Craig Ferguson Teases Michael Clarke Duncan About 'Bones' Spin-Off (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 21st 2011 5:40AM
Michael Clarke Duncan on 'Late Late'On tonight's episode of 'Bones,' Michael Clarke Duncan will guest-star as Leo Knox, a legal adviser/bodyguard described as a "cowboy philosopher." If all goes according to plan, the appearance will jump-start a spin-off Fox series based on 'The Locator' books by Richard Greener.

When Duncan visited 'The Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), Craig Ferguson couldn't get past the idea of the character reciting poetry. "If you can solve crimes using poetry," he joked, "'Oh, this looks like it was done by a man from Nantucket!'"

Charlie Sheen, Two and a Half MenCharlie Sheen apparently isn't done making headlines today.

According to TMZ, 'Two and a Half Men' has just chopped four episodes from its production schedule. Following Sheen's Feb. 28 return, the show was scheduled to film eight more episodes to complete its eighth season.

Crew members are outraged, TMZ reports, with one worker telling the site, "We've been left in the dark and now we have no pay for four episodes and all we hear is that Chuck is saying, 'They're not my problem.'"

To his credit, sources told TMZ that Sheen said he would work beyond the scheduled wrap date, plus weekends, to make sure all eight episodes are filmed.

A 'Locator' Discovery Answers Questions on a Mother's Abandonment (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 8th 2010 9:40AM
Troy Dunn Finds Mother on 'The Locator'Troy Dunn's job on 'The Locator' (Sat., 10PM ET on WE) to reunite long-lost family members isn't always a pleasant one. Jennifer wants him to find her mother -- in order to learn why she left her with an abusive father.

Dunn asks the woman the same question. Her husband beat her "every day, every night," she explains.

She thought leaving her three daughters with their dad would give them shelter and food she'd be unable to provide. As a recent immigrant, she knew little English, had no money and no job.

"I thought it's more better if they living with their daddy. Because I don't think he gonna hurting them because they are his children."

Jennifer tells her mother over the phone, "Whatever angry or hurts that I'm feeling I'm going to really work to let that go, because I do want to have communication with you."

The Locator: A Father's Amends, a Daughter's Last Hope (season premiere)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2009 5:01PM
The Locator, Troy DunnThe Locator is not a show I would have found on my own. I rarely bother to see what's going on on the WE network, because... well, let's face it, it's not marketed to me. Even in the world of cable networks, WE is still a pretty small fish trying to make their mark. It's something my wife stumbled upon during one of her random TV watching days, and I'm really glad she did.

The Locator is a show about hope and second chances. Troy Dunn, who built a business around reuniting disconnected people, does just that. The stories focus on lost sons, daughters, mothers and fathers looking for loved ones. Through a network of agents, Troy finds them and stages a surprise reunion for the cameras.

It may sound a little hokey, and at times it is, but nothing takes away from the genuine moments of human interaction that the show is all about. The Locator came back for a second season, featuring two stories of daughters and fathers separated.

NBC reunites a doctor and his family in their new sitcom Nathan vs. Nature

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 15th 2009 8:08PM
Troy DunnSomebody over at NBC must watch WE's The Locator. That's a reality show where Troy Dunn helps real people find family members they've either lost or been lost from. From reality to comedy, NBC just gave a big green light to Nathan vs. Nature, a new sitcom about a 35-year old guy who reconnects with the family that gave him up for adoption. He's a successful heart surgeon. His siblings, who weren't given up for adoption, aren't nearly as successful. Hijinks ensue. Culture clash on a sitcom ... unheard of!?

There's been no casting announced yet, nor any more specifics about Nathan/Griffin's real family. I'm hoping for the Clampetts before they headed for Beverly ... Hills, that is. It's time television re-embraced its poking fun at country people roots. They poke fun at New Yorkers and Los Angelinos and big city folk all the time. Why not rednecks? They make such great targets. Or just make it the Hickeys and this can be the unofficial spin-off of My Name Is Earl.

Meanwhile, as Sarah finally settles on post-high school plans, Nicki has a surprise reunion, Alby struggles to hold on to control of the compound and one character – a major character – becomes the second shocking 'Big Love' death of the season.
