on the season finale.

The competition started with 16 stars, and Trump knocked them off one by one until it there were just two: John Rich and Marlee Matlin. It was a showdown that pitted the country star against the movie star, ending a record-breaking season that raised more than $3 million for charity.

But there can only be one ... Celebrity Apprentice.

'The Celebrity Apprentice' Season Finale: And the Winner Is ... (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 23rd 2011 2:48AM
Donald Trump, 'Celebrity Apprentice'After a long and memorable season of 'The Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 9PM ET on NBC) it came down to just two. Either Marlee Matlin or John Rich would be fired by Donald Trump, with the other becoming the fourth celebrity winner in the most popular format of the reality staple.

Except, The Donald decided to do something a little differently this time around. Rather than fire one of them, he simply declared a winner. Was this a statement as to how much he respected the person who came in second, or just him trying something new?

Of Matlin, Trump said: "You've raised more money than anybody in a single night, over a million dollars. The job you've done is just absolutely incredible." Of Rich, he said, "From the beginning you've been a leader. You've been strong. You've been smart. You've been sharp. I just can't ask for anything more."

Donald Trump: I Will Not Run For President

by Catherine Lawson, posted May 16th 2011 8:10AM
Donald TrumpUPDATE May 16: Donald Trump told audiences at NBC's 2011 Upfront Presentations that he will not run for president.

If Donald Trump does throw decide his hat into the ring as an official 2012 Presidential candidate, he'll lose his place at the 'Apprentice' boardroom table. NBC President Bob Greenblatt has announced that the show will go on without Trump at the helm.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Greenblatt said that, although the network hopes to have Trump back for the next season, "If he decides to run and is unavailable to do the show, we will bring the show back and someone else will be sitting at the head of the board table."

However, Greenblatt wouldn't be drawn on who Trump's replacement could be. (Gary Busey, anyone?) "Who that is, we're not going to really entertain, because I'm still hoping we'll have Donald back in the seat."

['The Celebrity Apprentice' - 'Retro Rumble']

After three stars went home last week, it was down to the final four on 'The Celebrity Apprentice' -- and it was another jam-packed episode as two more hopefuls were sent packing just shy of the finale.

With John Rich, Marlee Matlin, Meat Loaf and Lil Jon still standing at the beginning of the episode, Donald Trump brought in past winners Bret Michaels, Joan Rivers and Piers Morgan to help him weed out the final two with an intensive interview process.

Double Firing Reveals the Top Two Contestants on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (VIDEO)

Final Four, 'Celebrity Apprentice'In the penultimate episode of 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 9PM ET on NBC), four would become the final two. To help him make this tough decision, Donald Trump brought back three recent winners.

Joan Rivers, Piers Morgan and Bret Michaels assisted by interviewing the final four and served as advisors to Trump in his biggest decision yet. In fact, he did the firings before the challenge, based almost entirely on their tips.

A key moment for one of this week's eliminated contestants in the interviews came when asked about who would make it into the finale.

"My three winners hated your answer when they asked you who should be in the finals and you didn't say yourself," Trump told this person before firing them. Who didn't believe in themself?

NeNe Leakes Tells Wendy Williams About Her Divorce, Liposuction, Quitting 'The Apprentice,' Possible New Show (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted May 12th 2011 5:25PM
NeNe Leakes has been busy lately: quitting 'The Celebrity Apprentice,' getting a divorce, and undergoing liposuction. She took a few minutes to talk about it all on 'Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated), offering as complete of an update on her life as one could want from a talk show.

Williams said she was upset with Leakes for quitting 'The Apprentice,' but Leakes was unapologetic. "I make my own decisions in life," she said. "Nobody tells me what to do." She also said that soon-to-be-former husband Gregg Leakes will get nothing from her in the divorce. Leakes added that she has enjoyed liposuction, but is afraid of Botox (Williams told her not to worry).

Williams also brought up the rumors that Leakes will soon have her own TV show. While Leakes said she doesn't yet know what the show would be about, let's assume we just saw a snapshot of it.

NeNe Leakes' Friends Say She Was Right to Quit 'Celebrity Apprentice'

by PopEater Staff, posted May 11th 2011 6:00AM
NeNe LeakesAfter weeks of battling with Star Jones, NeNe Leakes controversially walked out of 'The Celebrity Apprentice' Sunday night. Now, with celebrities and others lobbing the racist label at Donald Trump, NeNe's friends say that quitting the show in the shocking -- and low-rated -- episode, was a smart, principled move.

"Everything will ultimately work out for NeNe," said a friend of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' star. "In the long run she was much better off to quit and walk away than get a job with Donald Trump."

