Ellen DeGeneres Gets Gerard Butler to Wear a Kilt With Her Face on It (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 24th 2010 4:58PM
Ellen Gets Gerard Butler to Wear a Kilt with Her Face on ItEllen DeGeneres is really good at embarrassing her guests. Just this past week she made Betty White submit to a male stripper lap-dance. And on the latest episode of 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), she made hunky star Gerard Butler put on a kilt.

For the record, Butler is actually Scottish and has worn kilts before. Still, he seems a little bemused at DeGeneres' request -- and at the bizarre kilt that she wants him to wear. "It's like the Argentina [flag] with your face on it," he says. To add insult to injury, DeGeneres then gives him a pair of skimpy underwear with her name on it. Yikes!

Kristin Chenoweth Talks About Twittering While on Drugs, on 'Ellen'You should never use Twitter while on drugs. Well, actually, you should never Tweet at all. (Unless you have truly deep thoughts that can fit into 140 characters.) But you should especially never Tweet while on drugs.

On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Kristin Chenoweth talked about the perils of Tweeting while under the influence. Apparently, the 'Glee' star did some Tweeting while on the sleep drug Ambien, with unfortunate results. "I have tried to hide my own phone from my own self," she said, because of a bad experience Tweeting. During the crisis in Haiti, she was watching it one night while on Ambien and Tweeted that she would adopt a baby. And then forgot about it by the next day. by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 22nd 2010 6:55PM
Everything is coming up Betty White these days. Thanks to an energetic Internet campaign, the star of 'The Golden Girls' will host 'Saturday Night Live' on May 8. And this Monday, White appeared on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show,' where DeGeneres attempted to prep her for any comedy surprises that 'SNL' might throw her way.

Things started off slow, with DeGeneres just wearing a pair of googley novelty eyeglasses and a pair of fake teeth. But then she upped the comedy ante by bringing on a male stripper. The stripper did a bump and grind for White, giving her a lap dance as the audience shouted their approval. At the end of the dance, White had this to say: "Do I get to take him home?"

Oh, Betty. We love you. You can have whatever you want.

Pam Anderson Reveals Too Much on 'The Ellen DeGeneres' Show (VIDEO)

by Harley W. Lond, posted Mar 18th 2010 8:38PM
Wonder why Pam Anderson hasn't been in the spotlight lately? Well, she's been in training with partner Damian to prepare for her debut on season 10 of 'Dancing With the Stars,' which begins Monday.

Anderson was on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) in a skintight dress which, when she sat down, revealed just a little too much. That didn't bother DeGeneres -- "I'm not worried about me, I'm worried about the people there," DeGeneres said, pointing to the audience. Later, Anderson said that her outfits for 'Dancing With the Stars' were even more revealing and DeGeneres, worried that Anderson would have a wardrobe malfunction, gave her some Ellen DeGeneres pasties -- just in case. And, lastly, DeGeneres was concerned that Anderson might be too top-heavy for dancing.

Being on a hit TV shows has its pitfalls, not the least of which is being recognized wherever you go (and losing your privacy). Ty Burrell ('Modern Family') told Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday's 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) about a weird encounter he had while walking through New York's Central Park with his wife.

"We were walking through a tunnel and at the end of the tunnel was a guy who looked pretty much homeless," Burrell said. "And he was playing a fiddle with like two strings on it. And as I got toward the end of the tunnel ... he said 'Not since "Frasier" has a show come on the air knowing its tone so completely.'" Bizarre.

Chris O'Donnell likes to get dangerous -- singing karaoke.

O'Donnell admitted to Ellen DeGeneres on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) that he likes to sing karaoke "but generally not in a sober state." "What do you have to drink if you want to sing karaoke?" DeGeneres asked. "I'll have a little Margarita or something," O'Donnell replied. "I don't know Madonna," Gyllenhaal told Ellen DeGeneres on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). But "someone introduced me to her at the party and kind of led me over to her. She didn't say hi, she just started dancing with me ... and I was drunk enough that I kinda of danced with her." And it's a good thing, too, cause later Madonna was dancing with Gyllenhaal's husband (Peter Sarsgaard).
