Someday, the romantic woes of Michael Scott (Steve Carell) may come to an end. Carell recently announced that he was considering leaving 'The Office' (Thu., 9PM ET on NBC) after next season. If he goes, will that leave enough time to find a happy ending for the character? Will Michael ever find true love?

Well, you have to go back to work sometime. Especially when you're a cast member on 'The Office' (Thu., 9PM ET on NBC). Pam (Jenna Fischer) returns to Dunder Mifflin after being away on maternity leave. But as soon as she gets back to work, trouble ensues. Her breast pump is suddenly missing. If past experience of 'The Office' is any guide, then this problem will be resolved in the most awkward way possible.

One man bands have always creeped me out. They never brought joy or happiness to my life. Even as a very, very small (in height, not width) child, they always looked like steampunk jukeboxes trapped inside some kind of twisted mechanical music machine that mocked their every step with annoying oompah-pah tunes.

One man, or rather two of him, have changed my perception on that phobia forever. Musician Fredrik Larsson has put together a beautiful rendition of TVs greatest tunes using nothing but a keyboard, an acoustic guitar and a DNA perfect clone of himself.

Trust me when I tell you this: the 'Charles in Charge' theme never sounded this, well, listenable.

The Academy Awards - Sunday March 7, 8 pm, CTV/ABC

Most years, there are five best picture nominees and I've usually seen one or none of them. This is due in part to the fact that the noms are usually released in theatres about five minutes before the ceremony, and the fact that I'm a lazy bum who never goes to theatres. But this year there are ten nominees in this category. Guess what? I've seen one of them. Go 'Inglourious Basterds'! As far as I know, you are totally the best picture!

'Outsourced,' one of what seems to be many Indian-infused situation comedies inspired by the wild success of 'Slumdog Millionaire,' actually came to a theater near you long before NBC picked up the pilot.

The movie as well as the TV show is based on an American who finds himself running a customer service department for a novelty company. The trailer included below actually gave me a couple of good chuckles and some hope that NBC isn't picking up its one-millionth 'The Office' clone.

I have so many friends who seem stuck in jobs that are going nowhere. Maybe it's my age - which you can't expect me to confess. Suffice to say, my friends and I are of that age where most summer weekends are spent at weddings, and conversations are increasingly interrupted by the mewling of babies in the background. It's an age where your priorities shift away from painting the town red towards buying paint for the kids' room. And it's an age where you start to wonder if you'll always have a job, or if you'll ever get a career.

Sometimes it's hard to see the truth of what's going on in your own life, and easier to judge the lives of others. Like the fictional others of television shows. If you find yourself relating especially closely to any of the following, it might be time to spruce up your resume.

Could there be some new blood in the Best Comedy Series race at the Golden Globes this year? Could this be the year that '30 Rock' (pictured, right) is finally dethroned? A lot of strong comedy newcomers this year could make that happen. Expect to see some fresh faces when the Globe nominations are announced on Dec. 15.

The Front Runners: Besides '30 Rock,' which won last year, the class of 2009 nominees -- 'The Office,' 'Californication,' 'Entourage' and 'Weeds' -- all have the inside track on a return to the Globes ceremony this year.

It's annoying when burnt-out hippies on the street say, "Life's been a long strange ride, man" -- but it's all too appropriate when Creed Bratton of 'The Office' says it.

Bratton went to college on a swimming scholarship, then chased his rock star dreams around Europe, hooking up with the folk group The Grass Roots in 1965. Wanting to act, he won small TV roles before a friend gave him stand-in work on 'The Bernie Mac Show,' where he met Ken Kwapis -- "a huge Grass Roots fan," according to Bratton -- who got him background work on 'The Office.' There, he convinced showrunner Greg Daniels to let him create "this character that was sort of addled and weird, who'd done a lot of drugs and stuff." And "Creed" was born.

Creed (the actor) gave us the lowdown on what makes Creed (the character) tick and what his most memorable lines are, as well as the closest he ever got to homelessness and where the name Creed actually came from.

It's the holiday season at Adult Swim, and its bizarre collection of Christmas specials mark the celebration starting tonight.

According to a network release, Robot Chicken gets the jingle bell rolling Dec. 6 at 11:45 p.m. ET/PT with Episode 71, "Dear Consumer." The show tunes in as "Thor celebrates Christmas in Asgard, and Santa adds 'Walter PPK' to the bad boy list.

The Aqua Teen Hunger Force Christmas Special premieres Sunday, Dec. 13 at 11:45 p.m. ET/PT -- sending The Aqua Teens out to record and release their own Christmas album -- after they steal someone's identity.

Showtime got the most love today from the Producers Guild of America (PGA), as the guild announced nominations for television series (scripted and non-fiction). Showtime leads with four nominations ('Dexter,' 'Californication,' 'Weeds,' and the non-fiction 'This American Life.' AMC, Bravo, CBS, NBC and HBO each netted two nominations.

I had a really hard time finding an image to include with this article. I went through every newspaper article that had "The Jay Leno Show" in the body of its text. I did searches on Google Images until Google got sick of me clogging their bandwidth. Even my editor Jane Boursaw couldn't use her super press connection powers to find one stinking shot of Jay blowing his nose in between sets from Friday's show.

Perhaps that's because Friday's late night appetizer on NBC wasn't really all that eventful. Don't take that to mean that it was totally dull, drab or boring, just a typical show for Jay and company.

And given some of the past episodes that sucked out loud, there's nothing wrong with being typical. Compared to the Pee Wee Herman debacle, it's a Devil's Tower sized step up.

This Thursday, 'The Office' is back with season 6. (8 PM ET, Global/NBC)

Last season was a bit of mixed bag - with the Jim and Pam romance resolved, the show was forced to look elsewhere for longer plot arcs. The Dwight-Angela-Andy love triangle was good for a few awkward laughs, but didn't offer the same vicarious thrill. Can season 6 bring the show back on track?

An idea that was a joke just a few months ago will soon be a reality in London.

The Office: The Opera will hit the stage for a one-night only engagement at London's Proud Galleries Wednesday, August 19. The concept of an operatic version of the Ricky Gervais and Steven Merchant classic was used as a spoof for the pair's contribution to this year's U.K. Comic Relief.

In the sketch, Gervais is such an ego-maniacal weed that he wouldn't allow the then-fictional opera to proceed unless a male model portrayed his old role of David Brent. But, Gervais is actually very charity-friendly, so I imagine this was an easy call for he and Merchant.

The Office and Extras star Ricky Gervais might be looking to give up acting to focus more on writing and directing.

As talented and naturally funny as Gervais is, it could be said that he never really took up acting in the first place. While relaxed on camera, he's essentially played himself (or enhanced aspects of himself) in most TV shows or movies he's appeared in so far -- including his starring role in Ghost Town last year.

According to The Daily Star, Gervais is so in love with directing that he'd rather invest his time there, rather than take on more lead or supporting roles (as in the Night at the Museum series).

The creator of the world's most popular sitcom franchise, The Office, should be beyond the reach of critics anywhere. But, Ricky Gervais is preemptively telling reviewers to lay off his new movie, The Invention of Lying.

The comedy Gervais co-wrote and directed with Matthew Robinson explores a world where no one has ever lied until a writer seizes the opportunity for personal gain.

Gervais doesn't want critics to expect too much. On his blog, he wrote, "Dear critics (everyone), when judging the film, please remember that it is a high concept, PG-13 romantic comedy. It's not Schindler's List or The Godfather."
