by Catherine Lawson, posted Dec 7th 2011 4:45AM
'The Biggest Loser' marathonLast night's 'The Biggest Loser' had a twist in its tail. As promoted all season, all of the eliminated contestants returned to face off against the Final Four in a marathon. The winner of this race automatically earned a spot in the Finals, no matter when they were sent home.

Not only did they have to run a marathon ... this time it was in the desert. But at least there were cash prizes on offer for the first five finishers to help assuage the post-marathon agony. So who came out on top and made it to the Finals? And what twist did the producers have in store for the Final Four? !!SPOILER ALERT!!

Republicans Hate 'Jersey Shore,' Love 'The Bachelor'

by Chris Harnick, posted Dec 6th 2011 2:30PM
Democrat, Republican TV StudySnooki's poof apparently doesn't work its magic on Republicans.

A new study by Experian-Simmons found conservative-leaning viewers tend to favor reality programming like 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'The Bachelor,' 'The Biggest Loser,' 'MythBusters,' but one exception to that trend was 'Jersey Shore.' Also among GOP favorites is the History Channel's block of programming: 'Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy,' 'American Pickers,' and 'Swamp People.'

Two other popular liberal shows, 'Glee' and 'Modern Family,' topped the conservative list last year, but are no longer two of the favorite shows among Republican viewers, according to EW. They did, however, still rank high with those on the more liberal end of the political spectrum.

'Biggest Loser' Contestants Ramon Medeiros and Jessica Limpert Plan to Marry

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 30th 2011 8:35AM
Ramon MedeirosIt seems like 'The Biggest Loser' could teach 'The Bachelor(ette)' a thing or two about finding real love on a TV show. Earlier this week recently eliminated contestant Ramon Medeiros told Wendy Williams that his time on the show was well spent. He lost a ton of weight, inspired his family to get fit with him and fell in love with fellow 'Loser' Jessica Limpert.

Now, in a refreshing change from the big rings and flashy engagements of other reality TV stars, he's told 'People' magazine that the couple plan to wed, but not just yet.

"It is in the cards for Jess and I to get married," Medeiros said. "But it will be in the future. We're a new couple, and we're going to just get into the real world now. I want to take it a little slow. We're not going anywhere, so we're going to be together for a long, long time."

It's Makeover Week for Final Five on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 30th 2011 1:00AM
Jeannie Mai, 'The Biggest Loser'It's 'Makeover Week' on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), which must have almost broken the hearts of the producers. There just wasn't as much to do with these five contestants as we've seen in past seasons, leading to final products that weren't as breathtaking as previous years.

Nevertheless, they were clearly all having a good time shopping in Beverly Hills with stylist Jeannie Mai, who seemed as thrilled to meet them as they clearly didn't know who she was. Most importantly though, it's always exciting to see their new looks and how it makes them feel to be done over.

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 29th 2011 3:00PM
Ramon Medeiros may be the latest contestant eliminated from 'The Biggest Loser,' but his time on the show was well spent. He lost a ton of weight, inspired his family to get fit with him and fell in love with fellow contestant Jessica Limpert. Medeiros talked about all of the positive changes the weight-loss reality show fostered in his life on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox).

Medeiros told Wendy about how his personal weight-loss experience rubbed off on his family. "I've changed a lot of their habits as well ... my dad has currently lost 75 pounds ... and I'm taking my mom and sister to the 'Biggest Loser' resort in Fitness Ridge in Malibu ... It's a whole lifestyle change, not just a diet," he explained.

Gameplay Leads to Tense Elimination Vote on 'Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 23rd 2011 3:00AM
'The Biggest Loser'Every time, I seem to lose track of the number of contestants somewhere in the middle of each season of 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC). And then, all of a sudden there are only six or so people left in the house. That's where I found myself this week, surprised that it was so close to ending.

The contestants got to experience a little bit of Thanksgiving -- am I the only one who thinks of the absurdity of celebrating these holidays months in advance when the episodes were actually filmed? -- with a temptation challenge that promised three different prizes.

Anna Kournikova Leaving The Biggest LoserTennis star Anna Kournikova is leaving NBC's 'The Biggest Loser' after one season, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Kournikova joined the reality show as a trainer for Season 12, serving alongside long-time trainer Bob Harper. She was hired as a replacement for Jillian Michaels.

There have been rumors of Kournikova clashing with the staff behind the scenes and THR also reports contestants found her coaching to be too "brash."

