Jeremy Piven On 'Entourage' Movie: 'That's the Rumor Right Now' (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 9th 2011 7:00PM
Despite the somewhat underwhelming 'Entourage,' finale, fans of the show (and the cast themselves) have been clamoring for a post-script movie. So when Jeremy Piven stopped by 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to promote his new film 'I Melt You,' the ladies had to ask about the 'Entourage' project.Piven was optimistic but vague about the potential film. "We're teed up for a movie in a way that, you know, Ari has this conundrum that he's facing," Piven said, "which is either to rule the world or to honor his love to his wife." Just to clarify, Sheryl Underwood asked, "So the movie's going to happen?" and Piven, without giving a solid confirmation, responded in the affirmative. "That's the rumor right now."
'The Talk': Vicki Lawrence's Mama Has the Solution to US Border Problems (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 9th 2011 12:15AM
At 62 years old, Vicki Lawrence is closing in on the 65-year old character she first made famous on 'The Carol Burnett Show.' 'Mama's Family' would go on to run five seasons of its own, and as proven on 'The Talk' (Weekdays, Syndicated on CBS), it's a character she's still not gotten rid of.And somehow, 'Mama' Thelma Harper doesn't look like she's aged a day in the past 30+ years. But she's as opinionated and progressive as ever, proposing that the solution to the border patrol problems is to build senior citizen homes along it.
"Nobody sees more than a nosy old lady," she said as the audience erupted in roars of laughter.
NeNe Leakes Admits 'Housewives' Drama Is Draining, But She Can't Quit It (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Dec 7th 2011 8:00PM
It's not everyday that NeNe Leakes appears on TV in a reflective mood, getting along well with a group of women. But Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star dropped the fiestiness that's become her reality TV trademark, and had an honest discussion about some of the perils of the 'Housewives' genre.Aisha Tyler had a few questions about the constantly combative, drama-drenched nature of the show. "Doesn't it get exhausting, fighting all the time?" she asked. "Very exhausting, it's very negative, I'm so tired," Leakes replied. "It's very entertaining though, don't ya think?" Tyler asked the logical follow-up question. "It's entertaining, but do you ever feel like, 'I don't want to do this anymore?'" Leakes exhaled and thought for a moment, and then admitted, "Sometimes, yeah."

by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 6th 2011 6:30PM
Sara Gilbert welcomed her sister, former 'Little House on the Prairie' star Melissa Gilbert, to 'The Talk' on Tuesday. It was a sweet reunion and everything was going well until Sharon Osbourne took control of the conversation and steered it toward Sara's sexuality."When did you first realize that your beautiful sister loved vajayjay?" she asked. Sara slumped back in her chair and covered her face in embarrassment as Melissa told a few stories about Sara's coming out process. When they were teenagers, Melissa suspected Sara was gay, and took her sister out to dinner to remind her that she could tell her anything. But Sara wasn't ready yet, and told her big sister she wasn't gay.

by Alex Moaba, posted Dec 5th 2011 5:15PM
Nancy Grace didn't seem like she was in a dancing mood on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) but the ladies had other ideas. As the 'Dancing With the Stars' veteran worked through her list of excuses -- she didn't have the right shoes, there was no dancefloor, she needed music and her partner -- the 'Talk' ladies had an answer for every one of them. They brought Grace a pair of dancing shoes, cleared the studio floor, lowered a mirrored ball, and then Grace's 'DWTS' partner Tristan MacManus appeared from backstage.Larry King Previews His 'Dinner With the Kings' CNN Special (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 2nd 2011 7:15PM
When Larry King's CNN show ended last year, he entered into semi-retirement with a deal to create four specials per year for the network. Friday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) King previewed his final special of 2011, 'Dinner with the Kings,' which airs this Sunday. No one knew each other, but everyone got along. Thus, 'Dinner with the Kings' was born.

by Stephanie Opella, posted Dec 1st 2011 6:30PM
Mark-Paul Gosselaar told 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) the secret to keeping teen TV stars grounded: cancel their shows every season. Gosselaar, who became tremendously popular at the age of 12 as the star of 'Saved By The Bell,' explained that the cast of the now-beloved show stayed modest because they had no idea they were popular."We were just doing this little show that got canceled every single year we did the show. But it was like, 'Oh, they're bringing you back because they have nothing on the schedule.'" And without Twitter, paparazzi or the Internet, Gosselaar explained that "we didn't have big heads because we didn't think we were doing anything that people were watching."

Regis Tells 'The Talk' That His 'Live!' Departure Wasn't About Money (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Nov 29th 2011 5:45PM
Regis Philbin may not be on 'Live!' anymore, but that doesn't mean he's done with daytime TV. Tuesday on 'The Talk,' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) he was crowned the 'King of Television,' and sat on a throne wearing a crown, cape and holding a scepter while he talked about why he left the show he created 28 years ago.Julie Chen started in on him with a true or false question: "Were you asked to stay at an insulting pay cut?" Regis confirmed that a contract extension at a lower rate was something that he discussed with ABC, but ultimately decided against. But Reeg wouldn't let Chen off the hook that easily. He jokingly screamed back at her, "There was a pay cut as there was in ALL OF THE NETWORKS, HELLO!" Chen awkwardly protested that there hadn't been any cuts at CBS, and the two went back and forth for awhile until Regis mercifully changed the subject.

As it turns out, Danson's wife, actress Mary Steenburgen, wasn't watching the interview live, but she did hear about it ... right before boarding an airplane.Steenburgen described getting a text from a friend with the message, "Oh my god, I'm laughing so hard at your husband in bed with all those women," right before she had to shut her phone down for a five-hour flight.

Rita Moreno, George Chakiris and Russ Tamblyn, who played Anita, Bernardo and Riff fifty years ago in 'West Side Story,' stopped by 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) to reminisce about making the classic American musical. Perez Hilton was guest-hosting, and began by announcing, "I am such a show queen; I love 'West Side Story'!" He then launched into his best Anita impression and sang a bit from 'America'. He reminded Moreno of the Oscar she won for her performance and she countered by reminding him that she also won a Golden Globe. Angela Kinsey's Daughter and Grandmother Don't Watch Her on 'The Office' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 12:15AM
Ironically, according to Angela Kinsey on 'The Talk' (Weekdays, Syndicated on CBS), it looks like her daughter and grandmother don't watch her on 'The Office' for largely the same reasons. According to Kinsey, her 94-year old grandmother told her, "Baby, we are so proud for you, but I don't care for it and I do not watch it."It's just a little too crude for the oldest and youngest members of her family. Her daughter, actually, is still struggling with the concept of even seeing her mother on television. She saw Kinsey's Clairol commercial and tried to talk to her.
When Kinsey came home, her daughter asked her, "Why didn't you talk to me today? You were on the box."

Ted Danson Gets Into Bed With 'The Talk' Ladies (VIDEO)
by Stephanie Opella, posted Nov 2nd 2011 7:30PM
When Julie Chen announced that 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) was going to "Get in bed with Ted," she meant it literally. Danson rolled out on an oversized bed, surrounded by Sheryl Underwood, Sharon Osbourne, Sarah Gilbert and Aisha Tyler. Julie put on the silky robe that was waiting for her and joined the group, which Osbourne joked was "like the UN on here."Sarah Gilbert asked Danson, who tries to eat a mostly vegan diet, what tempts him more: a beautiful woman or a juicy cheeseburger. He thought it over for a moment and then responded, "You're asking me if I would rather eat a cheeseburger ..." and trailed off as Julie broke in and yelled, "Don't go there, Ted! Don't even!"
