Reaper is finally on the CW's mid-season schedule
by Debra McDuffee, posted Dec 3rd 2008 8:28PM
I have to admit, I've been slightly obsessed with checking the mid-season replacement schedule over at The Futon Critic. You see, I've been waiting to find out when one of my favorite shows from last season, Reaper, would be coming back. Finally, I need wait no more: The CW has finally announced Reaper's timeslot, and it's not half bad. Or, I guess it is half bad, depending on how you look at it.
First things first: it's not on Friday night, which is something I feared because CW's schedule is so wide open on that night. So that's good, right?
On the 7th day of Fesitvus, TV gave to me

...Seven Sites Worth LinkingAh, the web is such a wonderful place, isn't it? There's just so many places to find the littlest pieces of information, it's a wonder that people can get any work done... ever.
But that's what's great about my job; I and my fellow Squadders get to use our finely-honed time-wasting skills to dig up links to TV-related stories that we think you folks would like to read. Of course, we go to the same big sites that everyone else goes to: Yahoo, IMDb, TVGuide, Google News, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, YouTube, etc. But there are other sites we like to read that have become reliable sources of information; some of them are blogs and some of them aren't. Here is a list of our favorites; just put this little gift under the Festivus pole and open when needed.
(Oh, and we were thinking of mentioning our buddy Wil Wheaton's blog... but you all are probably reading it already.)
Bryan Cranston and Jane Seymour to guest on How I Met Your Mother
by Joel Keller, posted Sep 26th 2006 1:05PM
Isn't it always interesting to learn who's going to guest star on your favorite show? I definitely like reading these press releases, mainly because I like hearing how some sort of high-profile guest is going to affect the chemistry of an established ensemble. It's especially important with sitcoms, because you never know if the guest's comic ability (if they have any) will mesh well with that of the show's cast. But I don't think I'm going to have anything to worry about when Jane Seymour and Bryan Cranston guest on the Oct. 25th episode of How I Met Your Mother. According to this press release, Seymour plays a law professor of Marshall's that Barney hits on to help his buddy get better grades, and Cranston plays Ted's crappy boss. Seeing these two veterans with the younger (but no less experienced) cast should make for a pretty funny episode.
