Jennifer Tilly Wants to Give Up Playing Poker, Get Back Into Acting (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 4:15AM
Jennifer Tilly, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Jennifer Tilly has made quite a name for herself in the world of professional poker, but it's a name she may soon be leaving behind, according to her stop by 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She explained with a very drawn out example one of the reasons why poker may be more stress than its worth.

More specifically, though, Tilly said, "When I was an actress, I would go on the set, I'd say one line, I'd collect my bill for $30,000 and I would go home. When I'm playing poker ... I put my $30,000 on the table, I play for 20 hours, there's nothing left." That's just math, and you can't argue with the numbers.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Disappointed We Have to Hear So Much About the Kardashians (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 8th 2011 6:00AM
Jeffrey Dean Morgan, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Geoff the Robot showed a respectable depth of knowledge about the Kardashian clan, and it was a feat guest Jeffrey Dean Morgan admitted he could not duplicate on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:30AM ET on CBS). In fact, he learned more about them from Geoff than he'd probably ever known.

I'm just really disappointed that we have to hear so much about them," Morgan said. Unless, that is, he were able to marry into the family. Then he'd be fine with it.

Ferguson happily told him there was an opening and he could jump right in there. "And it's not a long commitment," he said. "It's like three, four months, you're done."

Ferguson Curses at His Audience for Getting Involved in Alan Alda's Story (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 4th 2011 6:15AM
Alan Alda, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Alan Alda appeared to be the only one on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) who was fascinated by his story of Marie Curie. We guessed that, at least based on Craig Ferguson's expression throughout, which was one of feigned interest.

But then, when Alda revealed that the guy who revitalized passion in her heart after the death of her husband was himself married, the audience gasped. Not only were they following the story, they were clearly on the edge of their seats, and now so invested in her story as to be shocked.

Ted Danson Says He's Not Allowed to Talk About His Penis on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 3rd 2011 7:00AM
Ted Danson, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Ted Danson's wife was really cramping Craig Ferguson's style on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), and she wasn't even there. When Ferguson asked Danson about his penis size, as he is wont to do, Danson said, "One of the rules when I got married was I don't get to talk about my penis."

Another rule, apparently, was that he wasn't allowed to do any more nude scenes, after the one he did in the 2005 film 'The Amateurs.' And yet, his wife, Mary Steenburgen, has done tons of sex scenes.

"Steve Martin, Johnny Depp, it goes on and on," Danson lamented.

Maria Bello Hits Craig Ferguson for His Double Entendre on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 7:00AM
Maria Bello, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Craig Ferguson knows how to turn almost any topic sexual. He caught Maria Bello off guard with a conversation about the infamous hat she wears on 'Prime Suspect.' She brought the hat with her on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), where she put it on Ferguson's head.

He thought it made his head look huge, so he put it on hers. He'd said earlier that he thought she had a lovely head, but he liked it with the hat on as well.

"It looks good," he said. "I'm surprised that you chose to wear a hat, because you're famous for your head."

Sarah Paulson and Craig Ferguson Touch Their Noses With Their Tongues (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 21st 2011 4:45AM
Sarah Paulson, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'For some reason, Sarah Paulson was nervous coming onto 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She was nervously touching Craig Ferguson's hands, and admitted that hers were a bit wet.

This led to a discussion on the lengths of giraffes' tongues, and then finally theirs. They didn't pull them out for measurement, but did showcase some nice nose-touching skills.

Paulson loves animals, but isn't such a big fan of zoos. When Ferguson said she should go to good zoos to fight off being sad for the animals, she responded with, "A good zoo is somehow better because they're not actually trapped behind bars at a good zoo?"

Carla Gugino's Beauty Leaves Craig Ferguson Tongue-Tied (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 20th 2011 3:45AM
Carla Gugino, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Carla Gugino is a beautiful woman, and we know with some certainly that Craig Ferguson feels that way as well. On 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), she had the host so flustered he could barely string intelligible words together into a sentence.

"You must think men behave like idiots all the time," he told her. "But it's only when you're around."

When she noticed their outfits matched, Gugino said they should probably go to an event together, but when pressed for which event she suggested they go to a wax museum.

Carey Mulligan Almost Leaves for NBC After Ferguson Brings Up Her Oscar Loss (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 19th 2011 4:00AM
Carey Mulligan, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'You know something you usually don't hear talk show hosts mention when talking about or to their guests? The awards they didn't win! But that didn't stop Craig Ferguson from mentioning that Carey Mulligan didn't win the Oscar on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) as he was introducing her.

"If she won, she'd be on NBC," he quipped.

