It's a parallel universe Twilight Zone, starring Flavor Flav
by Brad Trechak, posted Jan 26th 2009 12:02PM
One of the first announcements to come out of NATPE is that Flavor Flav will be hosting a television series spin-off of Nite Tales: the Movie on the BET network. I have never seen the movie, but based on its general marketing and plot synopsis, I would peg it as an African-American version of The Twilight Zone. This would make Flavor Flav into Rod Serling. Flav is a scary-looking person (although he doesn't have Rod's ominous demeanor) so perhaps it's a good piece of casting. There have been a few attempts to revive The Twilight Zone since its inception in the 1950's, including a movie and a couple of television series, and they've meet with less success as time progressed. Having a similar idea with a different name is probably for the best (unless that name is The Outer Limits).
I wonder if any of the contestants from Flavor of Love will have cameos?
Jackbutt the Movie
by Michael Canfield, posted Oct 3rd 2006 11:37AM
A movie theater owner in Iowa got squeamish, or had complaints or something, and changed the name of Jackass Number Two to "Jackbutt Two" on the marquee. An alert passerby snapped a photo which her cousin posted on Flickr where you can check it out. If anything, "Jackbutt" sounds much nastier -- downright skanky even. I don't know why they didn't go with "Jackposterior" or "Jackrearend" -- too many letters maybe. There will probably never be a movie of the CBS sitcom The Class, which is fortunate, because what could they call it at this theater? "The Cl-butt" just makes no sense at all.