It should be noted that each celebrity is playing to raise money for their charity rather than get a job within Trump's organization. It should also be noted that the 'Celebrity Apprentice' we're seeing on Sundays was taped months ago, before The Donald's now-floundering bid for the White House and string of attacks on President Obama that many believe reek of racism.

NeNe Leakes Quits, LaToya Jackson Fired Again on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 9th 2011 8:00AM
Donald Trump, 'Celebrity Apprentice'It was a wild night on 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 8PM ET on NBC). In a three-hour episode, there were two Boardrooms and two firings to get through. LaToya Jackson had just returned to the competition last week, becoming the first contestant in the history of the franchise to ever be invited back.

She vowed to prove that she could be more impressive on the men's team, and so Trump placed her there. But before the show could even get to that point, Donald Trump decided to address the constant fighting between NeNe Leakes and Star Jones.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

So he split them up. Trump shifted NeNe over to the men's team and flipped Meat Loaf over to the women's side. Now Team Backbone had both Jackson and Leakes, and both teams were co-ed.

Team A.S.A.P., 'Celebrity Apprentice'It was a long night of 'Celebrity Apprentice' (Sun., 8PM ET on NBC). It looks like they basically smashed two episodes together into three hours, complete with two challenges for the teams and two Boardroom eliminations.

But, before they even got into any of it, Trump mixed up the teams to separate NeNe Leakes and Star Jones. Team Backbone, which had just picked up LaToya Jackson last week, got Leakes, while Team A.S.A.P. picked up Meat Loaf.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Unfortunately, the new team roster on A.S.A.P. did little to stop the constant bickering. Only now, instead of NeNe and Star going at each other, it was Meat Loaf and Star.

Gary Busey Calls 'Celebrity Apprentice' Teammates Backstabbers and Idiots (VIDEO)

Gary Busey, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'This past Sunday marked a sad day on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' It was the day that Gary Busey was fired, leaving Team Backbone with Meat Loaf, John Rich and Lil John. Busey went onto 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) and didn't mince words about his former teammates.

"But they turned out to be not Backbone," he said. "[But] backstabbers. When you see Lil John, John Rich and Meat Loaf, you know somewhere there's three villages missing their idiots."

Busey talked more about Meat Loaf's now-infamous screaming rampage, and how he "was laughing at him inside, but I was feeling sorry for him in my eyes."

The 'Celebrity Apprentice' Premiere Was a Ball of Crazy ... and Things Are Just Going to Get Crazier

by Joel Keller, posted Mar 7th 2011 2:30PM
If Donald Trump and Mark Burnett's aim in putting together the fourth 'Celebrity Apprentice' cast was to up the show's profile, then they've done a great job of it.

The cast is such a big ball of crazy that NBC's promos -- and Trump himself in interviews -- have been promoting that fact, emphasizing the screaming matches with Patsy Cline's classic song 'Crazy' as the soundtrack.

But from the first minute of the premiere, the nuttiness factor was amped up a few notches, and not just because Gary Busey talked in a language only Charlie Sheen could understand. By the end of the first task, the entire men's team -- Backbone -- already hated Richard Hatch, who was the project manager. And on the women's side, Lisa Rinna was already at odds with Star Jones, who was the project manager for the team, who called themselves ASAP.

As screwy as things got in the first week, things are only going to get worse, and there are a few glaring clues that this is going to be a heck of a ride:

Five Shows for the Bad Economy

'The Apprentice'Countdown to Festivus on Dec. 23: On the fifth day of Festivus, TV gave to us ... five shows for the bad economy.

Unless your name is Scrooge McDuck and you literally carry bags full of money everywhere, you've had to do some serious tightening of your purse strings recently. (Metaphorically speaking, of course, because we just established that you don't have an actual bag of cash.)

Television networks have been tapping into that collective thriftiness this year with seemingly countless shows about bargain-hunting, turning trash to treasure, and pawn shops. For some reason, there are lots and lots of shows about pawn shops. Here are five shows for the frugal viewer.

'The Apprentice' Season 10 Finale -- The Winner Is Revealed (VIDEO)

'The Apprentice' Season 10 Finale -- The Winner Is Revealed As we all know, each episode of 'The Apprentice' ends with the dreaded words "You're fired!" from Donald Trump. But once every season, we get to mix it up, as the most promising candidate is actually ... hired.

Tonight's finale (Thu., 8PM ET on NBC) came down to a choice between Brandy Kuentzel and Clint Robertson, the two survivors out of the sixteen original contestants. Clint and Brandy sat nervously in the wood-paneled boardroom, as "The Donald" glared down at them from his high-backed chair. The pair made their final pitches, and then Trump made his final pronouncement.

And the winner of 'The Apprentice' Season 10 was --