Once she was properly on, he apologized for bringing it up, but she said it was fine. But when he complimented her dress, Mulligan mimed looking at her watch and said, "Actually, I've gotta get to NBC."

Joel Schumacher Talks About Being on Spy Magazine's 'Big Penis List' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 18th 2011 4:00AM
Joel Schumacher, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'With a topic that might never get covered on any other talk show, Craig Ferguson inexplicably found himself discussing penis size with Joel Schumacher on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). Now Ferguson was baiting Shumacher with jokes about his "notorious" large feet.

"I was actually on the 'Big Penis List' in 'Spy' Magazine,"Shumacher told him, before qualifying the claim with, "It's not so, but I was happy to be on the list."

At this, Ferguson claimed outrage that he'd never been included on any such lists. "I've been a tramp for years, not a peep!" he shouted. "And I've got an enormous penis."

Kathy Bates and Craig Ferguson Discuss if She Has a Drinking Problem or Not (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 14th 2011 4:45AM
'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Craig Ferguson knows a thing or two about alcoholism. So maybe it was from a point of concern that he started analyzing Kathy Bates' drinking habits on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:30AM ET on CBS).

At the same time, it almost sounded like a trip down memory lane for him, as he started asking her about keeping her vodka in the freezer, which she does.

"You don't care where this stuff comes from, and you don't really know how much of it you drink," he mused. She said as long as it was in the freezer, she really didn't care. "Doesn't sound to me like you've got a problem at all," Ferguson concluded.

Jim Parsons Says Watching 'Real Housewives' Makes Him Really Uncomfortable (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 13th 2011 7:45AM
Jim Parsons, 'Late Late Show'Craig Ferguson was grilling Jim Parsons about his TV viewing habits on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) when he discovered that the 'Big Bang Theory' star is not a fan of reality TV shows.

Parsons said he can't watch 'Real Housewives,' for example, because "I find it very upsetting. ... It makes me really uncomfortable."

Ferguson's obviously not a 'Real Housewives' fan either, referring to it as "a really terrible product." However, it doesn't seem to provoke the same remote-grabbing reaction from him. Parsons' dislike of the show is so great that even if he's just walking past a TV showing it, he just has to change the channel immediately.

Steven Wright and Craig Ferguson on 3-D, Tax Forms and Air Conditioning (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 12th 2011 5:00AM
Steven Wright, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'An interview that goes off into strange territory is nothing new on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:30AM ET on CBS), but Craig Ferguson's chat with Steven Wright got a little weirder than usual. Granted, weird is where Steven Wright makes his living.

Ferguson asked him about those 3-D posters that required you to screw your eyeballs just right to see the illusion -- they were all the rage in the mid-'90s. Wright replied that he was doing it right then looking at Ferguson.

"You're making me 3D, just by looking at me?" Ferguson marveled.

Betty White Announces She's Running for President on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 11th 2011 6:15AM
Betty White, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Betty White is always a hoot when she makes her frequent stops to 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She usually spotlights some zany new job she has and passes sexual innuendos back and forth with Craig Ferguson, but this time she had some serious business to talk about.

White has decided to run for president, and she's doing it for a reason many Americans can relate to in these tough economic times. "I needed some cash," she said. "I'm flat broke."

Unfortunately, she didn't put as much thought into her campaign posters. She brought one to show Ferguson, which mimicked the color style of the Barack Obama 'Hope' posters. But her message might be misconstrued. The posters read 'White Power.'

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 7th 2011 5:30AM
Evangeline Lilly, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'People anxious to know the name of Evangeline Lilly's baby almost got the answer on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She was seriously considering making the announcement, until Craig Ferguson basically talked her out of it.

He reminded her that there had already been an announcement, when he and Geoff announced their intention to run for president. Lilly asked if she could be the First Lady, unaware that it was Geoff who was running for president, so she'd have to marry him.

"Hey, Freckles," Geoff cooed at her when she looked his way, referencing her nickname from 'Lost.'

Craig Ferguson Keeps Mocking Joel McHale on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)

Joel McHale, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Joel McHale couldn't catch a break on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). McHale may be the king of snark over on 'The Soup,' but he's working off a script over there. Craig Ferguson works off the cuff, and sometimes it just comes at you too fast to react.

Ferguson slammed McHale's broadcast network NBC, and even interrupts McHale's story about his experience at Wimbledon to dig into him some more. McHale said of Wimbledon, "I didn't realize what happens there."

At that point, Ferguson very slowly explained, "One hits the ball over the net and somebody hits the ball back. It's not the most complicated sport in the world."