At least one contestant took to Kournikova's coaching skills. After leaving the NBC series, contestant Joe Mitchell told People that the trainer helped "fix" him.

Jessica Limpert Talks Finding Love & Losing Weight on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 8th 2011 3:00PM
Jessica Limpert, the latest cast-off from 'The Biggest Loser,' stopped by 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated on Fox) to talk about her 69-pound weight-loss and relationship with fellow contestant Ramone Medeiros.

Limpert told Wendy that she went on the show for her health, not looking for love, but found a deep connection with Ramone that transcended superficial things.

"I was able to connect with him on a different level ... We're not outside in the real world dating, where you're showing off your good parts ... we're showing our bellies, and our fat, and our depression," she said. Wendy added that starting a relationship already well aware of your partner's "warts and all" might actually provide the foundation for a long-lasting relationship, a rare commodity on the reality TV circuit.

Emotions Run High When Anna Meets the New Blue Team on 'Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 3:30AM
Anna Kournikova, 'The Biggest Loser'One thing you learn quickly on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC) is that everything can change in an instant. Since the beginning, the contestants have been divided by age into three teams, training with the same trainer. And since the beginning, Bob Harper and the Black Team have dominated.

This week, all of that was poised to change when Alison orchestrated a mix-up of the contestants that would force most of them into groups with new trainers. Poor Anna, who's struggled this season with the oldest team, had the most reluctant new team, made up of former Black Team members Sunny and Joe, along with former Red Team member Ramon.

Contestants Prank Bob Harper on 'The Biggest Loser,' But it Backfires on Them (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 26th 2011 5:45AM
Bob Harper, 'The Biggest Loser'Halloween Week brought with it a theme of unity and a temptation of candy on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC). The ten remaining finalists were told they were competing as a single unit this week. If they could lose a combined 100 lbs, then no one would be going home.

As a temptation, a bucket filled with ten lbs of candy was hung in the kitchen. For every pound of it someone ate, they would earn a pound advantage on the scale. While none of them seemed to seriously consider eating the candy too much, they did come up with a way to unite in a prank against Bob -- only they may not have thought it all the way through.

Bob Harper Rides a Mechanical Bull on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

Bob Harper, 'The Biggest Loser'It was one of the craziest "challenges" in 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC) history. Those quotations are there because even though this was a potential game changer, it was left entirely up to chance. Basically, a game of Plinko put the fate of one team entirely in the hands of one person.

That person turned out to be Sunny, who won a week-long trip home. The bad news was that her weight was going to be the only weight that counted for the Black Team this week. The good news was that Bob Harper was going home with her, though that left the rest of the Black Team without a trainer.

Dolvett Gets Through to Courtney, Pushes Her Hard on 'Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 12th 2011 3:15AM
'The Biggest Loser' - 'Week Four'This week was about inspiration on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), and who better to inspire than past contestants. Season 11's Hannah showed up to cook and work out with Bob's team, Season 10's Adam climbed a mountain with the Red Team and their new leader Ramon, and Season 11's Marci was brought in to inspire Anna's Blue Team.

But it was all about achieving emotional milestones for two contestants. Joe broke down in guilt over how he used to sneak food and binge eat while on the road, while Dolvett took the time to dig into Courtney's psyche to see why she hates herself so much.

Tim Tebow One of Several NFL Stars This Week on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

Tim Tebow, 'The Biggest Loser'It was NFL Week on 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), which was especially difficult for the Black Team's Antone, a former NFL professional himself. They were joined in a challenge by Clay Matthews, Tony Gonzalez and Drew Brees, which was exciting in itself.

But then they got the opportunity to work out with a pro for their last chance workouts. Shawne Merriman worked out with the Black Team, Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson joined the 50+ Blue Team, and the Red Team were treated to Tim Tebow, who definitely got them fired up.

A Fight Threatens the Black Team's Unity on 'The Biggest Loser' (VIDEO)

'The Biggest Loser: Battle of the Ages' - 'Week Two'The battle of the ages continued in the second week of 'The Biggest Loser' (Tue., 8PM ET on NBC), but for the black team, it was a battle brewing from within. Maybe John got started with the alliances and gameplay a little early, but no matter what he was trying to accomplish, he got called out hard for calling Sunny dumb.

To her credit, the schoolteacher took Bob's advice right away and called a team meeting after their workout to confront John about this so-called alliance and his hurtful words. The black team has been on a tear in this early part of the season, coming in first in every challenge and the first weigh-in. They don't need emotional baggage tearing them apart.
