Meredith Vieira Draws a Blank on 'Today' (VIDEO)
What's the name of that band? Help us out. You know, it's the one with that guy.Meredith Vieira loses her train of thought while interviewing Sting on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) and forgets the name of his band the Police.
'Don't Stand So Close to Me'/'Young Girl' Mashup on 'Glee' (VIDEO)
In last night's episode of 'Glee,' Rachel starts to develop a crush on Mr. Schuester, prompting him to respond with a mashup of 'Don't Stand So Close to Me,' by The Police and 'Young Girl,' by Gary Puckett and the Union Gap.By accentuating the themes in both songs dealing with inappropriate relationships between men and younger women, Schuester hopes to put an end to the growing infatuation, but Rachel only has eyes for him and unfortunately misses the entire point.

Do you still want your MTV? - VIDEO
I remember when MTV first launched, way back in 1981. I was in high school, and it instantly became THE MOST IMPORTANT TV STATION IN OUR LIVES. Looking back I guess that seems sort of silly, but when you're a teenager and you can come home from school and see your favorite songs all day long in video form, that's pretty cool.I have no idea what MTV is like these days. I've watched it only a few times in the past several years, and even that was something like The Real World or maybe some special. People have been complaining for years that the network hasn't been showing videos like they used to. I don't know how true that is now, but if you're looking for a station completely devoted to music videos (and not reality programming), then check out MTV Music, the new web site that houses a bunch of videos old and new.
Forbes picks the 100 most powerful celebrities
Like most red-blooded Americans, I love lists. We do a lot of them here at TV Squad and you'll see them at many sites every single day of the week. But I think that sometimes the lists go too far. I mean, what's the point of listing the top 50 or top 100 of something? Isn't that a little bit too many spots? Instead of getting down to the nitty-gritty (say, a top 10 or top 25), you ended up not only listing the best, worst, most, least (or whatever the list's topic is), you're just listing all of them.
Case in point, this Forbes list of the 100 most powerful celebrities.
The Police to perform on MTV Unplugged - VIDEO
Are you a fan of the rock band The Police and musical instruments that aren't plugged in? Then I have good news for you.
The Police, who are currently on a reunion tour, will be performing an all-acoustic set for MTV Unplugged somewhere in Miami on July 13, according to Fox News. There's no specific word yet on just which venue the performance will take place, but fans will no doubt be able to catch the performance on MTV (and perhaps also VH1 and CMT). The article further states that an album could result from the Unplugged performance, which should make fans very happy, especially those fans who can't afford tickets.
