Jack Black and Nicole Kidman rock out in two of this week's must-see picks

The Golden Globes air tonight, so if you want to brush up on your awards history then you won't want to miss Jack Black's hilarious, Golden Globes-nominated performance in 'School of Rock.'

But that's not the only movie making music this week. 'Moulin Rouge!,' the Baz Luhrmann musical starring Ewan McGregor and an Oscar-nominated Nicole Kidman, airs this Thursday.

  • Malvin Wald: He is best known for writing the screenplay to The Naked City, which later became a TV series and pretty much spawned later police dramas such as NYPD Blue and Law and Order. He also wrote for The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, Daktari, Combat, Playhouse 90, and The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis. He died at age 90 in California.
